I know it's probably too late to add anything for the 2k9 edition, but I am amazed that more people haven't suggested adding SPRING TRAINING games to the franchise/season mode. What the heck is that about?

One of the greatest things about Major League Baseball is Spring Training -- winter melting into spring, sunshine, brightly colored uniforms, american league teams playing against national league teams, testing out different players, lineups... Ugh! This is clearly the most overlooked item that must be addressed in future 2k baseball games.

Eh, then there'd be more than that to work with. If they worked on Spring Training, they'd have to work on the entire season mode also.

how so? just add an extra month before the season...have stats reset for regular season and roster trim downs...how hard would that be? im with 'bptnj' on this one....why hasn't it been added yet?

yea its a big part of the baseball experience.. i really dont get why they dont have it in the game. First improve graphics, gameplay etc. than adress this. and the rest of franchise mode.

I really don't care either way. I would probably just skip Spring Training and go right to the season because that's what I do when I play The Show.

I never liked Spring Training and I thought that it was in MLB 2K7. I always skipped it and if any of my big stars got injured for a big chunk of time (thank you pointless games) I would just load.

Which, I did the same thing as you. I have nothing against this feature if it was done correctly.

odds are if they add ST that they will let the framerate issue go until the first patch again or something

I wouldn't want a "Spring Training" mode but since the game normally gets released in early March why don't they add a few Florida and a few Arizona spring training stadiums to the game and play in exhibition mode at one of those stadiums. I used to do this with MVP 2005.

Since I live in Florida and have been to 9 spring training stadiums in my lifetime I want to suggest some stadiums for addition.

Steinbrenner Field- Tampa (Yankees, was in 2k8)
Bright House Networks Field- Clearwater (Phillies and best stadium in the whole state)
Tradition Field- Port St. Lucie (Mets)
Roger Dean Stadium- Jupiter (Marlins and Cardinals)
Champion Field- Lake Buena Vista aka Disney World (Braves)
City of Palms Park- Fort Myers (Red Sox)

ahh itd be kind've cool for them to add it, but only after they fix the in-game problems, player pics/stadiums, and franchise mode (not fix it, but update it). Theres probly a couple more things ahead of ST also.
Most of us skipped it in the other games, so why wouldn't we in this game?

Well I skip it in the show. Because they don't have expanded rosters. It's just a 25 man roster. so it really has no point.

I don't remember it being in 2k7 but i could be wrong. If you're worried a star would get hurt either hold them out of ST or turn off injuries. Although turning off getting hurt would not be the real way to go.
