I was wondering when MLB 2K9 is going to be released? I was looking around and I have not seen a release day yet...or has the date not be released yet?

As for the release date, I bet it'll come out near the start of spring training, like the baseball titles do every year. 2K8 came out on March 3 of this year, so around the same time next year.

If they put a lot of focus on the World Baseball Classic, it might be released even earlier. The WBC starts March 5th I believe, so maybe we will get our hands on it the last week of February or so. They announced the cover athlete a few weeks earlier this year than last, so maybe they are doing well as far as production goes. Nonetheless, we still have a few months to go.

You do realize that March 1st is a Sunday, right? Most games don't release on a Sunday, with the odd exception of Shaun White's Snowboarding.

Provide a source for that date.

Gamespot hasn't released an "official" release date yet, we all know it will be in March. I'm almost sure it won't be on March 1st, because that's a Sunday. Most likely during that week.

when did it come out last year? seems 2k is usually pretty consistent with their release dates from year to year but IF theyre focusing on the WBC then hopefully it'll be out before that then.....who knows

ill go ahead and say it'll be out March 3, which is a Tuesday. A couple days before the WBC, and a great time to release it. Can't wait to start hearing about the new game.

2K8 came out on March 3rd, which was a Monday. So my guess for 2K9 would be March 2nd or 3rd.

Yea im pretty sure March 3rd.. and one of the MLB games will bring it up a week to get ahead of the competition.. Past 2 years they have both done it.

People are so eager to buy a baseball game, whichever one comes out first, some people will buy. There will still be some people that wait for their game though, and on the 360 i guess i have no choice :(

Plus with the WBC they will most likely have it out before it starts.
