Give us 2K10

http://www.myspace.com/2kgridironleague

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc73/tjspeaks/1-26.jpg

chorus

We making this song just for 2K sports,
The Big Wigs in the suits always reading reports,
Throw a dog a bone, so we can get off that porch
And watch us come out like election day and show our support
We nominate you to be the chief in command-----
All Pro is proof, you can supply the demand-----
So I give you a hand----, in fact a standing ovation
Wont you give us 2K10 for your 2k nation

verse 1

I just want to vent but don't know where to begin,
I got a dream like MLK that you'll make 2k10,
If you make 2K10, then 2K wins,
The proof is in the pudding here's the case I present,
A customizable game, you get undeniable fame
Where online you can play in the snow or the rain,
And for the football phenes, that once had football dreams,
You can make your own teams and even stadium scenes,
Give us nice options like Flavor of Love,
Where we can manage a franchise and pricing for grub
With all the above, there's no need for a license
That’s a thing of the past just like Mike Tyson
It's a useless piece of paper that we really don't need,
I'd rather make my own Ray Lewis and Ed Reed,
So please proceed to give us what we need,
Because we itching for a hit, so we feel at ease-----

chorus

verse 2

Excuse my grammar, Don't take it as slander,
But we need your programmers, working in their ba-jam-as
To give us a gift like their nickname is Santa
And make another football game that's crazy bananas,
You know we're the fans of---, the sideline cameras---
Three dimensional crowd that when you score they stand up---
Linebackers ripped like they did time in the slander---,
This game's for grown men not babies in pampers--,
2K's the grizzly bear of games, and EA is the panda
And their commentaries dry just like dandruff--
I thought that was a crime, why aren't they in handcuffs?
We need them out the way so the king can stand up---,
I see their games and laugh, though I'm feeling the grass,
Other than that; John take your game, and shove it straight up your !@#
Give us those classic graphics, that’s sharp like a cactus,
So I can pop a QB like springs in a mattress

chorus

verse 3

I conclude your honor I think our case has been made,
The gameplay's ingenious by 2k---,
Presentations the best thing since pants with pockets,
If they make a generic game then they keep more of the profit,
And make a few additions like tailgating fans,
More company logos around the field and the stands,
Before you dismiss this, My star Witness,
The All-Pro fans willing to give them business,
Here's the logistics, its real simplistic,
Don't turn your back on us like those AIG misfits
Football is America's most popular sport,
If you want to call me out I can provide the support,
Yall took the time out to publish tennis and ping pong,
I'm ready to rampage like Godzilla and King Kong,
We don't want you to fail us like execs at Enron
We just want 2K10 so we can get our sim on.

LAST CHORUS-

We making this song just for 2K sports,
And here's a few dudes willing to show their support,
The whole GRIDIRON league, Amid, and Valdy
twosilk, FunkyRezident, El Greazy and Numbski,
NFLHITMAN, Hibachii, and Brownster
The medicine we need we can get over the counter
At any EB games, or our local Gamestop
But we don't understand why you made the game stop
2k is the epitome, Listen to me Lyrically
Repeat
Repeat
2K is the epitome listen to me Lyrically
Everybody in the forums know that they are feeling me
2K is the epitome
repeat
repeat

Haha, just giving you grief, homie.

It's tough to put yourself & your talents out there like that to be judged by a community, and Ebenizer did a great job.

I have never been much of one for rap (long haired white boy), but total props on the lyrics Eb.

WOW....No way did I intend to get this type of response from the 2K community. But I'm glad that the overall feedback for our 2K10 anthem has been positive. As I told Amid, with the best case being the worst case maybe the "Big Wigs" will bring 2k10's discussion back to the round table:thumbsup: Also, I thought I made the song downloadable on myspace, but I'll check the settings to assure it can be downloaded.

This is great song. I would send it to 2k sports with a printed up version of the lyrics. You never know they might put it on the next game. It could easily make the gametraxx.

My favorite part=

"If you want to call me out I can provide the support,
Yall took the time out to publish tennis and ping pong,
I'm ready to rampage like Godzilla and King Kong,"

2k,2k,2k!!

Gridiron song is good as well.

Um do the two of your A.. worshipers think that your comments make me like the song? It doesn't the only thing that would make the song better to me is a decent beat and a decent rapper/someone who has rapped one time in their life before putting out this extensive piece of manure. Truth hurts? So does this song.

Eb made the song so that 2k might notice how loyal we 2k football fans are because, right now, they don't give two *****s about us.

Man, Eb has skills. Since when has it been wrong to make a song about videogames  A song can be about anything, but the way it's written and delivered is key. Eb not only kills it with his lyrics, he kills with his delivery. Now I'm pretty sure he makes his beats as well and the ones I've heard are on point, Eb is also creative with using his ad libs and puting his son on the gridiron league track. BTW, didn't Rakim make a song about this same video game, COME ON NOW?

Rakim? Is that the person your using to justify this? When is the last time Rakim has been relevant? Is the old fart still alive? For better or worse his type of music has died...so bringing him up is meaningless. As for "EB's" "joint" I was just being honest...I'm not going to hop on and be his groupie like *cough* som...nothing. I mean what's the point of it anyway? 2k doesn't listen to this forum it's the black eye of the whole site....mix that with the fact that most of the big wigs probably hate rap..it doubles the crappy effect of the song.

Off the top of my head I know Lupe raps about games, if you know who that is... is that relevant enough for you?

guava9
January 26th, 2009, 01:46 PM
What could be more relevant than a group of Canadians singing an early 1980s song about Tom Sawyer?

His type of music has died? You gotta be kidding me, you can hear his style in Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep and tons of underground artists. Stick to listening to watered down stuff that everyone and their grandmas knows the lyrics to, and leave the real hip-hop to the people who appreciate it.

Do you not understand what for better or worse means? It means I have no opinion on the state of rap because I stopped listening to it because it's so awful. Yes that type of music has died.....are there more Nas's than Soilderboys in the rap game right now?.....Don't answer that.
