I can not play the game

I opened up Steam program and launch 2k9 from there and then got the message "The game is currently unavailable please try again at another time."

I'm lost! please help me out here. I wanna play this game so bad.

of course original! i got it from Gamestop. I hope that's a legit copy :( and of course I was already aware of the problem that alot of you got the game without a validation code well same here but STEAM says game is 100% ready and installed, however I tried going to the C: and look for the new folder created and I see 2 new folders "SEGA and STEAM" STEAM containing 13.9 MB and SEGA being empty with 0k

what is wrong with this? i thought there was something wrong with this so i unistalled the game and reinstalled but still having the same problem oh gosh I never had this problem before with any of the nba live games :(

Go into the NBA 2K9 folder, and install the Visual C++ files.
