View Full Version : How do you make a CB do bump coverage?

I hate playing people who use Rice constantly and they chuck the ball 75 yards down the field (no exaggeration). I have Lester Hayes but I can't figure out how to make him bump Rice.

Before the snap, I hold RB, hit A (bc that's Hayes), and then down on the right stick. But it looks like it makes him do a shallow zone coverage.

Any help?

Hold RB in man coverage and hit down on your R stick TWICE. Some plays are bump coverage right away and they will show it with a horizontal line underneath their man line. Check out the "2 man bump" play for reference.

If people know how to get bump coverage out of zone calls, particularly cover 2 hard ZONE I'm all ears. In my experience I haven't seen a bump.

Call 2 bump-- there is one in every formation.

Your best bet to stop the deep pass is to play a zone, and invest in some legend Dlineman.

I like blitzing to stop the deep pass. :)

If you send 6 and they block 5 along with controlling the free man, it works well for me. It is likely your opponent will be sacked before he completes his drop. Once he keeps men in, that's when the deep zones pay off even more! You can start doubling guys up. I'd first make sure he respects your pressure and keeps men in to block at least SOMETIMES!

SHH! We aren't supposed to disclose our OWN weaknesses... aren't we supposed to disclose others? :)
