"Williams believes that Michael Haynes, a Hall of Fame cornerback and a current NFL executive in player development, is the best choice to lead the NFLPA. Whoever is chosen, Williams would like for that person to begin with a question: What is it I don’t know here? He wants a curious leader."

Could be that he recently accepted a job with the NFL precluding him from being in the game, thus he had to be removed.

As a side note, the image at the top is rather brutal. It's an eye-opening look at what some of these retired players have to go through. Makes it even more gut-wrenching when paired with the stunts the NFLPA and EA have pulled.

I seriously hope they win their lawsuit against them. Regardless of whether the NFL license is ever available to 2K Sports. These guys deserved to get paid from EA and represented accordingly by the NFLPA. Shame on both the NFLPA and EA.

I thought they said he was removed because they had actually signed the APF contract with the scrub reciever with the same name that played for the NY Giants?

Mike Haynes has been a part of the NFLPA for several years so I don't think that had anything to do with it.

Yeah the picture of that knee is sick, especially considering none of these guys are making any money from retirement/pensions. The NFL is undoubtadly (sp) the highest grossing sport in the country, and possibly the world (behind soccer); it's disgusting to know that those players gave so much purely for the love of the game.

I'm glad he's able to rehab finally, but to be on the brink of losing his leg? Unreal.

Whether he keeps his leg or not, that's some serious scar tissue. The leg will never be the same again. I can't even begin to imagine what Joe Theismann's leg must look like.
