NBA 2K9 was okay, but it didn't really have any cool new features. something that would be kind of interesting to have is a first person camera option. for example your playing as dwight howard, but your playing as him in first person and the only thing you can see is you hands and the player right in front of you. then you go for the dunk, so we would be able to expierence what its really like playing in the nba.

the dunk contest, 3-point shoot out should be held in the same place as the allstar game, playing in a school yard is just stupid, and the spanish host gets really anoying, just do like on tv.

i want to play with charles barkley and michael jordan

i would like to have another mode other then association......maybe a career mode, like in madden. get drafted....start as a prospect......u no the usual. another thing that would be good is more finance control in the association mode....hmmmm what else...they made dunking and 3s way to easy...i like your first person idea that would go well with my career mode idea

What 2k needs to do is have a halftime interview with the player that has the biggest impact in the game so far. Then at halftime... have real nba analyst who'll give a breakdown of the game they're watching so far. Show some clips of other scores and highlights as well. Player introductions of course. Add technical fouls for arguing with refs. whether it be coaches or players. Flagorant fouls. In arenas like la lakers or ny knicks... show celeberties like jack nicholson, denzel washington, spike lee sitting in their seaon ticket seats!

NBA 2k10 needs to introduce something like the nhl 09 option of coming from the lower ranks to make it to the pros, create a player and have the player pick between college ball, d league, or even euro league and have the created player develope and eventually get drafted into the NBA.

When playing in games if you grab a defensive rebound your defensive rebound skill should go up by 0.0001 or something like that, so you slowly improve in games, through out the season. The training should take on a new look. 2K sports should adopt NBA live's training mode and have the ability to shoot around freely. shooting around freely should improve your stats(much like in game shooting). I love the idea posted by a few other ppl about rising throught the ranks of high school, college, draft. It would be good to be able to write up your own plays and practice them at trainings. add the skills challenge when introducing the dunk comp and three point shootout to the allstar weekend. As well as improved crowds! And get Lebron on the cover. HONESTLY!

First of all, the drafts for assoctiation ,not nba drafts, the colleage drafts at the end of each season should have up to date players, real players from collage second, there should be like a managment mode where u are the whole managment staff for a certain team. third, Micheal Jordan needs to be in the gammmme

1) More accurate commentators. Give stats on the player and how the team has been going throughout the season so far!

2) Dunks more realistic and for each player. I had Memhet Okur doing a windmill in a game! Say for instance.. Duncan's dunks are going to be either a simple one or two handed jam. Nothing like cocking it back and throwing it down hard!

3) Crowd reactions. Like when a team is leading by 20+ points in the last quarter the crowd will start to leave! Or when a player scores 50 points in a game crowd gives him a standing ovation?!

4) Starting lineup introductions for teams. Have the announcer scream nicknames and names for ther started before the game!

5) I keep getting called for goaltending as I jump up for a rebound. Make it that the player cant just rip the ball off the ring and get the call against him. Have him jump up, and if the ball is still in the cylinder have him quickly bring down his arms or something!

All it takes is 5 very simple things.

1. The Up and Under Move - Anybody who has played atleast 25 games knows how to do this and it is all they do. Players like LaMarcus Alridge, Shaq, Mehmet Okur, Zach Randolph, Omeka Okefor all can do this move. When you do the Up and Under, when you go through your defender and shoot a hook from 17 feet and it goes in every time.

2. NBA All Star Weekend - I will not stop saying this because it will improve the overall game play amazing amounts. The NBA Blacktop Mode is whack although it is pretty cool, has no realistic feel to it at all. In the 3 Point Contest you cant knock down a jumper if your like depended on it, and in the Dunk Contest you go throw down through the leg dunks over cars like its a worm under you. Incorporate this into Association and have the "fans" vote in the Starters, and the Players. It would make for a much funner game

3. Cheese - Fix Derrick Rose, JR Smith, Kobe Bryant, Josh Smith, LeBron James, Ryan Gomes, Michael Beasley, and you will be good to go.

4. Crowd - Im enjoying the MVP Chants but there isnt really anything else. For instance when a ref makes a horrible call, nobody boos and nobody gets rattled. When you hit a game Winner, there is no celebration, then just gradually walk off the court and the Fans dont even stand up.

5. The Charge - Fix the glitched charge call, everybody does it and its very fake. You know what Im talking bout.

Honestly, your a creator of a Basketball Videogame you have cleary been to an NBA game to help you design it. NBA 2k10 should have acually people who play the game give some advice for the game. 2k9 was good but 2k10 was a lot better. I hope for example that they put in dynasty mode that you can pick the USA team every four years and play in the olympic like nba live. Allstar weekend would be nice especially if the computer picked better player and that there was an option to edit the picks. An what about the old teams like they had on lakers vs celtics. I would love to play the bulls of the 90's vs the lakers w/ shaq and kobe. And what about the all-lakers team for example. Or create a franchise w/ better teams with create a jersey and use old team logo, jerseys, and mascots. Im talking about relocating, or building a franchise from the ground-up. Choosing your coaches from a deep pool of application of real and creating coaches. Exporting college coaches from colege hoops game(hopefully one day). A deeper draft process would be cool- is it to much to ask for my draft pick to shake the commissioner hand. Better draft prospects, because I dont know about you but every prospect dont have an nba body so cool it with the 230 pound sg and sf and the 270 pound pf and c. I dont know if nba player that wears generic shoes, there should be a catolog of thousands of shoes and maybe my top pick so be able to sign a shoe deal. I tied of free agents signing for to much money when they average 5 ppg., comp. stupid trades, bad coaching prospests, bad looking draft prospects, no allstar weekend, more or all nba greats(teams), and basically not knowing how to put what should be in these games. I think that NBA 2k10 should have the all-star weekend in the association. Also I believe that you guys should bring back the 2k Street where you got to create your own player, and play street games with him and make it into the NBA. The last thing i think would make this game outstanding would be this: While in Create Player mode, you should be able to create not only their head but their body too, for example: you should be able to create bicep size, hand size, foot size, calf size, muscle definition, etc. Those are my ideas, consider these if you want to have a great selling game!

Ok i have several suggestions that will make NBA 2K10 one of the best NBA games produce. Some things that 2K9 lacks that the NBA have is of course NBA All star weekend with all the events. That something I think should be added. Also the players introductions would be nice but i think it should be customizable so we can choose who gets annouced first, what sounds/songs and animations are used in the introductions and what props like the all star intros. Also tweak up the Association because it lacks somethings that a real NBA season would have and that is one area where EA beats 2K the most. A new feature that should be added should be called reaction. I notice that there is no technical fouls in this game. I think it should be like the feature EA added to Madded.. rewind. Like you only get 3 reactions points in the game. So say if you get fouled real hard, a pop up will come up and ask to use reactions, if you choose to react then you can either pick up a technical foul or be ejected out of the game. I would like to see this feature on Play Now mode, but if you can put it on Association that will be good too. But this is all for my suggestions. If I think of anything else i post.

I would preffer a Career Mode like Superstar in madden. Maybe start at in a final four college game and try to win the championship game and try to get drafted to the Pros. You can have workouts like development to get better and inprove your rating. You can obviously cutsomize him and get allowed a certain amout of pints to use for his rating.So thats one of my ideas. Also after you play a game in play now or whatever its called make the replays better and the top 3 plays better have better picture so you can cleary see them .

I think that did a great job on 2K9. But it needs to have more stuff to it. Like to have a real allstar weekend on the association, that has the slam dunk contest, 3 point shootout, and the skills contest. They need to get rid of the black top. They need to have the annoucers that announce the team you like the rocket crew or laker crew and ect... That when you pick your team you will have your crew that announces like in real life. The announcers on the game in the association should talk about who is the best team, hot and cold streaks, defending champs, injuries and how it affected the team or did not, Trades how that player helped out the team or didn't. I want the announcers to talk about the players alot I would like to see if a player gets hurt in the game play they will be yelling in pain and the medical staff will come on the floor. What they also need is to have practice on the days off in your association. I mean you get to practice with them not the computer you. You can to the practice do scrimages, find out your rotations, So you can even set what type of offense you would like to run it could be like a run and gun offense,set offense, pick and roll offense and ect.... You pick the plays you want in your offense and defense play book. So it feels like you are making your own assocaition. Kid want games to be as real as possible. In the hutles we want to hear what the coach is saying to the team. That why you need to get the real coches voices. What I would like is to half time show with TNT crew that would be cool. You should have player introductions. I would like to have a socre board like on TNT. I love the living roster feature it's great but i wish it would update every day with player stats, trades, injurys, ect... Even when it updates it will go on your association but make a button so when people don't want it to it won't. I think you need the AI to be more competitve on the game. One thing I don't like is when your on the association and the Boston celtics are in last when they shouldn't be thats why i want the living roster feature to update on the association. and on the association when you are scouting for new prospects make them like the real life not some fake people. I love 2K9 it is the best NBA game out there. If 2K sports reads this message I hope they will take some of these things in consideration. If they at least half of what i said it will top NBA Live 09 and NBA 09 for sure. Kids and adults just want to come home and sit down and feel like they are at a real NBA game. i really love 2k9 but here are some ideas that could be good for the game.the living rosters thing is amazing. i like the way it works, for 2k10 i think that you could change more than just the trades though.seeing a change in the players appearances would be amazing. the stars in Daniel Gibson's head, or the new Deron Williams beard. Also, in the game modes like assosiation or season it would be great if the rosters would not only be loaded in the main menu but also in the game modes. these are just some ideas.

NBA 2K9 is a great game but i think they should add NBA All-Sat Weekend including the shooting stars and the skills comp. Also, career mode, maybe he was a high school superstar and had to make a decision weither to jump straight into the association or to university. I remeber in 2k8 and 2k7 there was a mode where a created player played pick up games against nba players and in the end he gets a contract why not see that through but then let that player go through a career in the asscociation. And maybe they could make the pregame, halftime and postgame coverage a bit better like if its in association mode he could interview the person thats having a great season before the game or a halftime the player who has had an early impact and show some clips of dunks or a great block and finish it off with the post game show with the play and player of the game and maybe an interview with him and if he broke a record either on the game or on the season or even his career he could talk with the press about that. Just some suggestions.

1) Please... please.... include the Association on the PC. WE PLAY SPORTS GAMES YA KNOW?! And with controllers!
2) Take out the "Im chewing gum like a goat" animation on the coaches
3) Online capability with arcade like achievements (what we have on steam shooter games)
4) Make the momentum algorithm more believable, sometimes it gets out of hand.
5) Don't make Kobe crazy perfect
6) Improve 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's & 90's all stars' model. Larry Bird looks like... well.. a bird.
7) Is it so expensive to add Michael Jordan in the 90's all stars?
8) AI sometimes get stupid, i mean, sometimes Derick Fisher goes behind the backcourt on purpose.
9) As for the previous poster, Ray Allen is slow on the layups
10) Improve the collar on the jerseys, its really jerky.
11) Discounts on people who purchased 2k9 steam for the 2k10.

Overall, I applaud the 2k team for developing the BEST basketball game there is. Im not exaggerating, you guys keep it up! I hope you consider PC gamers too.

It would be cool if you could create a player and have him start his career off as a senior in high school. He then gets offers from different colleges and then decides which one he wants to go to. As your created player plays through his college career he developes skills based on his performance and it also determines how high he gets drafted in the NBA draft. When he gets dratfed show your player walking up onto the stage to meet David Stern and get his hat and jersey.

And here are some things your created player could do during his NBA career:

-Counter a team's salary offer when they try to re-sign you at the end of your contract
-Ask for trades
-Rehab your player if he gets hurt
-Sign endorsement deals like Nike, Gatorade, Timex, etc.
-Buy stuff for his mansion like a trophy room, an arcade, furniture, a bowling alley, etc.
-Start rivalries with players even teammates
-Show your player accepting his awards that he earned for the season
-Get sent down to the developement league if you're not up to par and work your way back up.
-When you retire you can get inducted into the Hall of Fame if you had a great career.

In Association Mode add:
-Pre and Post game interviews with players
-Starting lineup introductions
-If a team isn't doing well during the season the less fans show up to the home games.
-Choose to get technical fouls if you want to by gesturing to the officials on a bad call.
-Show the fans on the scoreboard screen during time out sometimes.
-All-Star Weekend with the Dunk Contest, Three Point Competition, Rookie-Sophmore game, etc.
-Move your team to a different city if you want.
-Create-a-Stadium

-Make the rookies look different that come into the league, I'm tired of seeing three or four players who look the same on the same team, QUIT BEING LAZY 2K!!!!! Can you create some kind of generator that can create random looks for the players.

I love the 2k series and it's the only basketball game I've played since the Dreamcast. I hope you guys keep up the good work.

in 2k10 there should be a half time show with the actual commentators... kevin harlan, clark kellogg, & cheyrl miller should be in it still... in season/acossiation modes the fans should have actual attendance numbers, if the team is doing bad less fans come, good has more fans, if the team sells out alot in real life that team should sellout in the game... have ejections in the game when a player/coach argues with a ref... make the stadiums look like they actually do in real life... make every fan look different not 8 different looking fans in the whole stadium... have the fans wear different things(jerseys, hats)... fix the court looks, they are blurry... make the scoreboard look different, it is dum, i saw a preview for another 09 nba game it was tnt's scoreboard, if you can... have better music, make it music thats popular right now...

i think that they should have a superstar mode. like what they do with madden and ncaa football. the option of starting from ncaa basketball and merging or starting a new one with nba. Here are a few more for me:
1. I would NOT like to see introductions/interviews. The space on the disk is limited and don't waste it. Use it for more AI functionality or player images.
2. Opposing teams jerseys in the crowd. Especially in places like LA where you have the Clippers and Lakers playing in the same building.
3. Technical Fouls
4. Have a draft to play a season. In NHL 2K7 there is a feature to draft your own team based on the current season. So you draft the best players you can and play the season. That was a cool feature.
5. Have a player stat comparison on the trade windows. e.g. When you see the two players pictures during a proposed trade, you should be able to see their current stats and their ability stats side by side.
6. Once you decide you want to deny a trade, make that offer disappear from your trade window so you only see what you are still considering.
7. Don't make us have to figure out how to perform moves. Too many folks on these boards don't want to share how to do certain moves. They learn them and keep it to themselves. Don't do this to those willing to spend $60 on your product. Either provide a good instruction book with the game or clearly post the move possibilities on your website for us all to learn and enjoy.
8. Massive boos for what the crowd views as a bad call.
9. Add the referees to the AI. Have different refs. Each ref has a tendency to make certain calls or tendency to provide breaks. Some call fouls less and let them play, others call way to many. Make the player of the game adjust to each referee's way of calling a game.
10. After adding the technical foul to the game, have the NBA limit of 16 per season. Each one afterward costs a player a one game suspension.
11. Flagrant fouls is a must. Many have talked about that and I agree it is needed.
12. Have the league office review flagrant fouls for possible warranted suspensions.
13. I know you want people to buy your new games, but please support the update of rosters for older games. Don't penalize your customer base if they feel the new game does have enough improvements to warrant an upgrade to the next season's product. Either that or offer a $20 dollar or so discount to repeat customers.
14. People on this site talk about "Cheesers" I still am not sure what that means. Guys like Labron and Kobe are much superior to others in the league and their game play should support that. Don't succumb to those who can't beat them. Leave their game play alone.
15. The ultimate "Cheese" is the ability to over ride a trade. If people want the game more realistic, don't override a trade. No GM would give a player away. Take the option out of the game so that we have to play by realistic environments.
16. I don't know if I am missing something, but I would like to have an ability to purposely sit a player down for the remainder of a game. If you know a player is injured and want to help in his recovery, I'd like to sit him down. If I am ahead by 20 points, sit him down for the rest of the game to prevent his further injuring himself. Also this would allow me to rest him if he has been working hard during that season.

For what it's worth, I like the game. But it is upsetting that I have played one full season and am halfway through my first season in association mode and am still learning how to make moves. I can't stress enough that you provide directions which would make the experience of playing your game more enjoyable.

Maybe have TNT's pregame show with the people who are on it (sense two out of three of your announcers are on TNT)... And a draft at the begining of a season is dum. NBA 2k10 needs to introduce something like the nhl 09 option of coming from the lower ranks to make it to the pros, create a player and have the player pick between college ball, d league, or even euro league and have the created player develope and eventually get drafted into the NBA.

*have the ability to come from the d-league, euro league, or ncaa college bball
*be able to play in the real nba all star weekend in association mode
*have better dunks and moves
*have interviews, better half time shows, other game scores and an "end of the week" wrap up report
*have the ability to put players in the d-league
*have 10-day contracts

Overall I LOVE the 2K series and will never buy any other basketball game series as long as they keep making them

Just like the draft teams and the Allstar teams... what will really put 2k10 over the edge is if you guys at 2k decided to add all the old teams as well just like an extra game mode because it would be annoying to have to try and select the right year everytime you go through the teams or you could use a secondary button when you have your team selected. 2k Did alot of things well for myself, but a few things of note should be, Fix the fast break. I can run it pretty good, but defensive players especially slower ones recover too quick,it needs to be wide open. More animations lay-ups and dunks in traffic on the break. Too many blocks as well. should be addressed. Not everytime you go to the hole a big blocks the shot. Little guys Like Paul and wade can get to the hole and Layup around traffic, Iverson as well. Some shot blocker's I understand but even they can't stop every shot, this should be done online and with out adjusting sliders. Finally. Have your playbook updated. I seen these plays since 2006. Add alot more plays and be able to edit your playbook by position. A team can change their half court style on the fly, If the living rosters reflect a trade of a key player to anther team, then His old plays should be allowed to be switched.

The 2k Creation Zone!

Create-a-Player - An improved and more advanced feature. This part of the game is definitely stale. They need to adopt a CAP like the Tiger Woods Series. The fact that we cant change weight, and edit specific body parts like arms and calves, its pretty dang annoying. Also, the facial hair on the players looks like crap. Better gear like face protectors, different handbands and be able to position the handband at different angles. Better tattoos I know its a long shot but be able to create tattoos Like full arm, half arm, neck (all sides), Hands

Create-a-Play - This would really kick the NBA 2k series into full swing. Be able to create plays on both sides of the ball. Design screen, cuts, ball control plays, 3pt plays, post plays, mis-match plays etc. On the Defense side be able to make zone, double teams, traps.

Create-a-Jersey - This would be an alternative to putting in a large amount of retro jerseys. You are able to design the jersey, and shorts. If we get really lucky, maybe a warm-up. You would have a choice out of all nba team logos, as well as some generic logos and all sponsor logos in the game, such as Nike, Jordan, Gatorade, Reebok, and the NBA logo.

Create-an-Arena - This of course would be an alternative to retro arenas. You are able to design every facet of the court, such as Rims, Backboard, Lines, Mid-court logos, The Paint, and Baseline. You are also given the option to choose any current NBA Teams Arena and make changes from that. You can change the color of the seats, bench, sponsors, and type of Jumbo-tron.

Create-a-Team - This area of the game, is also very stale. The logos and pre-set names are horrible. Give us more options, that we can change ourselves.

Create-a-Shot (For Created Players)- This is probably a long-shot, but still a great idea. This would break down into Jump-shot, and Free-throw.

Create-a-Coach - This shouldve been in the game a long time ago. A lot of the best head coaches resign after the first season, so give us some more options other than generic guys.

Custom Arena Music - This is beginning to be a must, for sports video-games. Would be broken down like this

In Game Features

1. Give us a choice between scoreboards (bottom right, top, bottom of screen)

2. Announcers should recognize winning and losing streaks. Also maybe incorporate unofficial stats, such as The only player to average 30 points, 8 assists, and 4 rebounds since...[whoever] Also maybe refer to Champs as the defending World Champs during the season. Give us more intuitive stats. If Kobes gone off for 50 the last 3 games in the Garden then i wanna hear about it. Also about the team macthups and player matchups. Best in the nba talks. Awards races talks like the battle between Kobe, Lebron and Wade for MVP stuff like that. Finally, why doesnt 2k add in some new commentary make em crack a joke at the players or one another and stop the repetiveness.

3. 2k also needs to take advantage of the Legends in the game. Show little cutscenes of past games. If the Finals are in Boston. Just show flashbacks of memorable plays like TNT does.

4. Emotions
Certain players have unique personalities, Rondo and Tony Parker fall down 50 times a game so that should be the case in the game. Sheed should argue with refs, and Kobe should argue with refs. Please give us technicals,Players ejected out the game. Some sort of control over celebrations. Id like the players to act even more human than they already are. Why not add in an animation where they go and try and plead their case to the referee if they dont agree with a call. Also add in a factor which causes the players to occasionally go into a fit and attempt to fight such as when they get hit by too many fouls intentional or otherwise. Plus, make the bench more enthusiastic they stand up when someone makes a monstrous dunk but what about when theyre team is down why not make it so that somebody on the sidelines tries to rally the crowd and if someone performs a buzzer beater to win the game make the entire bench jump and dog pile the guy or lift him in the air. And after the games over pull a player to the side for commentary. Another thing why not put the players and coaches actual voices in the game and make so that when you call a timeout that the coach tries to motivate his team either by insults or encourging chatter and make sure we can hear it. Why not include trashtalking, like someone blowing on their hand when theyre on a shooting streak or slapping a butt of a teammate after a critical play and for godsakes make KG pound his chest, to ignite the team or crowds this can play into the psychology of the players causing an increase in their shot probability or decrease depending on a player.

5. Give me total control of my playbook. who i want doing what. Different roles for both sides of the ball. the nba has its roles it would be cool instead of just role players you assign their role on the team

Association Mode Ideas

Re-location Opportunities - Your team could re-locate to a number of different cities, such as

Seattle
St. Louis, Missouri
Las Vegas, Nevada
San Diego, California
Nashville, Tennessee ....... However, your team would have to meet certain criteria to be eligible to change cities.

You would have to 7 consecutive losing seasons
Under 60% of average attendance
Failure to beat Division Rivals ...

2. NBDL or Equivalent - Even just an imaginary league that you can send your players to, to keep up their skills.
3. Draft-Day Trades - I thought this would be in this year, self-explanatory

4. 10-Day Contracts - I thought this wouldve made the game before the Bird-Rights did.

5. Off-Season Cuts - Give us the ability to have more than 15 players at training camp, and then have the Asst. Coach recommend who to cut

6. Team Progression - If your team meets certain criteria, you are given certain opportunities 7 consecutive 50-win seasons Increased Average Attendance to 125% 10 consecutive playoff-appearances ... ...
If you meet this criteria, then you are given the following opportunities
Signature Fans, Owner, GM, or Celebrities. There would be a mention of their attendance before the game. (Think Lakers and Jack Nicholson) New package of Arena Sounds New Jerseys Updated Arena

Create A Player is an important feature for many people, whether its creating those who didnt make the final cut, or reliving years past by putting together old school rosters from the 80s and 90s. 2Ks system has improved overall from year to year, but there are still glaring issues and room for improvement with each new installment.

2K9 brought us the most realistic looking created players to date. They actually looked like they belonged on the court, without sticking out like a sore thumb. It didnt come without a price though, as certain options were limited and everyone came out looking closely related.So lets get down to some specifics.

Body Types
For years now weve been given 3 choices - Thin, Normal, Thick. And for years now, Thin has been too small, Normal has been too big, and I dont think Thick has been realistically used... ever. At the very least, we are in desperate need for extra body types in between those 3. While the best solution would be switching it over to a slider based system, where with a few flicks left or right, the user can get it exactly the way they want.

Skin Color
Much like body types, the skin color option could use some more variety. 2K8 used sliders, while 2K9 switched to 6 presets. One things for sure, I dont want to go back to the days of the glowing red faces in 2K8. So I would gladly accept just expanding the presets to 12.

Facial Textures
A big reason CAPs have looked relatively the same in 2K9 is that there is only 1 texture, and all we do is move around the features. Take a page out of Top Spins book by creating several different skin/facial textures to choose from.

Hair
We've become accustomed to the same hair options every year, and its time to add some new styles. Noticeably absent for those of us who create legend rosters, are fades of the high and low top variety. More in between color options are needed here as well, because in some situations brown is too dark and blond is too light. But the biggest addition I would like to see to the hair and facial hair options is transparency (0%-100%). Anything short enough to be painted on, like buzz cuts and natural waves, should be accompanied by a transparency slider to either strengthen or fade the hair. And that brings us to...

Facial Hair
Transparency sliders would help in creating stubble, and light beards instead of being stuck with the strong thick options of 2K9. This is one area 2K8 had right, you could give the player a lightly shaded beard PLUS the regular beard and mustache options. I would like to see that brought back for 2K10. Facial Hair should also have its own color option, independent from the hair color.

Eyebrows
Eyebrows were seriously overlooked in 2K9, and thats putting it lightly. A total of ZERO options for eyebrow customization, which left anyone with darker skin looking eyebrow-less. Take another page from Top Spin and add numerous different, unique eyebrow styles. This should also have its own color option, as well as a transparency slider.

Accessories
FOUR words, HOME AND AWAY AND SECONDARY AND RETRO. Let us give a player a completely different set of accessories for home than away if we want. Give us the same color options for headbands that we get for armbands. Throw in some goggles, protective masks, compression shorts, and finger tape. Bring back the option to have the old school shorter shorts to compliment 2Ks line of Legends. 1 for today, 1 for the 90s, 1 for the 80s, and 1 for the 70s (this would also effect the jerseys bagginess.)

Tattoos
Tattoos have gone rather unchanged over the years, much like the hair options. The addition of some fresh designs and a full sleeve tattoo would be nice. Yet another section that would benefit from a transparency slider.

Sliders

2K8 had the most frustrating sliders ever, when you moved one, a dozen others moved with it. This was thankfully remedied in 2K9, but I would still like to see the sliders numbered. So if your critiquing someones CAP, you could simply suggest moving the brow height to 59, or the chin width down to 25.

Seems like a simple thing to implement, and would help save some time. So there you have it, a couple improvements that could help 2K10 have the deepest Create A Player seen in a basketball game.

nba 2k9 is a real fun game but definitely has its downsides. One of the first things i noticed when i first played it was that the AI teams were able to score so easily even if i had my defenders hands pretty much on their face? just one thing that really annoyed me/still kind of does. Putting that aside this game has some serious potential for some sweet ideas to enhance its overall playability.

the MAIN thing to improve any game:
creation!!!!
any game that has had some sort of creation component to it or upgrade system has had its life span significantly improved
one game which would enforce this idea is NFL STREET 2 (playstation 2)
they took a simple idea of playing gridiron on the street and added the perfect mix of ugrades/creation choices taking it to a whole new level
i played nfl street 2 so long ago for a very long time in which im pretty sure i never got bored of it purely because of the fact that i could constantly upgrade my player/team and create them how i wanted them to look down to every little detail (inc the ****ty sunglasses haha)
i understand that this game probably didnt appeal to everyone but for me and my mates it was the ****!

If 2k10 (probably a good idea to think of a different title too) incorporated an awesome upgrade/creation component the sky would be the limit for its franchise
this part of a game needs to be very looked into though, it cant just be jabbed at with little time and concentration
a good creation aspect would have to involve every little detail accompanied by some serious depth and choice
maybe a style of creation like the creat-a-figther in fight night round 3 (xbox 360) that one was choice
then an extra game mode should be throw in like create your own team/player and have them/him go through college and all that

If you add these things I'm going to list your game would be the best. Some of these things are ideas from other people from this thread and some of them are my ideas.

Let's start off with the Creation mode, everyone likes creating their own players. But it would be cool if you can create different types of things.

Create A Player: I know they already have this but it should be improved in 2K10, in my 2K8 game it was really annoying adjusting a certain part and then another part gets adjusted, that gets really annoying. And it would be really nice if you can do something more advanced like instead of having thin or thick, buff or ripped, you should be able to have a slider for certain body parts like your shoulders, biceps and forearms, you get the deal.

Create A Play: This is a pretty cool idea I thought of, you can start off in a gym and you can pick any team you want, you can tell a certain player where to move, set picks, screens, ect. And after you’re done you save it, call it whatever you want put it on team you want, and you’re done.

Create A Team: They already have this but when you make your own team you should make your own jerseys and create your own coach, and create your own logo for the team. And after that you should be able to create your own stadium, like change the colours of the ground and change the seat colours, etc.

Create A Dunk: I don't know if many of you remember, there was a game called NBA Shootout 2004, you were able to make your own dunk, and during a game you would hold L2 and R2 (PS2) when you press the button to dunk. This would be a fun creation.

NBA All Star Weekend.

YES C.T. I was JUST thinking that. We got the Rookies vs. Sophmores (which this year K.D. had a stellar performance.) and the all- star game itself. But we need to add the whole skills challenge. The 3pt shootout that's on the game is like, street competitions. They need to have it in a All- Star Weekend environment. Even with the dunk contests as well. Yes, we have those already in the game but make it in a way so it's apart of the All Star Weekend experience. Also, it'll be cool if we had international teams in the game. I know, Live has that. I don't know if that'll conflict contracts with 2K but if international teams were added to it, that'll be sick. After all, USA did take home the gold and ****ed on all the other countries. And last of all, the apparel. For me, i'm a Lakers fan. So with those 4 jerseys that's already in the game, let put more options. For example, the black retro Lakers' jersey. For the other teams, for example, instead of having codes for the St. Patty's day jerseys, lets make it available from the get go. No codes necessary. And shoes, if it's possible, having all 23 of MJ's shoes would be sick. Like the Jordan 13's or 14's, which in my opinion, are the best J's out of all 23.

Become Hall Of Fame: Some sport games have this, you choose your created player and you play for him for plenty of seasons. You can make like a story mode for this, you start off with playing for a high school team with random players, and you work your way up to the NBA and try to make your self in the Hall of Fame. You can add little clips of you getting into a team holding up your jerseys getting pictures, you know what I mean, make some story into it.

The Association: There are some stuff you can add on to this, one thing that everyone wants is the All-Star weekend, not just the West vs. East, the dunk competition, and everything else. And you should be able to play with your created team as well, after you've created your stadium/arena.

The other modes are fine, I don't really have any ideas for the rest of the modes.

I could go forever about this. Im a nit pick kinda guy so..

1st) At the beginning of the game show the players come out on the court when the away team comes out first lets hear the crowd boo them. Have the commentators. ( which should be the ESPN one's. Marc Jackson, Marv Albert etc. Have them breaking down the game. The keys too win for each team. Who to watch out for etc. And then how bout some player introductions like i said before have the away team getting boo'd have players returning to play against there old team getting some cheer. And have the home team have the whole shindig the crowd going crazy, the lights off, the nick names, the chest/shoulder bumps that the players give each other. And after the intro's have the teams huddle up like they do and if a team does a little side to side sway. have them do it. make this game like your at the arena watching it.

2nd) During the game. Have the team benches stand up until there team scores just like they do. Have the bench players wearing there warm-ups until they get on the court. More realistic drives, More realistic fouls. Lets see some hard fouls mayb some flagrant fouls. Lets have the players argue if they dont get the call. or if they dont like the call. Lets see the coach in the refs ear. Make the refs more realistic. How bout some technical fouls ? and ejections. Make this game a NBA fanatics fantasy every little detail lets see it. At halftime interviews with the players who are dominating or the coaches. Have a real half time show. With highlights from other games during Associating Mode. And how bout we make the crowd realistic i think its stupid seeing the same guy in the crowd everywhere walking up and down the stairs. Lets see some Die Hard fans. Standing up yelling at the ref. or A standing ovation when a player comes off at the end of a game when his teams up big. Lets hear boo'ing after a bad call. And Players and The Crowd celebrating after a game winning shot. The whole bench should rush the court. After the game interviews and highlights.

3rd) I want the career mode. similar to madden, NHL , mlb the show, nba 09. 2K needs one. create the player. practice with him to improve his game. Play D-league and get brought to the NBA.

4th) During Associating mode. Like in college hoops 2k have the friday night sportscenter like show. breaking down the league, the standings, showing highlights. maybe a top 10 from that week of play. that would be awesome.

5th) All Star Weekend. EVERY event from all star weekend. Not just the 3-point and Slam dunk. all of them. skills challenge. shooting stars. team ball. all of them.

10th Anniversary this game needs the be the BEST one yet. and with all these it should forsure be the best.

were they talk about the game and others around the league.
have east and west insider reports done. also race to the
mvp reports, rookie rankings, playoff report close to the
end of the season.

Another point I have been thinking about. During my first season in association mode, I made the mistake(never again) of over riding a trade and had too many starters on my team and now my two favorites are at zero moral. It does not matter if I play them for the whole game for multiple games, they will not come up and I have to now consider trading them to lift the overall chemestry of the team. I want to be able to communicate with the players agent to see what can be done if anything to salvage the relationship and get their moral back on track.

I think it should be way more shoes, more than just 5 or 6 nikes, jordans, addidas, etc. Also it should be more brands, like al harringtons new proteges, reeboks, converse. They may not be the best shoes but it gives the game more of a realistic feeling instead of players wearing generic shoes.And you should also be able to get more detailed on the shoes, like being able to change the color of the shoe strings, sole, the base, etc.

There should also be an nba d league were u can sign any player from the league to your team or send one of your player to the dleague for development.

And i think there should have the nba summer league and only certain players play. (mainly the rookies and sophmores). The star players of the team dont usually play.

And have team pratctices were you have 5 on 5 scrimmages, drills, practicing plays, etc.(have the practice jerseys too).And put that in association mode too. make players be able to throw the ball of someones back when the're inbounding the ball. When someone gets crossed, have the crowd get hype.

Yess, I agree. Clutch factor needs to be removed, sometimes I go on droughts where you just simply CANNOT SCORE, layups and all. Better commentation, no repetitive stuff. Shouldn't be able to dunk on everybody. More post moves, when you're running on a break, your player shouldn't run like someone is right on his shoulder.

I think they def improved a lot from last year when it comes to realism. But to make it even more realistic..

1. Have players in warm ups on the bench

Player introductions? might not be necessary but def would be cool to have.. with custom music.. i mean theres only what 30 teams in the NBA thats just 30 short clips of music cause throu out the season they stick with the same entrance music for the most part. Then maybe have some superstars have custom entrance animations..

4. Flagrant/ Tech fouls.. that goes hand in hand with an aggression button and teams getting frustrated and committing hard fouls, and argue/ taunting

5. dive for balls? in the crowd and everything

6. Coach ejections.. maybe have a button pop up that you can argue a call if its in the clutch kinda like what they did with mlb 2k7? where the manager can get ejected or amp up his team.. cause it also happens in the NBA coaches get ejected and so do players.

There's way to many unrealistic things that happen in 2k9, to many "sucking" animations, just not enough freedom when controller your player. I think 2k10 needs, to fix fast breaks, to often you try to run a fast break and defenders who should not catch up, does just that. Yao closing in on a streaking Monte Ellis to block his lay-up Yea right. 2nd Plays need to be updated, with more plays, and not just the point guard running them. Have the streakers not stop short of the basket because a pass, If the entry pass gets intercepted fine, but the roller should not stop until you either stop his progress with denying or He reaches the basket.
3. BLOCKS NEED TO BE LOWERED. Not EVERY BIG MAN BLOCKS SHOTS, and Stop people from driving the lane. SO Chris Paul, AI, or Deron Williams can't get a layup in traffic, Yeah Right. If blocks were adjusted more people would play- on ball defense than just relaying on their big man. PLus Punish Teams that Run full Court Defense ALL GAME.

2k admins NBA2K9 has been missing out on alot of things that made NBA2K8 and NBA2K7 great games. I mean come on the Team 2K thing is pretty good but you got rid of ranked lobbies, which was fun and much more interactive to the commuity of 2K players. It would have been great if you at least brought back the lobbies after the 10 weeks of Team 2K but you didnt so its no worth of people keep on trying to make their way up the Team 2K leadeboards. It pretty much makes no sense. Also its kind of boring since their isnt no more Team 2K to tell the truth. The game was hot when Team 2K was in effect but now theirs no point. NBA2K9 is a sick game gameplay and graphic wise but its a little to easy, making it cheese friendly!! Points in paint is a huge disater, spinning is out of control, and players get pretty tired too fast. When i play offline it takes a little while for my players to get tired, but when i play online players bars are on at least two in the first 2 minutes. Since im on the Ps3 what ever happen to the ranking system we had back on NBA2K7 TO NBA2K8?? Thats what also has me like wtf?? because now any one can be #1 on the leaderboard which takes no skills. All it takes is over 1000 games and your the man. But just to keep things short i have a list of the things that NBA2K10 should have without a doubt.

1)PS3's original ranking system.(NBA2K7,NBA2K8)
2)If your going to have a Team 2k, after the 10 weeks are up bring back ranked lobbies with message board!!
3)Points in paint shouldn't be so easy, because in NBA2K7 and NBA2K8 it wasnt that much of a factor.
4)The spin move shoudn't be so effective!!
5)There are alot of R2 and RT stutter step jammers it shouldnt be that effective either!!
6)Bigs like D12, YAO, STOUDAMIRE, GARNETT, TIM DUNCAN, BYNUM, and JOSH SMITH shouldn't be dunking all over zones and etc.(2-3, 1-3-1, and if the paint is literaly clogged)
7)In NBA2K8 players weren't able to run and mash the steal button so why in NBA2K9...???
8)What ever happen to the player cards/stats online/2K ratings???
9)If where going to have lobbies next year add a little spice to the lobby choices, add a couple pictures to each lobby that it will represent. Dont make it plain like NBA2K7 and NBA2K8. EX(nba live06-nba live09)
10)If leagues are able to be on the community site why not leaderboards?? Makes the 2K community look more popular and not so plain. EX(easports.com)
11)Be on time with Living Rosters make it as active as nba live DNA. Players are suppose to be updated right after the nights they play not 3-6 days later!!

people asking for more effective zones are asking for trouble unless you also ask for the counter. since i'm a real defender i change to the man to guard the ball. if i run zone i change the man closest to the bal. I aint scared to play defense. i want 2k, to make so that the cpu defenders awareness go to zero when the ball is next to them. no more hiding behind cpu players. MAN UP. play defense. i want to play a human thats why i play online. otherwise i could play associating mode offline if i want to play my offense vs cpu defenders. does everyone understand that? or is everyone just to afraid?

dont make any one dribble move super effective. no more spin move where its effective everytime. no more inside out dribble where it works every single time.

force guys to use their bench even in 5 minute games. make the players fatigue faster. and the more they fatigue, and the longer they stay in timeouts should not put them back up to max. when you get real tired and you keep running even a little timeout will not bring you back to the way you were during the pre game warmups.


speed up the post moves.

if a player is playing man to man defense. and he slides the wrong way while i cross over the other. make the guy lose his balance slightly. or for really good defenders with really good lateral movement. make them have to stop then push off that other foot to cut back the right direction. this is how real bball is played. make the crossovers quicker. turn up the injuries when people collide with each other. just make different levels of injuries. where more times then not someone will get a slight ankles sprain, finger sprain, etc. knee bruise when they keep going into the paint and trying to go THRU people.

make crazy reachers foul out games. its simple. make people who run full court press all game tire out very quickly. in addition to allow their defenders to really pressure you. but if you get a step on them the ref blows the whiste cause its a foul. you can't bump or ride guys along the perimeter nowadays. its an auto foul basically.

stop making my guy stop to catch the ball no matter what pass i throw.

make the lead pass realistic. make it drop in front of the guy so that a defender can bump into the ball tip it. steal it, intercept it. make jump passes alot less accurate especially when defenders are on you.

when people double team dont allow the player to wiggle out of it in slo mo then make shots. if a guy is doubled, let him try to dribble his way out. dont go into a bogus animation. if the other guys get the ball for a jump ball so be it. if they just tip it loose fine.

after i block a shot use real physics. make the ball bounce around. dont make me knock it almost perfectly back into the offensive guys hands so he can score on me with ease. make it so that the longer i hold the RT button to block shots. the harder i will hit the ball and the farther it will travel. also make it the harder i may hack a player. possibly causing flagrant 1's or flagrant 2's+ ejections.

stop making the intentional foul turn into a bogus animation where the guy with the ball slows up then gets grabbed. let all players run freely even during animations.

fix the speed and quickness of these guys. if kobe crosses over lebron at the 3pt line. bron as quick as he is. he aint catching up after being worked over by a 1 on 1 move, and blocking your shot. or even contesting it well. its not going to happen. if he is on the weak side of the play thats different.

if an offense player keeps raming into a defense player call a charge. if a defense player keeps bumping into an offense player call a foul. let the fouls effect players. the more you foul certain guys the meaner they become. and the wilder they play(stephen jackson). or the more focuse they become(kobe). **** guys off to the point where they might get a tech for arguing with the refs. make it so you can choose to argue or not. it wont change that call but it may change a call down the line. if you over argue. a tech may be assessed. depending on your demeanor.

We can go on about this til e3. "Maybe" see a trailer that would make digital nymphos cream and still be disappointed in October. First step find ALL the glitches before the game hits shelves. By now the guys and gals at 2ksports should know what they need to improve on. I'm waiting on them to open the "gap" a little wider, but make a solid, well rounded game worth the 60 dollar tag. I still don't understand how some of the greatest innovative things 2k brought to us in its previous games got taken out. Especially since these "next gen" systems are supposed to have "more power". I just feel if the crowd can move around then there really could be some nice touches to add to the realism of the game. For instance shoot-around warm up suits (only for shoot-around & bench players) <its in the game. bring back 24/7 with a true career mode. Make the all star weekend better. When just playing a Slam Dunk Contest or a 3-Point Shootout make a way to change the setting instead of having something already set. Have it in arenas instead of Rucker Park. Im not from New York so I don't care about playing there. In Association mode have the ENTIRE all star weekend available to play (Rookie vs. Sophomores, 3-Point Shootout, Slam Dunk Contest). This will make the game much more realistic.

And I found that you can edit your prospects after the first year and give them actual faces because its soooooo time consuming to create a real looking face, not mentioning much that no matter how much you change it up the created face still looks like the default. Make the same faces that come up after your first association season (the prospects) be the ones you could randomly choose from and you should be able to just customize from there, like hair, eyes etc. And please give more body models then just skinny normal and thick. I swear the skinny(cause Im a slim guy) looks like I am a ballin skeleton. there should be about 3 to four different models for every classification. Another thought, The arenas of the " Home team" as they say when you have created, should have that Maddenesque arena customation(sorry again, for the info of the readers I love 2k basketball and football). Just give about 4 or five different looks would be great.

Specific positions- you should be able to assign positions. end of game situations

Blocks- Have lebron be able to track players down on fastbreaks and beat there stuff off the backboard

Better defenses- put the box and 1 to work. they have box and 1 on 2k9 but it is useless. have it to where you can pick who you dont want to get the ball and faceguard them.this will make it to where there are less 1 man shows

custom plays- the default plays on 2k9 are to hard to run. you should be able to customize your own plays as a 2k game menu

records- show the players records before game like every other sports game has. show gamer profile statistics

have it where there are auto traps when you run a fullcourt trap or halfcourt.

fix; lag issues in team mode. i probly spend around 6 hours a day playing team mode cuzz its so fun. the chance to see multiple users playing against eachother, getting views on how other people play, witnessing there skills...its very addicting, but i gotta say the lag makes me wanna quit sometimes, its horrible trying o connect to a game. it might take u up 5-10 minutes to try to gett a game to connect becuzz the servers r so cheap,and when u do finally get that nice pure connection u have to worry bout cheaters that use looseball fouls. hey it is realistic but cheesers found out how to use it vcheaply. they do it right when someones about to score so the play stops b4 they can score. it needs to be workd on i know that.
Team mode grade averages; the grade system is seriously screwed up. they dont reward u for shootin mids/jumpers/3s...but when u take it in hard/dunk/layins, u get points added to yur grade. assists,steals,blocks are awarded heavily...so in contrast ur gonna have alot of throwing it in the

paint for the easy assist/ layin/dunk. its basically a cheeser friendly type system. to many times do i see people workin hard to get a nice jumper off and u get no grade boost for ur sim styled jumper. u should see some of the guys with a's and b's. 90% of the time all they do is throw it in the paint for an easy assist. they do this till they have a high grade and then start playing normal. its so gey.

and to the people who say 2k needs to improve defence i think ur a little wrong. defence is fine the way it is. in team up mode most games i average around2-7 blocks, 3-6 steals.....and this is for 5 MIN QUARTERS! the only thing i think needs to be revamped is the rebounding system. tired of tipping the ball when its right in front of my face while the pg gets it. its like 2k determines who should get the ball depending on who deserves it more..
also bring back all modes of street or at least 3 on 3 and 1 on1 half court sounds cool.

Well technically that's a server issue and reflects bad on the company not the game itself, and supposedly they are getting better servers.

And I don't know which system you own or what internet you have but I get disconnected probably once every 25 or more games. And I play the entire game, I play online, leagues, associations, offline against my friends. I don't buy games solely to play them online. Especially sports games, I care about stats as much as wins. So I like to chase MVP awards, allstar games, double doubles, etc. A win without stats can get boring. But to each it's own

As I stated before ALL of your gameplay issues have to do with Online play only, and most of the things you mentioned you'll be better at stopping with more games. The servers are messed up now because they are changing servers right now. I dont understand why 2k doesn't just shut it down for like 12 hours and fix it, instead of fixing while letting people play, since they'll just get disconnected.


As far as finance and saying my point isn't "valid" let me put you on to game.

2k's football game was $19.99 so it was over half of the price of Madden. Hypothetically speaking if Madden sold 1 million copies and 2K sold 1.5 Million copies of their NFL game, Madden would still have more revenue.

2k outshines EA in basketball(though you don' seem to think so) but EA has Madden, NFL Head Coach, NCAA Football 09, Fight Night Round 4,College Basketball, Facebreak, AND that's without mentioning the other non sports game. Plus EA has been around longer and was selling games while 2k was still an underground company.

So this isn't a question of the better company but even 2k knows money-wise that EA is ahead right now. I don't think 2k cares, because 2k for the most part is a great company with a loyal fanbase.

1. PLAYER INTRODUCTIONS, and routines.. custom to every team.. lebrons powder thing, maybe even the picture thing they do(a stretch)

AUTHENTIC STADIUM MUSIC AND SOUNDS, Use the same music they use in real life, for the introductions its just a small clip that usually stays constant for the entire season so shouldn't be hard to do. I'm from NY so from a Knicks point of view, before tip off or right after tip off they play a female voice saying "letss get it startedd" maybe add small things like that to make it more realistic. Also when Nate Robinson makes a nice move and scores they play "shake and bake" a clip from Taladega Nights. Not the announcer saying it cause I know they already have the announcer saying custom things like for Vince Carter and Carmelo ect. But i'm talking sound effects not announcers.

3. WARM UPS ON THE BENCH, players on the bench should be in their warmups, its always bugged me, it would make it look so much more realistic.

4. FLAGRANT/ TECHNICAL FOULS(EJECTIONS), these NEED to be in the game, its only right that 2k10 will evolve and include these important aspects of the game. You should be able to get more aggressive in important situations, argue calls, have coaches and players be able to get rejected. These things happen, rarely but they do happen and therefore should be included in the most REALISTIC basketball game ever.

5. REALISTIC CROWDS, every game for every team in the NBA is not always a packed house, low market teams playing low market teams should have lower attendance, less amount of people and noise than lets say a Lakers Vs Cavs game(2009 NBA Finals) also if a home team is losing by a lot or winning by a lot (30+) the crowd should get smaller. If the game is close the crowd should naturally get louder the further you are in the progress of the game. Also for playoffs the home crowd should have more of an effect on the game, like a majority of them wearing white..

6. DIFFERENT NETWORK COVERAGE, 2k should acquire the license for ABC or TNT, so they would have a real network TNT and then the 2k network, each with separate commentators and different half time analysis. Big games like Celtics Vs Lakers or something would be played on TNT and smaller games like Bobcats vs Bucks would be on the 2k Network.

2K needs to implement new roster attributes and tendencies technology like EA did with 365DNA and Synergy - so that we can finally have the players and teams actually play like there real life counter parts. We should not have to adjust sliders and tendnecies for a entire year to get the game to play right, the 2Kliving rosters/2Kinsider isn't the answer. Related to that 2K needs to improve the A.I. to make the game play smarter on offense and defense. Footplanting needs to be added. For 2K10 new technology needs to implemented into this series instead of covering up the games flaws with new animations every year. Court spacing on offense needs to be improved in 2K10. CPU teams need to be more dynamic when playing against the CPU and less predectible. The dunks and scoring in the paint needs alot of improvement to make it more SIM, they have to implement new gameplay where players are rewarded for having strategy to get open shots and ball movement, instead of just forcing thereselves in the paint for dunks and lay-ups.

As far as presentation the only thing they need to add is a halftime show simular to NFL2K5 where they show key plays of the first half, also they could even show gameplay highlights of other games going on around the league. Ofcourse all of the obvious online issues have to be addressed. The devs have alot of work to improve in NBA2K10, I just hope they are taking notes on things we mention since they never come to the forums and get community feedback with us and discuss issues that need to be fixed.

Improve the overal immersion of the basketball experience. Like weekly highlights, player of the week & games of the week like in College Hoops 2K7. Also, I notice that after an update, Mo Willams shoes were changed from Adidas to Nike. If these types of changes can be made for one person thru an update they should do that for all players who have generic shoes in game, but wear Nike's, Adida's and Jordan's in real life. 1. Technical/Flagrant Fouls.
Techs and flagrant fouls are vital parts of the game. If D Wade gets T'd up and has to leave the game, his team is then at a disadvantage. There doesn't have to be a fist fight option, but pushing and refs coming in to police the situation is definitely within means of a G rated game.

Flagrant fouls are another thing. I want to be able to lay the guy out and send him to the FT line. It's part of the game, just like when a pitcher beans the hitter in baseball. The business has taken the best parts of the game out of commission--intimidation, testosterone, the threat of violence and bodily harm. Basketball is a contact sport.

2. Realistic fan support.
If my team is on a 28 game win streak, I want my fans to get crazier with each game. Then, when we're losing, I want them to turn on us. When the playoffs come around, it'd be cool to see every seat filled with towels twirling in the air, fan signs, just an electric atmosphere. As of now, the fans are the same in every arena. The decibal levels stay the same no matter what point in the game it is, if we're on a big run, if we make a great play. Boring. If the home team is losing in the 4th, the stands are still filled to capacity. The seats are filled in Charlotte and everyone knows nobody supports that team. Basically, amp up the noise in the seats, give the fans some life and some well-deserved attention.

3. PG Domination
The PG is still the most dominant player in the game. How is it that every PG in the game can average double-digit assists when I play them? Rodney Stuckey will never dish out 23 assists in a game. There's got to be some way to fix this.

4. CPU Substitutions
Kobe can play 48 minutes a night, but when I control him, he gets winded by the 3rd quarter. So how come whoever I play can have their starting 5 on the floor for 98% of the game and they're still keeping up with my fresh subs? This is especially true during the All-Star game. The starters play the entire game!

5. Player Morale
I went through a season where Mo Williams had a season-ending knee injury 5 games in and I watched his morale go from 100% to 0% by the end of the season and he was complaining about not getting PT. WTF? Then, the next season, he's healed from his injury but his morale is still at rock bottom and he refuses to play for the Cavs, so they trade him. But, they trade him to Chicago, where Derrick Rose is the starter. Now he's on the bench, getting 20 minutes per game and his morale stays at 75%. I thought that was bizarre. It'd be interesting if the Cavs drafted a PG and he said he was upset about that, but that wasn't the case.

6. Celebrations
If I make a last-second shot, I want my players to rush the court and mob the guy who made the shot. Everybody loves seeing this. When you're a player, you live for those moments. The Finals celebration was better this year, but instead of all that trophy stuff, it'd be more live if the players mobbed each other, the cameramen rushed the court, fans, confetti coming from the rafters, just complete and utter CHAOS. Quick camera cuts from this part of the court to that. As it is now, the players that are on the court are celebrating individually. It's silly, really. We want to see the losing team crying and all that. Basically, when we win, we really want to feel like we've won something, that the team that we controlled for an entire season is actually a team and we had something to do with their success.

7. Better player chatter.
The grunts that the players make on a dunk suck bad. They don't even sound human. Use a soundbite of Larry Johnson or Blue Edwards. Those were yells.

8. Option to retire a player's jersey
Yeah, it says Magic's 32 is retired, but I can still create a player and use that number. If it's retired, it should be GONE! And, when Kobe retires, his number is going to be retired. Going through the association and just seeing his name on that list of other retirees at the end of the season, next to guys like Raja Bell, Flip Murray, Brad Miller, Reggie Evans, in a word: anti-climactic. We should be able to retire his jersey, have some kind of lasting effect on the franchise.

Bring back the Lakers '87 throwback uniform. Those other retros suck. And give us the option of having a player choose to wear the short shorts. Think about it: A player has a mullet, he wears goggles, short shorts and high white socks. Imagine dominating the league with this dude?

There aren't enough shoes to choose from. What happened?

10. Legends/Team Jordan/Euro All Stars
Forget them. Put in the '96 Bulls team or the '91 Golden St. Warriors. If you must, keep it Championship teams. Honestly, who ever uses the 50's legends anyway? Or the Euro All-Stars? The All-Stars period? Waste of space. Make Championship teams of the past. That alone would make this game last forever.

If you're not willing to part with this, please put Cedric Ceballos and Nick Van Exel on the 90s team. Tom Chambers? Jeff Hornacek? Dan Majerle? What about Kenny Anderson? He was a starter on the '94 squad. Jamal Mashburn? Shawn Kemp? At least add Ceballos's name to the in-audio database. I know Van Exel is, so kudos for that.

11. Create Player
You know everyone that gets the game is going to make Jordan. Just make the default face and features basically a copy of Jordan. It'd make it a lot easier for us. Give us a randomize option, too. Who has the time to sit there and create an entire person?

12. Arenas
They all tend to look the same. They have the same layout, the press tables all come out to exactly the same point, there are exactly the same number of cameramen behind the goal. In reality, no two arenas are alike. They bring the lights down at Staples. MSG has a certain look to it. It looks cold in Arco. It'd be cool to see those differences in the game.

13. Street
I'm sorry. This is just no fun at all. I'd rather have the complete All-Star weekend than this. It seems that this feature is taking a lot of the diskspace also, but that takes away from all the little details that mean so much to the NBA game. There's NBA and there's Streetball. They rarely, if ever, go hand in hand. If people like this street feature so much, why not dedicate an entire platform for it? That way, you could add all the features you want and it could be way more street than it is. Quite frankly, it ain't street at all. It ain't even rec league. It ain't even YMCA. It's garbage. Chuck it. It's NBA 2k10. Make it strictly a game about the NBA.

14. Defense
Everyone loves a great blocked shot that gets sent into the stands. Remember that block Tayshaun had on Reggie in the playoffs? It doesn't happen in 2K. Bring that mess.

15. Shooting Slumps
It'd be cool to implement some kind of hot and cold feature. Even Kobe gets in a slump for a game or two.

The game as it stands now is already the best basketball game ever. I love it. But what's the point of the association if every year is exactly the same, side for a few rookies who come in every year. We don't care about them because we don't know them and they rarely have any lasting impact anyway. Bring some change here and there. The look of the game is everything. Making arenas differ from one another, fan support being better or worse depending on whose home floor you're visiting, a blocked shot that is so demoralizing that the guy who gets blocked is just not the same for the rest of the game, a flagrant foul that results in a season-ending knee injury, a technical foul for hanging on the rim, a player going into the trainer's room after an injury, then coming back through the tunnel to a standing ovation a la Paul Pierce in the '08 Finals, the fans waving towels during the playoffs, getting louder in the waning seconds if the opposing team is at the free throw line, announcers getting so excited that they say the weirdest things on air, that's the stuff that makes the game so great.

I will give you credit for improving the bench animations. I love that they stand up and jump around after a good play. They look funny at times. I don't see Kobe ever running in place like a dork like I see in the game. But I'm glad that something's there. But just some images for you to ponder: The night Kobe dunked on Ben Wallace during that preseason game on UNLV's floor in '97, the bench all huddled up, Elden Campbell slapped the towel on the floor, they just lost it. And, during the '94 Finals, when Hakeem faked Ewing out with the spin move and a dunk, the bench went bananas. Mario Elie slapped the floor with his towel, everyone was whooping and hollering. That's more realistic than running in place like a dweeb.

It needs better gameplay and stop tying to be like NBA Live! NBA 2k8 was perfect with a need of a few minor tweaks not the complete overhaul you did. Did you hire guys from NBA Live to help you at 2k?

MAKE 2K10 JUST LIKE 2K8! You did a marvelous job with 2k8 in comparison to this crap of 2K9. 2K8 makes you play defense and it had its quirks but not like this one.

Online play is horrible for 2K9. I do not even play it. I play 2K8 still. You took away camera angles, signature shots and moves from players, you made them too small, to arcade-like, and too robotic.

Certain guys you completely messed up Why is David West, Carlos Boozer and LaMarcus Aldridge scrubs in these games when they are perhpas the best young PF's in the league.

You took away the jump shot and 3pt shooting. and the realism 2K8 gives you. 2K9 slides up and down the floor and is like playing an arcade game. It is easy to dunk and there is no defense. 2K8 you could actually jump.

As for these features I for one do not like the real time stats. That is bullcrap. You should play on your own merit and skills not by how hot or cold a guy is in real life. This game is not real life stop trying to make it so and copy NBA Live!

2K8 was also simpler to navigate. I have no idea what moves a player will make in 2k9 although with the iso button that is understandable but the ball sims off the rim and you miss too many layups. I for one do not play franchise or season with the CPU.

That is a waste of time for me. I play online...and you need to tighten that up. Make season and the other modes like franchise how they play and how they are in real time and leave the online play just the way it was in 2K8 or why play online!?

Completely erase this year's game...you should not even have put a game out this year it was so bad. You should have just give us a patch for 2K8 and allowed us to update the rosters...I am one to think that games do not have to be "improved" or screwed with every year...You should only do it when your fans request it.

There was nothing really wrong with 2K8 when you compare it to the changes of 2K9. I mean it is really the same players. I mean how much can you do with basketball? I have more insights but will wait to see what others say.

Oh and disable the ability to stop the game and watch replays...

Yess, I agree. Clutch factor needs to be removed, sometimes I go on droughts where you just simply CANNOT SCORE, layups and all. Better commentation, no repetitive stuff. Shouldn't be able to dunk on everybody. More post moves, when you're running on a break, your player shouldn't run like someone is right on his shoulder.

I think they def improved a lot from last year when it comes to realism. But to make it even more realistic..

1. Have players in warm ups on the bench

2. Have signature stadium music and sound effects.. for example when Nate Robinson does a crazy move and scores you should hear "Shake and bake!" like they do at MSG.. I know its a stretch but hey

Player introductions? might not be necessary but def would be cool to have.. with custom music.. i mean theres only what 30 teams in the NBA thats just 30 short clips of music cause throu out the season they stick with the same entrance music for the most part. Then maybe have some superstars have custom entrance animations..

4. Flagrant/ Tech fouls.. that goes hand in hand with an aggression button and teams getting frustrated and committing hard fouls, and argue/ taunting

5. dive for balls? in the crowd and everything

6. Coach ejections.. maybe have a button pop up that you can argue a call if its in the clutch kinda like what they did with mlb 2k7? where the manager can get ejected or amp up his team.. cause it also happens in the NBA coaches get ejected and so do players.

7. Different network coverage for different level games.. maybe have a generic network like 2k sports network and them acquire a license from ABC or TnT or something for more important games or games with big market teams.. like lakers vs celtics or cavs would be on Tnt with the tnt announcers and games like Raptors and Bobcats would be on the generic network

8. Better playoffs.. instead of just making the fans a little louder maybe make a majority of them wearing white.. or a teams color like they do sometimes in real life. and a WAYYY better championship animation

They jump high, and they can come out of nowhere to block your shot and dunks and they can strip you good. The thing that I love about NBA 2K8 that 2K9 does not have is the realism of the shot and the true to life signature shots of players they do not have in 2k9. They throw too many airballs and all you have to do is get to the rim and either you are good at making layups or not.

Your suggestions of real Jock Jams and music and sound animation is a good one...I would love to hear the organ playing in New York and the guy in Miami as well.

they have sound effects in the game. maybe not for every team, but just off the top, i know the pacers have a racecar sound after a big shot; chris paul has the ric flair "woooo" thing; and the pistons crowd yells "sheeeed" whenever he touches the ball. plus there's also the steam whistle sound after a big offensive play, and "deeeetroit basketball" after a big defensive one.




that's in the game. if u play lock-on D and dont jump on their shot, the guy will usually put a hand upZeke11 now what they should do to improve defense is make it easier to come back down and up again on a block and a rebound.

Sometimes when you jump it is so slow. So are the passes by the way which the should fix. I tap the pass button real quick and many times they lob the damn ball and it gets stolen and eflected especially when you are playing a long *** team like the Cavs.

But increased jump recovery timing on shots would improve defense. Make it so if you tap the green jump button or analog stick just so....you go up and come down and up quicker to contest a shot better.

And then in addition to that make the shot button quicker so the release on some shots are not so slow like Chris Paul's and Chauncey Billups. Steven Nash gets his shot off the quickest and they do not let you even touch him in this game...

But make it so the pass button works quicker and synchronize it all so that a a greater percentage is made or not made based on who is the guy shooting and contesting...

To me game play is the number 1 issue on this game. When game play isn't at it's best the other components don't matter to me. There's way to many unrealistic things that happen in 2k9, to many "sucking" animations, just not enough freedom when controller your player. Lots of other problems as well, I hope they take the Madden 10 approach and speak to the fans and fix the game correctly and not the easy and fast way.You sum it up the best....right here. Bingo! The gameplay is horrible. I love 2K8 for that reason. You should have left it alone...from one year to the next.

I think 2k10 needs, to fix fast breaks, to often you try to run a fast break and defenders who should not catch up, does just that. Yao closing in on a streaking Monte Ellis to block his lay-up Yea right. 2nd Plays need to be updated, with more plays, and not just the point guard running them. Have the streakers not stop short of the basket because a pass, If the entry pass gets intercepted fine, but the roller should not stop until you either stop his progress with denying or He reaches the basket.
3. BLOCKS NEED TO BE LOWERED. Not EVERY BIG MAN BLOCKS SHOTS, and Stop people from driving the lane. SO Chris Paul, AI, or Deron Williams can't get a layup in traffic, Yeah Right. If blocks were adjusted more people would play- on ball defense than just relaying on their big man. PLus Punish Teams that Run full Court Defense ALL GAME.
No people use Houston and the Cavs and CAMP IN THE LANE....that is what is wrong. They bunch up a bunch of tall players and dont guard a man but an area.

One thing on my mind right now would be to let players miss more shots. Too many times heavily contest shots go in the basket in NBA 2K9. Even open shots go into too often. It would be nice to get some have developers interaction from 2K like EA sports does with there fans. Atleast EA is stepping up this year with there games and giving early info about what's going to be implemented in there games this year. For some reason the 2Kdevs don't want to own up and communicate with us about there mistakes and corrections that need to be made to the game. Once again they probably will wait till the last minute to release info, and wether the game is great or not, there basically saying here is the new game - deal with it. If they interacted with us more during the development cycles, they could ask for are feedback and thoughts on what they are trying to add, or fix in the game, and that way they can nip gameplay issues in the butt early and let us know that our voice is being heard. I really hope 2K10 is a improvement to the core gameplay, CPU A.I. and teams and players tendencies. But im skeptical, it seem like NBA Live 09 took a step forward, and NBA 2K9 took a step backwards. It will still take Live a few steps to catch up to NBA2K, but alot can happen in one year.... remember the jump NFL2K4 to NFL2K5 = greatness. The need the fast break back and most of ya'll know what I mean...New dunk animations for each player, smarter passing, New courts following a teams next season, jumpin into the defender if they fall for the pump fake, swat block like it used to be on 2K1, make the first 5-10 rows of ppl real when swating a block, after grabbing a rebound u can throw elbows, a new rating system...I hate to say this, but almost like Live, have a rating for everything like behind the back dribble, between the leg dribble, and dribbling while sprinting...only cuz I believe certain players have amazing ball handles, ex...CP3, new commentating, playoffs feels like the Playoffs, Superstar or Legend mode where u only control one player and have it set to where u can control everyone else as well, Madden can't nail their Superstar mode, who the hell can see the whole field like that on a video game, Kill the Dunk Contest, NBA Patches for the All-Star game and Finals, create rivals so u can earn the right to play on Christmas, have a rival-week, add better stats layout, if possible say things that happened in your previous year like you led the league in scoring, missed .... amount of games, all the real NBA records and teams records...already in effect, and many more stuff to come

I haven't read through this thread fully, but here are a few of my minor requests for next year's game:

1. At the end of the game and the away team is up by 20+ points with about 2-3 minutes left, you should see fans beginning to leave and head for the exits, as well as have the overall crowd quiet down and not go bezerk when a player on their team hits a 3.

2. Get rid of the whistling in the crowd sound. It's very irritating and does not sound real at all. I want to hear more "YEAHHH" 's rather than "WEEEEOOOWEOWEO" (whistling).

3. Repolish the player models. Make sure they look as real as possible, as well as fix some of the faces that do not resemble their real life counterparts.

4. Redo the commentary entirely. It sounds way too rehearsed. What I would recommend is to have Kevin and Clark (assuming they come back) just improvise commentary while watching people play NBA 2k10. That way the reactions sound more natural and their comments don't sound rehearsed. 2k could worry about plugging in the correct names after. A perfect example of natural commentary would be Steve Kerr in Live 09.

5. Jump Balls. They should occur more during rebound battles. Also, when grabbing for the ball during double teams, it shouldn't be in slow motion and take 7 seconds for the ref to call jump ball.

6. Maybe have a short article written for each headline in Association mode.

7. Let us sign free agents! I swear no matter how much cap room I have I find it nearly impossible to sign anyone who requests an amount over the MLE.

8. Bring back the Interest trade bar for trades. That way I know if the other team is interested or not before I submit the trade offer.

9. I would enjoy a player intro with dramatic music, lights, all that jazz.

They really need to add interior defense next year...there should be way more collisions happening in the paint. Part of what makes a good interior defender is their ability to alter an opposing players shot thus lowering the percentage, but in 2K9 interior defense seems to be limited to just blocking shots. Also, I think they need to change lock-on D back to the way it was in 2K8...the new shading system seems like a step backwards to me. I liked it better how you were able to shade the ball handler last year. More people would play on-ball defense if it actually worked correctly. Finally, fix the online so that there isn't so much lag during head-to-head matches, and so team-up matches don't disconnect whenever you manage to get a full 5 on 5. If Resistance 2 can get 60 players online with no lag there is no excuse for a basketball game not to be able to. There are other small issues that I would like to see corrected, but these are the ones that stand out the most to me.

They really need to add interior defense next year...there should be way more collisions happening in the paint. Part of what makes a good interior defender is their ability to alter an opposing players shot thus lowering the percentage, but in 2K9 interior defense seems to be limited to just blocking shots. Also, I think they need to change lock-on D back to the way it was in 2K8...the new shading system seems like a step backwards to me. I liked it better how you were able to shade the ball handler last year. More people would play on-ball defense if it actually worked correctly. Finally, fix the online so that there isn't so much lag during head-to-head matches, and so team-up matches don't disconnect whenever you manage to get a full 5 on 5. If Resistance 2 can get 60 players online with no lag there is no excuse for a basketball game not to be able to. There are other small issues that I would like to see corrected, but these are the ones that stand out the most to me.

Agreed interior defense has to be improved, it is very poor in NBA2K9, maybe more def awarness in the paint or better collision detection. Also the gameplay A.I. - out of all the difficulty leves the Pro level plays the most realistic, when moving up to superstar or hall of fame the games baskeball intelligence doesn't become smarter or better, it just starts to cheat or do unrealistic things, the superstars don't try to take over the game or teams don't even try to exacute better or run plays for go to players, the CPU just does anything to try to win. The adaptive A.I. feature has to be improved for 2K10. Also please devs address the court spacing - when a ball handler is on the wing, in the paint, wherever, his teammates should not be standing around and in his way, they should move out the way or spreadout unless there trying to set a pick. Often times your teammates will get in the way while your trying to drive or post up. Same goes for when the CPU has the ball, its teammates will do the same thing, court spacing A.I. has to be fixed.

Related to that issue is player and teams offensive and defensive tendencies, I said it once and I'll say it again, as much as I love 2K, NBALive09 killed 2K in this department with the Live365DNA. The players and teams on NBALive play just as they do in real life, the teams run there offense and defense simular to real life teams and most of all the players tendencies are more realistic. Where as in 2K we constantly have to adjust sliders and players tendencies and coaches profiles to get the game to play right. 2Kdevs you have to implement new gameplay/tendencies technology in NBA2K10 like EA did for NBALive09. You can't keep not addressing gameplay issues and covering them up with a bunch of new animations for the game each year. Also please address online issues, this was a big blunder with 2K9, im sure you guys should have by now enough ideas on what needs to be done to fix online play from all of our complaints. Devs address these issues and NBA2K10 will still remain King for Bball SIM game, if not NBALive will be knocking on the door.

2k9 tried to do it with some players but it didn't get close to what happens in the real arenas..

Create-a-Player - An improved and more advanced feature. This part of the game is definitely stale. They need to adopt a CAP like the Tiger Woods Series. The fact that we cant change weight, and edit specific body parts like arms and calves, its pretty dang annoying. Also, the facial hair on the players looks like crap. Better gear like face protectors, different handbands and be able to position the handband at different angles. Better tattoos I know its a long shot but be able to create tattoos Like full arm, half arm, neck (all sides), Hands


Create-a-Play - This would really kick the NBA 2k series into full swing. Be able to create plays on both sides of the ball. Design screen, cuts, ball control plays, 3pt plays, post plays, mis-match plays etc. On the Defense side be able to make zone, double teams, traps.

Hair
We've become accustomed to the same hair options every year, and its time to add some new styles. Noticeably absent for those of us who create legend rosters, are fades of the high and low top variety. More in between color options are needed here as well, because in some situations brown is too dark and blond is too light. But the biggest addition I would like to see to the hair and facial hair options is transparency (0%-100%). Anything short enough to be painted on, like buzz cuts and natural waves, should be accompanied by a transparency slider to either strengthen or fade the hair. And that brings us to...

Facial Hair
Transparency sliders would help in creating stubble, and light beards instead of being stuck with the strong thick options of 2K9. This is one area 2K8 had right, you could give the player a lightly shaded beard PLUS the regular beard and mustache options. I would like to see that brought back for 2K10. Facial Hair should also have its own color option, independent from the hair color.

Eyebrows
Eyebrows were seriously overlooked in 2K9, and thats putting it lightly. A total of ZERO options for eyebrow customization, which left anyone with darker skin looking eyebrow-less. Take another page from Top Spin and add numerous different, unique eyebrow styles. This should also have its own color option, as well as a transparency slider.

Accessories
FOUR words, HOME AND AWAY AND SECONDARY AND RETRO. Let us give a player a completely different set of accessories for home than away if we want. Give us the same color options for headbands that we get for armbands. Throw in some goggles, protective masks, compression shorts, and finger tape. Bring back the option to have the old school shorter shorts to compliment 2Ks line of Legends. 1 for today, 1 for the 90s, 1 for the 80s, and 1 for the 70s (this would also effect the jerseys bagginess.)

Tattoos
Tattoos have gone rather unchanged over the years, much like the hair options. The addition of some fresh designs and a full sleeve tattoo would be nice. Yet another section that would benefit from a transparency slider.


Create-a-Jersey - This would be an alternative to putting in a large amount of retro jerseys. You are able to design the jersey, and shorts. If we get really lucky, maybe a warm-up. You would have a choice out of all nba team logos, as well as some generic logos and all sponsor logos in the game, such as Nike, Jordan, Gatorade, Reebok, and the NBA logo.
Create-an-Arena - This of course would be an alternative to retro arenas. You are able to design every facet of the court, such as Rims, Backboard, Lines, Mid-court logos, The Paint, and Baseline. You are also given the option to choose any current NBA Teams Arena and make changes from that. You can change the color of the seats, bench, sponsors, and type of Jumbo-tron.

Create-a-Team - This area of the game, is also very stale. The logos and pre-set names are horrible. Give us more options, that we can change ourselves.
Create-a-Shot (For Created Players)- This is probably a long-shot, but still a great idea. This would break down into Jump-shot, and Free-throw
Custom Arena Music - This is beginning to be a must, for sports video-games. Would be broken down like this

1. Create a player needs access to all the isomotions and elite dunks and more face options. The developers have these options, surely can't be that hard.
2. Online. Just go back to 2k8 or some variant of it.

5. Defensive rotation for player with high defensive awareness. Eg. Shawn Marion will automatically rotate, but J R Smith wont.

8. All Star weekend. Something simple. Just have a Rookie/Sophomore game, All Star Game, 3 Pointer and Dunk Comp. That's all you need. Maybe have it so you can nominate players to the Dunk Comp to make it easier. 3pt can be top FG% with a minimum FGM.
9. NBA Blacktop more courts to choose from.
10. Progression meter for Association. So you actually see when the player/how close he is to ranking up certain stats. Eg: Have a great game, then you can go into that player and actually see what kinda progress you made/how close you are to making some.
11. Have the shot meter available in perhaps a practise game. It's one thing to get used to it in tutorial, another to how it looks in a game.

They NEED to fix the stat overlays. When I heard stat overlays before 2K9 came out, I damn near **** my pants lol.

But the stat overlays are wack. When you are at the FT line it shows either your points, rebounds assists/steals for THAT current game only. How about showing Stats for the year average. Like 22 ppg 10 rpg 4 ast. AVERAGES.

Or it will show the person's FT% for that game and their career. Who cares about that? It should be, current game FT%, SEASON FT%and career.

Point is show us what we're doing on the season with the stat overlays and not just the current game.

They could even show the ranking. So if you're 3rd in rebounds, show that. For example, 22ppg(6th) 10 rpg(3rd) 4 ast

NBA 2K9 was okay, but it didn't really have any cool new features. something that would be kind of interesting to have is a first person camera option. for example your playing as dwight howard, but your playing as him in first person and the only thing you can see is you hands and the player right in front of you. then you go for the dunk, so we would be able to expierence what its really like playing in the nba.

I think NBA 2K10 should have the D-League in it. With all the players in the D-League. When you play the assosiation mode, you should be able to call players up from the D-League, and send players down to the D-League. You should also be able to customize the players more. (For example) Allen Iverson had corn rows, but at the all star break he changed his hair to a mini afro. I think you should add new commentators like "Kenny Smith, Eric Snow, etc..." you should also make each game on a specific channel according to the day, Monday-NBA TV, Tuesday-NBA TV, Wednesday- ESPN, Thursday- TNT, Friday- ESPN, Saturday- NBA TV, Sunday- ABC. You should also add a new feature called career mode. In this career mode you should make, design a player, put info of new play, put genetics to find how the new player is going to be, and add features like signing a agent, playing college games, getting haircuts, acting in movies and ads, making his own shoes, and personal life. You should also add coach mode like in Madden Coach. This can be based on being a coach. From training to get promoted or fired. You can add coach mode in career mode when the play is retried. You guys should also add technical fouls talking to the refs or players fouling, getting suspended, players getting in a fight, and you should add a actual halftime show, again according to what channel the game is airing on, with interviews with players coaches, and listening to locker room talk, time out talks, player's talk. Some things that could make the game better is when a player is injured make them have a suite on just like in the nba.Make lebron throw the powder in the air and also when he takes pics with the team.all-star weekend all the events also you should have more things that you can put on a player when you edit them. also make it where you can give player hair cuts in the season like rasheed nener gets a hair cut and allways looks crazy but if you want to clean him up you can.and make it so the AI is not so stupid cause in 2k9 all you have to do is make them pass it to the sg and just wait for them to pass it to the pg and you allways can get a steal.and make it where you can make playes fall not when you try to take a charge and they do a little be more cross over moves if you catch a player off the jab and he leans you should be able to hit him with a move to make him fall and the only thing that oyu might be able to use that live has is their cold and hot streaks through the season and keep track when players get triple doubles
