Realistic Michael Jordan Face [PC]

This is my first try using texmod.
Here are a couple of previews. As soon as it will be ready, i will release it. I'm gonna make some adjustments on the face.

It's a good first try. Here's my notes for you:

1. Mike's nose is really like an inverted triangle. Yours seems too wide at the eyebrows, also too narrow at the nostrils
2. Overall his skull looks too tall
3. Too narrow at the cheeks and jawline
4. Mike's chin is flat
5. Eyebrows are not right.. Mike's are like diagonal lines and they sit high from his eyes
6. Ears need to be bigger and not turned-in at the tops
7. Skintone is a touch too light. Mike is a dark dude.

Keep working on it! Making a digital character look like the real thing is hard work, espescially from internet photos! :)

People have a nostalgia about Jordan especially those that have never seen him play. The fact that he is considered the greatest basketball player sparks peoples interest. This is further extended by the fact that Jordan is not in any video game and people that have seen him play want to recreate those fond memories of when they fell in love with basketball. Im happy to say that i have been fortunate to see Jordan play and i have those great memories on pictures and videos but especially in my heart.

Yes and get rid of that moustache! Did MJ have a stache? Oh where is his hair? It is easier making him with hair then it is without...if you ask me. You can get away with a lot more if you made him when he first came in the league with hair...

You want young MJ right? :)
I'll try that later, cuz it takes a lot of time making the correct headshape. I mean that young MJ will be a little slim and his headshape will be narrow, his face will be slim as well.

You have to start the game via "texmod.exe". If you read the readme carefully, i said that it was needed to start the game via texmod.exe. You shouldn't also close the texmod.exe while you are playing.

click on the folder to specify the program, in this case its nba 2k9.exe

yup it did, it was the face layout of jordan, it just appeared when I try to edit the facial features, hah, I thought that I was seeing a ghost but when I looked at it better it was jordan's face layout, pretty funny though.

dude can you help me out with the mod? when I do the steps in the logging mode, ater that I click run, the D'OH "**** Happened" appears and sends out a virus. how are you doing yours? a quick tuto would do, I wanna try putting my face into the game... lol thanks!

Allright allright.

Once you click on the logging mode and browse nba2k9.exe, click run and nba 2k9 will be loading.
Then you are in teh game.
Now you should see some red sentences on the upper left of the screen. Those are the instructions to use the tool.
The best way to edit a face is going directly to the "edit player" mode which is located in features/my nba/edit player.
Choose 90's East as a team there and then Jordan as a player.
Now you are in the C.A.P mode.
Now to choose different textures around, press + and - on your keyboard. The texture you choose will be indicated by a green color.
Once Jordan's face is green, to extract it, press F8 on your keyboard to extract it.
And that's all.
Now the image file is located in your output folder which you identified before on texmod.exe.

Man. Jordan is in the game, not his portrait. That's the his blank portrait you show. It needs a portrait texture. If it really bothers you, then you should try finding a way to extract that blank portrait via texmod. Good luck.

The reason why i included the roster is because i started to work on the face with nigu's rosters. So there was Jordan created there via create-a-player mode. Then i adjusted some values and extract the texture via texmod. Then i edited the texture and imported it into the game.

So basically, you need to load that roster to get a proper Jordan face.

Amazing Jordan but real poor roster. I suggest to change jump shot to Redick signature shot.
Maybe u can try make missing players faces/portraits?

Yeah, i know some styles don't fit Jordan well in this game. But we have very little signature stlye choices. I wish we could also modify signature styles. Maybe one day, we'll be able to do.
BTW, that roster patch doesn't belong to me. It belongs to Nigu from NBA Live forums.

Are u trying to get his Jordon in the game??? If so you dont pick Logging Mode, you choose Package Mode

I really don't know what your problem is. But first of all this tool doesn't have any trojan or sth like that.

Maybe you should try an uncompressed format to extract images. i.e. choose bmp or png, istead of jpg.

You should also assign a different button to the "log with" module instead of "Enter". Cuz "Enter" is used for general purposes for example applying a command. Function buttons would be good for "Log With" modlue. For example F8.

Another thing i suspect is the "output folder". Maybe that should be located in texmod folder which you extracted.

ok so i gave up on 2k9 to run texmod :( so i said let me try oblivion. so as i went to eject the 2k9 disk all this time their was no disk in the computer...so all this time the game was running from the computer an not the cd!! so i put the oblivion cd and ran it through texmod and worked. now the questoin is how do i run nba 2k9 from the cd and not the computer?

Hello, i just tried to install the jordan mod but i failed... :(
i did it exactly step for step as it is explained in the readme.
But everytime i start the game over the mod it will only start the game without no effect.
I use the Nigu Roster which was included in the package.

Can somebody help me? I would love it to play with mj. :)
