I have decided I am going to try and start a Cleveland Indians franchise and post my stats on this site as I go. I have read others for the past 2 years and think it is a very cool idea and would like to try it out for myself. First off for anyone who is going to follor my franchise or read this atleast I would appreciate somme quick input to help me get started.

1) First off as an Indians fan I am aware that Asdrubal Cabrera is a natural shortstop, and Perralta is a future 3rd basebam. What I am asking is in your guys opinion do you think it is a good move to move perralta to 3rd base, Asdrubal to SS and Derossa to 2nd base??? please give me some feed back

2) What stats are people on this forum usually interested in seeing? For hitting I was thinking about posting AVG. R HR RBI SB ( Should I add More?? doubles triples etc.?)
For Pitching, I was considering Wins, Saves, Strikeouts, ERA? Any other stats people would be interested in?

I would appreciate some feedback over the next half hour to an hour before I construct my projected starting lineup!!!

Niccceeee, I've been waiting for a Tribe Chise!

1.) Yes, Peralta 3rd, Cabrera SS, and DeRosa 2nd

Ok, i'll give you my input and i may just follow your franchise.

1) Yes i honestly think you should do that move. If it is likely to happen in real life then i'm all for it. Even if it doesn't happen in real life i'm still up for it. It's your franchise and it would make things interesting either way!

2) I would add for batting stats doubles, triples, walks, and strikeouts perhaps even on base percentage but that one isn't as important. As for pitching stats maybe add batting average against and home runs against.

Let me know what you think....

I ´ll follow, I have like 5 or 6 chises in my follow list haha.
And you can add if u want a Leaderboard, like my yankee chise :)

Ya ill look into that, I just figure the more stats there are, the harder to update it and it might be to much for people to look at. Didnt wanna clutter it with to many stats. But ya ill look into it and I dunno if that roster move will happen this year, but in time i think perralta and asdrubal will make up the left side of the infield for the tribe...

Yeah i know what you mean, i'd just add the two extra pitching stats then and not worry about the batting ones i mentioned. I'd say those pitching ones are more important.

Ya, Ill definatly look into that... Ill probably do a league leader stat board like what was recommended i think that would be interesting, also I will try and post after every single game but I am a student athelte in college so there may be days where I am busy and get behind and post maybe 2 or 3 game updates at a time... Games where I do happen to have more time I will try and post a player of the game also

cool.. bein a cleveland sports fan its good to see some1 finally doing a cleveland chise .. ill be glad to read this .. also i dont think peralta at 3rd is a good move .. try and deal peralta for a 3rd basemen.. move cabrera to short and derosa back to 2nd .. or sign a joe crede or someone along those lines.

Ya I understand where your coming from for sure, however atleast to start the season I wanna try and keep it like the Indians roster, however I will definatly consider looking for upgrades at 3rd for perralta as the season progresses. As for pre season moves the only thing I would consider changing something would be in the starting pitching, as for now the only 2 guys I love are Lee and Carmona, however we have tons of potential there just its so unclear at this point who is actually gonna step up...

Tribe....go to User CP and go to edit options. Scroll to the bottom. look at the middle of the page. If you see "miscellaneous settings", go to it and change it to standard editor. You should be able to put pics in and what not.

I admittedly don't get to see the Tribe play much, but consider moving Sizemore to the 3 or 4 hole. You'd know better than me who to move to lead-off, but Sizemore's bat is hungry for more RBI opportunities.

Nice, I'm a huge Tribe fan.

It's your franchise and you should decide whether you want to make that move with Peralta or not. Personally, I wouldn't do it. Good luck though, I will follow from time to time.

Nah, the reason Sizemore is lead off is we want him to get as many Batting Attempts as he can, and if I was you Tribe, I would not have Peralta batting clean up, and have Hafner there

_Tribe-Fever_
February 20th, 2009, 05:34 AM
Ya, That and the fact that beside sizemore we really dont have a true leadoff hitter. It is always being talked about how sizemore is a 3 hitter but he has preformed so well at lead off and again, we dont have anyone else to lead off for us... So what did people think about the middle and bottom of the lineup? would you do it differently???

Meekay08
February 20th, 2009, 07:47 AM
Well they aquired Josh Barfield to play 2nd and put him in leadoff but he hasnt really did anything special since his rookie season with the Padres

Meekay08
February 20th, 2009, 08:24 AM
U could go

1. Ben Francisco
2. Asdrubal Cabrera
3. Grady Seizmore
4.Travis Haffner
5 Johnny Peralta
6. Victor Martinez
7. Mark Derosa
8. Ryan Garko
9. Sin Soo Choo

Just my opinion...i would bat Victor farther down in lineup so u have power throught whole lineup....and then Derosa at 7 for an average guy and right behind him another Power hitter in Ryan Garko....i put Ben Francisco at leadoff cuz this guy is reall fast...prolly one of the fastest in the league and he has good contact....i moved Grady Seizmore to number 3 so his RBI total will go very up from 90s because of lead off hitter...i rounded out lineup with sin Soo Choo because of decet power, contact and speed

Look into Jeremy Guthrie, Matt Garza, James Shields, Justin Duescherer, Johnathan Sanchez, Matt Cain, Johny Cueto, Ricky Nolasco. There are few others that I can't think of.

I'd try to give up maybe Ryan Garko, Josh Barfield, Ben Francisco, Trever Crowe, or minor leaguers. Not all of them in one deal, obviously, but a combination of maybe Ryan Garko and a prospect or Francisco and a prospect. Just some ideas for you.

Getting a couple of them pitchers would be unrealistic like Cueto and Garza

GOOD NEWS JUST GOT WORD THAT MY GAMESTOP IS DOING THE MIDNIGHT RELEASE!!!!

As I stated earlier I play college baseball and am quite busy, on the positive side tuesday morning I have 5am practice and with a midnight release, me and my fellow housemates which are indians fans have decided to stay up all night and play till practice. Odds are the Indians franchise will get kicked off tonight and with a few of us guys playing, it should get a good chunk of games tonight, I will possibly update the stats while playing tonight if not tomorrow.... KEEP IN TOUCH

Last night after getting the game I played a few practice games and then considered starting the season, however I ended up deciding to wait a couple days 1-3 to get a little bit more updated roster now that the game is out and try and fine tune the sliders, I was playing on allstar and a combination of inside edge along with All star rating I was getting way to much offense against the computer, on the otherhand when turned on legend and didnt have a teams inside edge report I felt that it may be near impossible to hit a realistic amount of HR. So... I looked at the all star ratings and legendary and noticed that for the most part the difference is about 15-20 for each slider between rankings, the way I decided to try is when there is range of 15, i made it 5 away from legend so its like im 2/3 of the way to being at legend if you understand what im getting at, anyway I am going to try this out today and tomorrow and see how realistic they are before I get into a season. Any input thoughts or commments are greatly appreciated... I LOVE THIS GAME

Season Starts Tonight, My baseball team leaves for FLorida tomorrow and I have decided to stay up tonight and complete quite a few games so I will try and post results tomorrow before I leave. I added Laporta and Trevor Crowe to the minors 2 upcoming prospects and have decided that either throughout the year or in the offseason I will look to move westbrook and hafner, 2 players who are getting older and have the 2 biggest contracts on team... Thoughts on pitcher/DH to go after????
