we all know about the fg% down low...and i dont wanan hear that **** that u gotta play better defense..no matter what you do big men are gunna get there points very easily...poing guards drive in on like 4 guys and score easy *** layups( yes layups are supposed to be easy but not when theres big men all over your face)..another bug is that when u try to post up the player just stands there like a ***in wall and it annoys the **** out of me....sometims bigs start posting up from like 18 feet away. wtf is that? they look like slashing guards instead of bigs...the game is not all that bad but if there is something that ruins the experience it's the post game and the unreal fg %

I don't want to be quick to judge, but did you actually take the time to learn the new post controls:
front your man, deny the ball, push them out of the lane, you have FAR more control over shading them to force an awkward shot. And 2K9 gave you almost an entire second more of reaction time to block the shot, you don't have to be psychic any more!

2K has a more comprehensive manual online.

2K9 has the most post-defense options of any game produced. It was 2K8 where you were pretty much helpess. Your man could just get position at will and do anything he wanted if he had the isomotion under control.

Guys shoot 90% everygame is just stupid. It is way too easy to score in the post.
I guard the guy with the ball , so I cant deny the ball, push them out the lane. They ned to change sliders. Alot of people are expressing that it is way too easy so it must be true.
Where is this manual online?

I guard the guy with the ball , so I cant deny the ball, push them out the lane. And that's why you play horrible D. Seriously, 90%!! I'm not getting stats even remotely close to that. You need to enhance your skills and learn off-ball D, man. You're going to crushed by the CPU and online only playing the ball.

You just can't let the CPU get whatever position they want. That's not sim gameplay. You have to get down there and fight that post-up. Who cares about the PG dribbling on the arc? He's only trying to dump it in the post anyways. You have to deal with the issue at hand.

BTW, the web address is the manual in the isomotion section.

I am still good defensively. I am 8-1 online. But I like to play on ball. I dont like to have the CPU guard a guy for me that is lame. If I wanted to play against the CPU I wouldnt go online.
Sim gameplay is guarding the ball in my mind.

But maybe for online games I will have to mix it up like u say , I will try those tips and I didnt know u could push the guy out the post. I gotta check out that maual good look.

Basketball is all about what's going on AWAY from the ball. You need to constantly switch back and forth on-ball/off-ball. If their PG is just standing there dribbling waiting for Ray Allen to come off a screen or KG to post-up 3 feet away from the hoop, you need to recognize what's going on and stop it. This isn't 1-on-1. This is 5-on-5. That PG aint going to hurt you out there.

What's more sim about ignoring 9/10 guys on the floor and sit their swiping at the ball the whole game??? And how is that more fun?

^^ What a horrible post.

This thread is about the post game. Now if you don't want to talk about that, go whine elsewhere. And use a damn spell-check next time. It's laborious to read through 5th grade writing like that.

The OP basically admitted that he hasn't gotten down the new post controls. Until you've atleast spent some time to LEARN this new game, how the heck can you complain about it?

Here is a fix for me
ON the coaching strategy, change the way your team guards certain players.

I had some williams guy last night in my association mode keep backing down and diving in the lane owning my *** with layups and tear drops. So what did I do?
Called a full time out and changed my strategy to more defense and had 2 people on him when he was in the post. So what was the end result........Shut him down and he was ice cold

The purpose of drafting post players is because that is that area of the court will produce a higher fg made %. Coaches love post players because of that fact. The Lakers and celtics won all there chips b/c of the great post players they had. I understand your fustration but realistically if you dont bring a double a good post player will kill you. Dont fall in love with the slashers and the jordans its only a hand full of players of those calibers. Remember the game is played from the inside out not the other way.

with that said there is some issues with the game, but imo they are minimal and dont affect the fun factor.

Understand what u are saying. But how many really good post players are there in the NBA? Maybe 4 or 5. And lets talk about recent championships. The Celtics are outside an outside team "KG" plays basically the high post. The Spurs had Duncan legit post player. The Pistons were an outside team , the game is changing so I respectfully disagree with your post.

And to the other brilliant guy that posted u cant change the sliders online.

And mr. sig shot I am still 8-1 online the 90% was an exageration. But I guarantee I will smash u if we play.

Can you post a link to shading players in the post the correct way. I can't seem to get any blocks with Oden and yets I get swatted all day if I make a mistake around Gasol. I'm pretty sure Oden has a solid block rating but I just can't block at all. I'd appreciate it.

Allstar mode on Online is a Joke!

Jumpshots always go in.
Contested layups go in.
There is a lot of sliding.

Shade DEFENSE !!!!! Shade the area where there is no help..

Don't shade him where the double team is coming. then he'll just juke both of you and FREE WILLIE BIG MAN COMING THROUGH!!!!
