Do you know or could you find out what happens in this example...

I'm on defense and there is a hit to my second basemen and I miss play it and it rolls in the outfield between the Rf & Cf players, I hit (A) to take control of the fielder but it goes to the wrong guy so I hit (A) again to go to the other guy. Once my player fields the ball is he going to throw it home? I use the R stick to throw and I pushed up on it but for some reason he threw it home?

Since hitting A= select player and also throws to home, I am concerned about the pre-loading throws on the buttons.

Did I make any sense?

i just wouldnt use the buttons i think the are horrible

ya pre loading is kinda messed up. also usually when u pre load it only gives you the weakest throw. hopefully they've fixed this
