Has anyone who has purchased the game had the problem of players disappearing from your roster once spring training starts? Something like half my roster disappeared and a bunch of my players' ratings took a huge dive once ST started. Any thoughts?

I havent seen that yet, but my players disappear after making roster edits. Any player I move shows up on the roster, but not as an option on the batting lineup screen.

I figured it out. I didn't realize I had to sign virtually my entire team. It was a bunch of guys who wouldn't be free agents in reality (1 or 2 year pros).

Supposedly they will change this in an update they're planning. I just hope its soon!

Also, why are all the length of contract one year (and expiring before you play a game!). Ryan Ludwick, skip schuemaker and rick ankiel all were gone before i played a game with the cardinals!?
Right now there is a tentative plan to release 3 roster updates:
Released SOON: rosters (and the game's "start date") current as of Jan. 20
Released last week of February: rosters & start date current as of Feb. 15 (start of Spring Training)
Released second/third week of April: rosters & start date current as of Apr. 6 (Opening Day)
As you can imagine, there are lots of variables, so this is subject to change, but it is the current plan. If not much happens in the next few weeks (no major trades; FA like Manny, Dunn, Abreu still unsigned, etc.), then there might only be the April update. Due to the nature of the game, there won't be any midseason updates.

Oh how I long for the good old days when a game worked right out of the box.:)

did you go to the extended roster and make them active? I noticed guys that i had on my roster wouldn't show up and after some tinkering got it to work... for some reason they put some of your guys on a reserve roster or something... hopefully that helps...

Can you expand on this man or can anyone? This is the exact problem That I am having. I signed Vlad in the offseason and he is somehow stuck on my 40 man roster but i guess not on my active roster. I cannot find anywhere to get him up. Do i have to restart and make sure there is space on my active roster before i sign him or something? Thanks man.

I understand the concept of a 40-man and 25-man roster, but sometimes it doesn't assign players who are on the 40 to the minors. They are just there rotting away. Also, any word on whether or not an update would include international signings (uehara, tazawa, etc.)?

I noticed that when you sign someone, whether it be a free agent, rule 5, wiaver wire, etc. they go into a pending tarnsactions table for ten days. that gives you time to free up roster space to add the players or if you have the room you can simply just move them onto the team. Not sure if this is what is tripping you guys up but it took me a little while to figure this out.
