Come on 2k.... give us some info already havn't we waited long enough. You would think they would want to at least get us excited a little bit after last years abysmal attempt at a baseball game. I suffered thru that for almost the whole season they can at least give us some kind of preview. If it isn't screenshots at least tell us what's new or what to look forward to.

Last year, we were just announcing the cover athlete this time. Just a reminder. It is a little difficult of a strategy to release stuff this time of year, but more power to them.

Their graphics are looking even better this year. The first one I honestly thought it was a real life photo when i first saw it, until i looked closer.

The lighting sure does look nice though, and the crowd looks good. I like the concourse camera shot.

It'll be interesting to see what all new features 2K9 will have. ;)

Wow! That is going to be tough to beat, especially when 2K is already waaayy behind.

I wonder if the boys (and girls) and SCEA (or whatever it's called) get a kick out of this....their one console game beating the crap out of the "main" title across all platforms.

i wonder when we'll get that actual first notch of MLB 2K info though. Its almost the end of the year, so it should be approaching. I'd say early January is what im hoping for.

Hopefully this will encourage 2k sports to create a game even better that MLB 09 The Show. I wish that MLB 2K9 will be just as good if not even better. Hopefully.....

Chino 1 thing you can bet on is 2K9 will be better than 2K8. The 2K Series has a lot of catching-up to do in order for it to best what the guys @ SCEA are doing with The Show.

What's encouraging is VC is now developing this series. What's also encouraging is they may have had about 12 -14 months to develop the game. Many reports state that KUSH Games left the series before 2K7 was finished. Hense why you see the Blue Castle Logo during the beginning of 2k8. It's there because they were the team who finished-up 2k8 & not KUSH Games

Personally I'm very optimistic about 2K9 7 what VC has in store for us. :thumbsup:

Heres what scares me though Joe. VC redid the 2K NHL game this year too, making it a shadow of what NHL 2k was (the best hockey game on the market). I really want to have hope, and frankly i dont have a choice since i have a 360. I just hope they do a better job then they did with hockey.

Personally, I think that this is going to be a down and depressing year for the MLB 2K series. I do NOT have "inside" information, just an educated assessment of the situation. Since a new developer is doing this game with a new producer (common knowledge that Brinkman is gone), the game will probably receive a major overhaul and get back to the basics. We will probably have to wait until next year with MLB 2K10 before we see any major improvements.

I have a 360 so my only option is 2k9. I think its stupid for people to complain that there isn't information or this or that. Good things come to those who wait.....just be patient and im sure we'll get some infor before march 2nd.....everyone whos complaining realizes that its still december right?

Trust me chad, its worth it, I took a load of games that i never played and my old psp and got money out of it and put it towards the system. With the blue-ray player and Mlb the show, i was glad i bought it.

Believe it or not, I had more fun playing MVP on my PSP than I did playing 2K on my 360. I actually traded 2K in last year before May. I got weekly roster updates, every monday, starting in SPRING TRAINING not a month after the release. Unfortunately, I have to buy 2K this year because I'm a huge Giants fan and "The Freak" is on the cover but if it's not too much different, I'll be on my PSP more often.

I'm the first to back 2k up, loved 2k6, 2k7 but like everone else i got burned on 2k8 and guess what i'm gonna get 2k9 this next year, so keep it to your self and if i want a responce i'll ask you for it. seriously. its been nearly 3 years at this board posting, asking for a good game and new additions and all we have been given is good batting stances and a useless card system. i really expect alot from this game, if not, its off to the ps3.
