I don't believe there is a demo for the Wii. Not that I have heard or seen anyhow.

Where would you download a demo to? The Wii has no storage.
That said, it's probably a nice coincidence for 2K that nobody will see firsthand that 2K9 is basically just a re-skinned version of 2K8 before making the purchase.
The only developer/publisher that has any real clue what they're doing on the Wii when it comes to sports games is Konami. 2K shouldn't force VC to waste their time on Nintendo or to mislead the public into thinking that they're actually invested in the platform. Just contract the work out to the folks who bring MLBPP or PES 2008/9 to the Wii.
