yo dont play a guy named swaggarightb on xbox 360 i just played the ***** and he shot the ball 61 times with lebron , its funny cuz my player has the tired cup and i sub them out lebron had the tired cup an continued to shoot like he wasnt tired now i dont mind someone going off with a star i love lebron but 61 shots to score 64 points is out of control, this is why lobbies are important cuz i gotta deal with crap like this and i am actually good at the game i took the guy into overtime where lebron was tired still

Im the chicago bulls with my association mode. Honestly my money maker isnt with rose. My 2 main money makers are my created player (his rating is 80) And tyrus thomas. Derrick rose is def my bread and butter though. His defense skills are wonderful and he easily gets 5+ assists each game (5min quarters). I havent tried any of the other big name rookies yet

But back to the topic......Derrick Rose is really really good. I watch college basketball. Before He got to Memphis. Memphis was a great team. Imagine the Suns without s Steve Nash. They would probably still be a good team. Thats exactly what Derrick Rose is to the Bulls. When a scout says "Once he enters the league. He will automaicly become the most athletic point guard in the league." You know something must be up. The Bull have a good team. with alot of good players. Derrick is going to make them 20 times better.

Don't get me wrong Russell is going to be good. You should of seen the Final Four (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0UHs6eNCvE). Russell held his own. But he could not stop Rose (http://nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/derrickrose.html) from getting in the lane. That was basiclly the reason why they lost. The in final vs kansas. Memphis was the down the whole game. But you could see that Rose was in this passive mode. But in the second half. He must of got yelled at or something. He was a demon in the second half.

In real life, Rose is not that good. Yeah, he's an athletic freak, but he defers to EVERYONE. I don't know where the CP3/Deron comparisons came from in scouting reports, because the guy averaged less assists than Jerryd Bayless in college, and Bayless is known as a shoot first PG.

All of Rose's problems are mental. He needs more confidence and better pacing, he needs to know when to take over and when to pass, and he needs to do a better overall job of setting guys up (5 assists, 6 turnovers in his first preseason game).

Other than that, yeah, he's what he should be in 2K9.

Westbrook is really a SG, so chanes are he won't be that good of a PG in his first year. He had this one summer league game where he was insane, though.

Newsflash... if you can't do well in a preseason game, it says a lot.

Would it make you somehow feel better if it were a regular season game and he played that badly?

Realistically, I'm not surprised. he even struggled in summer league.

There are very few PGs who are every good as rookies, and even fewer 19 year old PGs who are good as rookies.

Tony Parker averaged 9 pts and 4 asts as a 19 year old rookie. Such production for Rose should not be viewed as a disappointment given the sizable position glut.

His best case scenario is pretty much the 16 pts and 8 asts Marbury averaged as a rookie, but he's not gonna get the PT for that without some trades.

13 pts, 6 ast, 4 rebs and 4 to his second game. So he is already getting better. And if any of you exactually seen the game you can easily see that his dribble penetration and court vision is already defining what the team will be about. In that first game a lot of those turnovers were good passes to teammates who couldnt handle them. Including the two very first plays where Hinrich blew a fastbreak past and the second play where Thomas let a perfect alleyoop slip through his hands.

Hey first time poster never took the time to check out these forums abd i regret it now. They look great but I have to backup what billbixpy is saying. If you actually watched these first two games it is pretty clear that he is one of those hard to find pure points. Hes already shown an ability to know who to give the ball, when to give it to them and what spots they should get it. To see that out of a 20 year old in his second nba game is exciting and its only going to get better as he matures and plays together with Tyrus and Deng and Noah and Thabo. His athletic ability and handles are obvious. One last thing, that defering arguement, I have seen this kid play in high school and we all saw him in college. He does what gets his team the W. The title game at Simeon he scored 9 points and DOMINATED the game. Scored all the big buckets for them. This is too long so Im just going to stop.
