Extremely dissapointing

I don't have alot of time to go into details, but the game is a stale brick. I should have rented it first. The only good thing is that it's very detailed, but the fact that you can't really MANAGE the games (no I don't mean play them I mean MANAGE them) really is a gamebreaker for me.

Also a complete turn off, is it doesn't matter what you do the crowd is silent. NOTHING! No commentary, No cheering, NOTHING.

Sorry 2k but your game BLOWS.

Yea ok while at bat you can choose:

1. HIT
2. BUNT
3. STEAL


While at the mound you can choose:

1. PITCH
2. BULLPEN
3.DEFENSIVE ALIGNMENTS

and I think 1 other choice. Oh yea WALK BATTER. I mean come on.

That's it! You can't do ANYTHING else, hell you can't even warm up pitchers. Also the pitching is so fast and unrealistic it was a complete turn off. You can't even select what TYPE of pitch. Hell you can't even tell what pitch he's throwing because it's so FAST. Pitch, strike, pitch ball, pitch strike, pitch hit. It's literally THAT FAST.

Ridiculous.

if you wanna manage like that, why not just get the regular 2k game?

this is designed so that you can focus on ALL THE OTHER STUFF.


the GM doesn't manage the game on the field... it's like buying a game called "Airplane Mechanic" and expecting to be the pilot.

Umm, actually you can warm up pitchers, in fact that's what the bullpen function is for.

There are some obvious "manager" functions they left out such as pinch running, and the double switch. or hit for contact, that seem odd to be left out, they could have also included hit for power, or hit for contact, but otherwise, it's pretty much exactly what I expected from a "manager" standpoint. If you're wanting to call every pitch, you should have just waited for MLB 2k9

I haven't really used those functions anyway myself. I mean its a Front Office game. I just sit up in the suite and watch the guys i bought do their thing. I dont see too many Jerry Jones's in baseball walkin down to the dugout tellin ppl what they should be doin on the next pitch.
