Expect nothing and you will never be disappointed. One of my favorite sayings.

And it applies perfectly for any sports video game. Expect the next game to have minimal upgrades and when it comes out with some cool new stuff you'll love it. But if you expect tons and tons of upgrades, even if they are little, then you will be all ****y when the game comes out and enjoy it less than you should.

That was in 2K8 already. You can switch to the bullpen view (LB, then Y), and you can also see them when a ball is hit towards the pen at a park such as Wrigley Field where the pen is right there along the foul line.

yea... i just hope it isn't another one of 2Ks weird ways of saying cool things. The baseball section seems to be straight forward though.

I really hope its the Team 2K thing. With the way the online of 2K8 was, i really don't expect to be playing online at all until its fixed. I hope its about the ACTUAL game.

I doubt it will be anything specific to gameplay (though one can hope I suppose). Maybe it's a feature. Or maybe it's an announcement of an announcement...lol (like announcing we'll have more info early or some junk). I dunno. I just hope it's as "cool" as the want us to think it is.

All the competition does is talk about the cool new enhancements for next year's Show. Those guys connect to their fanbase, they're on the same level. We 360 owners get stuck with 2KSports, where we get pictures of last year's game. MLB2K9 is deja vu all over again.

What did anyone say that was so disrespectful? I'm not trying to be contentious, just curious. Also, I don't think it's unreasonable for people to say 2K is out of touch IF (and I don't know one way or the other, of course) this is the "cool info coming." Again, IF this is all, it just doesn't fit most people's definition of cool info...or even info, for that matter;).

lol...I think we caught that;) My question is this just loose talk or tossing real ideas around? I mean, no offense, but if it's just loose talk it's no different than what goes on in forums every day anyway...lol. The one difference being one of the talkers is an extremely talented baseball player:)

Anyway, I know it's early for game footage (sorta) but hype is a funny thing sometimes is all I'm sayin'

Bingo. We're not expecting the world on December 1st. We're just looking for something to get excited about. Last year we were excited about YEAR 2 of Brinkman's 3-year plan-- but we got a flawed game. Here we are at year 3--the team is dismantled and the man with the plan is out.

We go around posting news about MLB2K9 like little spiders crawling around the Internet. But there's no way I'm going to my regular forums to post pictures of Tim Lin playing MLB2K8. Bah, I guess I'm expecting too much from you guys. Bitter is the word.

Well, if there's one saving grace for MLB2K9 it's Visual Concepts. But it's funny, that's all we're going on at this point. What VC plans to do with the old engine, God knows. That's what I thought the "cool info" would be about.

The session with Tim Lincecum posted by Ron earlier was the "cool info." There are some pictures and a few lines about possible in-game ideas.

There is more coming this week, but it may not be about features or screenshots or anything. Tim is back in the Bay Area working with 2K getting some work done on the game.

The info will come out soon enough. Game isnt to far away.

Well i hope the cool info is that we actually get a game of a baseball that we can play this time around. I would love it to say "Some new info for now is constant frame rate for once, accurate stadiums for once and we saw how good WSB2k3 was and reamped it for nextgen." i would be sold on that.

That is what I got out of that as well. They would never use a little digital camera for any mo cap stuff as suggested.

wrong. i watched some science channel thing with mlb the show and they did the same thing for david wright. it is just to make the david wright in game more realistic in game.

as long as i dont have to swing while the pitcher has just started his wind up then i will be satisfied with anything this game puts out. Baseball is all about timing and 2K8 just absolutely failed at every aspect of online gaming when it came to that. I am a huge baseball fan but after trying to unsuccessfuly play 3 games online i instantly traded it in and never had any regrets. Last years online play has put a sour taste in my mouth so i will most likely rent this next one before i think about buying it.
