So I pop the disk in and it brings me to the NBA2k9 install screen, I click install, and it begins to download "Steam"... Steam downloads, has me register, and I open Steam, go to "My Games", under "Installed", I see NBA2k9, I click it, and I've tried running it both regularly, and in "safe- mode", and every time, the screen goes black, but I can still hear some music, while the black screen is on... Seconds later the black screen will just go away.
Wtf, what requirements do I need? I have a 286 MB Intel(R) GMA 3100 graphics card, I believe, is this too little??
If it isn't my card, then wtf?????? I know I don't have a product code to enter, is that my problem?

Refer to Braulio24's post...you need to upgrade your graphics card.

You people need to learn how to READ. What makes you think you can run a game with integrated graphics?

I understand that most graphics cards can not handle 2k9, depending on if they have Shader 3.0. Can anybody tell me it there is any chance my Mobile Intel® 965 Express Chipset Family has this. It does support Transfer and Lighting, which i remember to be a big deal last time I wanted to play a PC game. Is Shader 3.0 an aspect of T&A? I keep reading "integrated graphics" on the forum, but what is this and how do the acceptable cards differ from these ones? I'm afraid i don't have much knowledge when it comes to graphics cards and what distinguishes a good one from a sub par one.

Well in general, most laptops aren't good for gaming. If they are, trust me your wallet will know.

Integrated graphics is when the "graphics card" is built into the motherboard. You don't have a real graphics card, thus everything 3d related is very limited.
You can't play it on your lap top.

intel media graphics sucks. i dreamed of this game for ages, then when i heard that nba2k9 will be release in pc.....dream come true.
my new laptop cant play this game, but my desktop can easily run this game. most laptops dont have 3.0 shader and therefore, they cant run this game, intel media graphics should be scapped.
you should have at least a pci express 7300gt 512mb or higher to run this game. agp's only have 1.0 and 2.0 shader, intel media graphics is an example.
