Online Lobbies......will there be lobbies?

Lag.....will this ridiculous, unplayable lag from last years version be fixed?

Will the swing stick be the default method or will classic swinging be allowed in online play?

Exactly......the ONLY thing that has been made public knowledge is the cover athlete. That's it. The focus right now seems to be Front Office Manager.

Besides, i don't think they intentionally make online playing near impossible. So whether or not that will even be an issue won't be found out untiil release day, which isn't known either, but based on the last couple of years, could be in early March. That is only speculation and is NOT to be viewed as an announcement from 2K.

yeah i know....pretty soon they'll be releasing info during the world series, then at the all-star break and then the day after release (as in releasing 2012 info the day after 2011 comes out.)

I kind of wish MLB would make a rule about that. Oh well. MLB '09: The Show looks to be a solid game again this year and they know it. Perhaps with the early info. release they are giving people a chance to get a PS3 so they can buy the game.

yea thats one of the bad things for them releasing information. Another would be it makes all the 2K Customers eager for info also, and they show it on these forums. If the Show didn't give that until January/Febuary each year, than the people wouldn't start wanting info until than. Its the lack of the little things in baseball.

It'll come eventually, and I'd just like to see a lot of improvement on gameplay, and the little things like Stadium updates. Player pics is a MUST imo this year. All i play is franchise mode, and when you have guys like Abreu in a Phils cap, and rookie of the year Geovany Soto w/o a picture, and plenty more, it annoys me.

With MLB Front Office Manager coming out, I think they will upload all the new player pics from that game, and put them in 2K. At least, that'd be the smart thing to do. I can tell you thats one of my biggest complaints on 2K is that.

All I play is franchise mode as well. It irritates the crap out of me that in 2005, there were so many things that could be done within the franchise (not mlb 2k). Even going back to 2002 and 2003 you could do so much more than what we can do now. It doesn't make any sense.

When the producer for MVP switched over to the 2K series, I like everyone else was excited. I thought that the franchise would receive a major facelift. It really hadn't. Granted having the ability to have the real minor leagues is good, but c'mon. This dude came from a title that had it all, pricing, real budgeting (stadium upgrade for more fans or sign that big name free agent), stadium building and more. No excuse why 2k's franchise has been dormant for so long. Other than the minor leagues, it is the EXACT same as it was in 2005.

The player pics are annoying for me as well but not a dealbreaker. I completely understand what you are saying though. They just got the hall of famers right this year. I can't tell you how irritating it was to see my all-time favorite player, Robin Yount listed in this game as a hall of famer for the Chicago Cubs. He never even played the Cubs in his career. How could a mistake like that even be made and the sad thing is, it took them at least three years to fix it.

I could go on with my complaints, but in reality, I love 2K8. I have finished my season as the Brewers winning the World Series against the Angels 4-1. I am really excited as to how i have my team built up now for this next season. If i do finish this season, i will have some very difficult decisions to make with signing or not signing my players. Guys like Prince Fielder, Chris Capuano, Tony Gwynn Jr. and others. It should be interesting. I hope i do get to the end of this season. I play all my games and have not simulated one. I think that when FOM comes out, it may consume my time.

If this game follows the same structure as the other 2K9 games, then the online set up will be like the online set up for NHL and NBA.
