Do I need to resign guys like Joe Smith and Daniel Murphy if it says they have 0 years left, or do I keep them for the minimum salary like I should. If they actually have 0 years left it's a huge error in the game.

OK, I really need to know this. Because I just started with the Rays, and apparently I "Let Matt Garza leave" (someone was unhappy about in an email) when he should've automatically been kept for the minimum.

Is no one else having some (but not all) of these players randomly become free agents?

Come on guys, I know someone can help me with this. I decided to start over with the Mets, and now it's telling me I can't trade guys like Daniel Murphy, Joe Smith, etc. because they don't have a contract, even though they should automatically be being paid the minimum salary.
Do I need to manually give them each 400K?

Yes, you have to tender a contract to all the players you want to keep. Low service time players will accept a minimum contract for a year.

No, this is actually one of the few things the game has correct. The "auto-renewal" players DO have to be tendered contracts, even at league minimum.
