Who are the best pass rushers on the game. I see a lot about S:DE's Elvin Bethea and Too Tall Jones. What about the gold DE's or silver L.C. Greenwood (speed burner) or bronze Clyde Simmons (pass & run, bull rush & club). Looking for feedback on players who seem to have great attributes but I don't see them getting much attention in the forum. Any info is appreciated.

Kieth Millard is really good bang for the buck. Art Donavan can be as well.
The best, if you ask me, is a tie between Curtis Little and Marc Fields.

I just started using Deacon Jones the other day and i'm slowing becoming convinced he might be the best gold for dominating almost every pass play.
I do not usually use high tier DL but if I do it is either Silver DT Jerome Brown or DE Elvin Bethea.
Clyde Simmons and Leon Lett are my 2 favorite Bronze.

Ya know Ive only used Deacon a grand total of 1 game, but you are about the 3rd person who's said this recently. I may have to give him a long term look :)
The DE, I'm most let down by is L.C. Greenwood, Ive tried every concievable thing I could think of to get him to do SOMETHING.

I've seen Deacon take on double teams, break them and get sacks. He is a complete beast. I've seen him run down stretch plays to the other side of the field. I'm convinced he's the most athletic DL in the game, yes even more than Reggie White!

Wow LC Greenwood made me so mad when when I gave him a try out, did absolutely nothing vs. generic line and then got injured.
I'm also baffled as to why Reggie White never performs like a gold for me every time I give him a try out.
Deacon though man , I swear vs. generic line he just blows it up nearly every single time almost instantly.
The first time I used him the CPU had minus passing yards from having to the dump the ball to the flat and Deacon had 5 sacks , 6 TFL and a forced fumble that was picked up and ran in for a TD.

Well I just slapped Deacon Jones on the DL to go along with Dan Saliamua.
Yikes! 5 sacks out of Mr. Jones. I lined him up on the right side, left side, and also at D-Tackle in some sets. He was wrecking absolute mayhem.

Do you manually control him or no?

It seems to change form game to game..... I recently played a game where Too Tall Jones KILLED my QB with 6 to 7 sacks. One of the few games I constantly replayed plays due to the amazing nature Jones got through my line and sacked me. The next gu I played had R. White. And he ended up with 0 sacks......... So I think they run hot or cold.

Do you agree about Deacon's athleticism? The guy can get nasty.

He seems like a mix of Leroy Selmon and Reggie to me. He's really quick, and can pull off his move in a flash like Selmon, but has the power to get through the middle of the DL and chase with speed like Reggie.

1. Randy White DT (Gold) ..... CPU pressure at the DT position. Draft him if you play as SS,FS, or LB.
2. Dexter Manley DE (Bronze) .... Balanced in Manual and CPU pressure. Great pick for the bronze value.
3. Gino Marchietti DE (Gold) .....CPU pressure. The best
4. L.C. Greenwood DE (Silver) .....Be unique and draft him since no one else does. Great sacker
5. Elvin Bethea DE (Silver) .....His leadership and pass rush are invaluable.
6. Reggie White DE (Gold) ....Great pass rusher if manually used...CPU seems to get stuck in the guards and tackles.

IMHO - the best pass rushing combo (in 3-4) is Hampton/Bethea.
I usually line them up like so: Generic/Hampton/Bethea.
Usually the CPU has their best O-line on the other side.
So this adds to their chances of getting thru the line.
