I want to purchase the PC version of mlb2k09 and it was stated there will be no living rosters update,Wiil 2k have update patches to update the game as well as trades made after the game is out? Is the PC game up to date?

no the pc version will not have update patches and the pc game should be up 2 date

just purchased the PC version and am very upset because the rosters are not even close to being up to date. Looking at a team like the Cubs, Rich Hill is still on the roster and listed as the #5 starter. Olsen is in the minors, he isn't even on the team anymore. blah blah blah.
If there isn't going to be any roster updates for this and no patches...then this game will never be close to the real 2009 rosters.
Sad. I had such high hopes for this game. :(

jiggin have you ever played a sports game on PC before? The mod community (if the game is good enough to keep an audience) will release their own rosters. MVP Baseball 2005 is still getting new mods and rosters.

yeah, in fact that is what I have been doing with mvp 2005. I had just hope that this would be different and would get better support for the rosters. After all, they are giving live updates to the consoles, so it would seem they are doing the hard work already, just need to put it in patch form for the PC.
Anyway...guess I will wait and play it as is until then.
PS - Anyone else having issues with HRs? I took myself out of the equation and allowed the computer to play the computer with a pretty stacked lineup (I left my control in the middle so they duke it out). 6 games in now and not 1 HR from either team. WOW.

I bought the PC version as well. Same problem with the Sox and Cubs Rosters. I'm also having problems with my controller. I heard that the PC roster update will be a download. Some guy on this forum said that he will update the rosters himself. I think they will update the rosters before the season starts. There are still a lot of changes that will take place between now and then, I'm sure.
