Expansion Mode - MLB 2Kx?

Does anyone remember Expansion mode in the All Star Baseball series?

I think 2K Sports should implement this mode AFTER they get all the gameplay issues sorted out. Once they get them sorted out...here is how I think they should do this expansion mode.

The first step would be to select a city off a huge list of cities throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. Once your city has been selected you should be presented with a great variety of team names and mascots [After playing All Pro Football 2k8, 2K has a GREAT list of team names and mascots].

Then the customization of the uniforms begin. You get to choose team colors, the type of font, number, and whether you want pinstripes on the jerseys or not. The customization would be limitless!

After choosing the team name, mascot, and uniforms, the choice of playing with either the American or National League should be presented. After the choosing of the league, you will choose from a number of created stadiums [again, 2K has shown that they are creative in this department]. (You then would get to do team colors and a mascot for your minor league teams, which would be made of cpu generated players)

Now, here comes the fun part...EXPANSION DRAFT!!!

I have yet to think how this would work out, but here is what I think would be best. The Expansion Draft would consist of Free Agents and the Draft. I think that would make a pretty crappy team, but hey...you can't start right at the top!

So after the draft, you make your lineups and rotation/bullpen. You then take your team through Spring Training, make cuts do some send ups and send downs then get ready for opening day.

This mode should last probably 25-40 years. I think it'd be pretty cool. Anyone have any thoughts or added ideas?

you should be able to import your own logo into the game...like scan it into your computer and then upload somehow. also, half the time theres some really good FA's that havent been signed by the time 2k has their cut off for the game so you could prolly build a pretty decent game pretty quick

game released rosters are generally mid January. But they have a roster update within a week of the release.

big fan of expansion. Maybe you'd have an option of selecting one franchise player from a team. Or like in the NFL im not sure exactly how it works but maybe teams can protect a certain amount of players and you can pick your top 3 or so best players available.
