There's been precious little info about 2k9 (as seems the norm for 2K game pre-release)...
But I wanted to know. My single favorite thing from 2k8 was the trading cards. Will that system be in 2k9 as well? I really hope so.

Surely I'm not the only person to be into the trading cards? I really REALLY loved that feature.

i think they should remove it. They need more space for other things like game modes . etc
Trading cards was kind've cool at first but i really ignored it the rest of the way. In the summer i'm looking to play pure baseball and have fun, not collect fake trading cards.

Agreed, although it's a cool feature - I say it gets removed, put some other interesting features in. As said before, another game mode won't hurt.

Cards should definately be included. Not only did it help with replay value, but also made me play with teams that i would usually not touch. If anyone paid attention to the forums when 2k8 came out, the cards was the most exciting thing going. Trading them with others online kept the game fresh way past the games normal shelf life.

I like the trading card concept. Perhaps it should be branded with some of the trading cards companies eg TOPPS etc..

I really liked the Trading Cards and they should stay even in 2K9.
But what I would like to see is some kind of Action House where you can enlist you cards for a specific price or a specific card because the actual way is to complex and it take to much time or the other guy you want to trade with isn't even responding to your trade offer.

The trading card feature could have been great but for some reason 2k decided to cripple it for the people who wanted a better gaming experance and adjusted the sliders. Just one tick of a slider meant the player was pretty much not going to earn "wild cards" which was a big part of the system. If they fix that, im all for keeping the feature. If not, i wont miss it.

id rather play a great game i like w/o trading cards than a game i dont like with them. It really didn't make me play with any new teams really. I ignored it most of the time. If they do keep it, fine. I have no problem. But if they need space for other things, please remove this first.
