I tried hooking up my Dreamcast VGA to my Vizio, but I didn't get anything. I tried running the 360 VGA component to it, but still nothing. What do I have to do to get that running?
I realized as soon as I hooked up the HD cables that I had left the screen settings at 490i, seeing how crappy the screen looked.
Always kept the videogames down on the monitor.

Dreamcast is not Hd compilent. You need standard componet cabels.

While the Dreamcast may not be, the 360 certainly is. I don't get a signal for the 360 either while running it through the VGA port.

This may seem elementary, but do you have your TV on the input for the VGA? If so, then here are my suggestions.

First, check your screen settings, as the VGA only outputs at certain resolutions. I'm not sure what they are, but I know they are geared to the PC monitor. Also, once the VGA is connected to your TV, turn on your 360 and go to settings. Change the 360 screen settings to match your TV's native resolution.

However, I am hesitant to use the VGA cables because it tends to give you a washed out picture. If you hvae a 360 w/HDMI, then that's the way to go. If not, the 360 will output 1080p over component cables if your TV can receive it like that.
