I'm probably the only person who cares, but does anyone know if stadium renovations will be captured on MLB 2K9? In particular, Kauffman Stadium in KC is going to look dramatically different this season (it did last season as well, and neither 2K8 or The Show reflected it in their games). I'm sure that the new Yankee Stadium will be beautifully rendered on both games...but how about making the K look just as good?

wait...aren't the Royals a minor league team???
Jk, but wow theres a lot of Royals fans on this site, and I've been waiting for 2K to do some stadium/player portraits updating for years now. Miller Park looks nothing like it does in real life. The walls in the game are sky blue for some odd reason, and have lightning on them? Why?

I'll have you know that the Royal's have one more World Series victory than the Cubs in the last 100 years...j/k.
But seriously...update some stadiums and work harder on getting wall colors right, etc...

Unfortunately every stadium in 2K is wrong in some way or another. The Fenway that is being used is the one from the 2003 season. All 2K needs to do is get an updated picture from each stadium as well the ideas for what ads will go where. It's not really that hard. Later

youre right... all the stadiums are from around 2002-2004..
Miller Park still has the design it had around 2001-2002...just about when they had the All-star game. Its totally changed now.

I have sent them a document detailing all the things wrong with the stadiums in the game. It even includes the new New York stadiums, and Kauffman after the renovations. I have been told by Ronnie that they are using that document as a reference guide. How much reference they take from it, and how many stadiums they update because of it, is totally unknown at this point, though. But it was a very comprehensive document, with many pictures pointing out errors and changes. A lot of it was taken from the Graphics Changes thread I had posted in the 2K8 section a while back.
Let us hope that they actually use that document to get the stadiums looking as authentic as possible.

Yeah...even the indians stadium was wrong last year. Granted the name change wen through like a month before the season stared so it was cool to still play at jacob's field and not stupid 'progressive field'. They should also have a plan were playoffs teams can add additional seating or something. I know the indians did this a few years ago and im sure theyre not the only team to do so

they need to do something so playoff games feel more like playoff games and not like just another regular season game. Make more fans, or all of them having towels, or a blackout, just something to make it feel more dramatic and fun. You deserve that for getting so far in franchise mode.

I can't remember the thread, but were all the Fenway renovations part of this document?
I did purchase MLB Power Pros for the Wii and the Fenway in there was much better than the one in 2K8. The Coca Cola deck was there, and also the scoreboard on the Green Monster was longer (I think). I still think there were things missing but for the most part I think it was definitely more accurate to real life. So hopefully 2K9's version will be even better. Later
