This is 3 years in a row where Larry Bird due to his HORRIBLE jumpshot release sucks!!!! Shooting with him is impossible!!!! Obviously I can edit it myself, and he is just a legend so it doesnt really matter that much, but I want to know am I the only one who cant shoot with him?!?!?!?!
BTW, THANK GOD Patrick Ewing is now in the game!!!! Even better is that he has his high-top fade i the 80's and his mini-fro in the 90's team. Love it!!!! But I still cant shoot with Bird!!!!!!

Are you sure, i always found Bird's Jumpshot to be too good. He's got the fastest pull up jumper in the game and it can not be blocked, and If you play basketball, which you probly do, you know that the quicker you pull up, the bigger threat you are on offense, thats why Ray Allen is so good. I generally get 50-60 points with him just on 3 pointers, sometimes shooting from halfway.
The tricks to let go of the shot stick real quick, like a pump fake but hold it for a little longer, and it always goes in.

Nah man of course Larry Bird doesnt suck!!!! I just meant for me he kinda did cause I couldnt shoot with him to save my life. But someone replied saying he has a quick release and I never released like that, actually did the opposite since his shot actually takes some time to get off. Now that I shoot with him with a quick release I noticed a huge difference.
I only wrote about this cause I love playing with the legends and do seasons with them involved. Although unfortunately some of the ratings are downright horrible and I personally went through each legend individually using their real-life career stats to fix some obvious mistakes (you would think using career FT% would be an easy way to figure out a players FT rating but no to 2K apparently for a bunch of legends).

i always found it funny how the 50/60's players had high 3 pt ratings
also bob cousy should not be a 99. this dude never shot over 40% his entire career in an era when it was easier to find good shots.

Easier to find good shots? Let's take 1956 as an example year, since it's right in the middle of his career. The league-wide shooting average that year was 38%. Now let's fast-forward to the 2007-2008 year. The LOWEST FG% for a team last year was 43.5% That's almost a full 4% higher than the HIGHEST FG% from '56. Let's not bash one of the greatest players of all time because he played in a more defensive era.

It's essentially the same timing as Kevin Martin or Shawn Marion's shot, as I'm sure other people in this thread have already pointed out...
