Direct IP in PC version yes/no?

Is there a direct ip option for the pc version? It's the simplest way to play with your friends. I won't buy it if it doesn't have this option. Many thanks to whoever answers

I'd prefer the cross-plataform feature. It'd be possible PC players to challenge 360 or PS3 players.
Considering PC has Windows Live available, it would be even easier to make cross-platform happen.
