Is this true? How does this feature get removed from the game? For a game that prides itself on signiture style to remove the customization features of created players and to assign one horrible little league batting stance is beyond belief. Say it aint so!!!

They are gone!!!! I just posted in the MLB 2K9 section. No option to change any stance or any pitch delivery. Now u gotta deal with Carlos Pena doing that stupid wiggle all the time. I just don't get this game. I really want to love it, but it keeps stabbing me in the back. Later

Yeah, it'd be nice for a developer to chime in and explain the reasoning behind this. Just amazes me that this was either an oversight or an intentional move.

That is pretty ridiculous considering games that are 10 years old have that feature.

Then no purchase for me. I spend half my time creating and editing players. HUGE omission.

FOO4EVERLONG do you have the game or how do you know all this? If you do how is it?

I'll still buy it :P I barely edit these things... would be a bummer if you can't edit your own player's stances (if you can create any) but oh well... there are worse things... e.g. looking the same every year or horrible throwing animations or batters continually showing the umpire their hand after every single at bat.

Game Killer, cant stand the fact that not only did they not capture a sig style for carlos pena, we cant edit it as well. Thanks for nothing. 2k was on a short leash with its fans this year and seems like a ton was done but then they took out a bunch of stuff that we were actually happy with and this was one of them. Heres a good rule for 2k to follow allthough they are too stuck behind their cubes to actually do it. LISTEN TO THE COMMUNITY! If yall knew what we wanted then yall would have had mulitple game awards and we wouldnt be harping on this every year. Oh well, the show it is

This is honestly a near-game killer for me. This is ALL I do in franchise. I edit all players to have the closest to real life stances. Ron please work this out somehow.

I usually create 1 player, so it sucks that I can't edit his stance/pitching windup...far from a game-killer. I never edit anyone else or anything....It sounds like you guys were just waiting for one thing to get messed up so you can b**ch and moan...VC had to build the game from the ground up in 8 months! Do you think they thought this was a big deal when they were deciding what would make the cut? I doubt it.

Everyone knows what is about to happen. Now that the game is out, the know it all dev are gonna go into hiding, not answer any ?'s, def not fix anything and blow smoke up our butts next year saying its an all new and improved 2k10 baseball game. Sorry, just tired of getting all hopeful year after year and getting let down as well as the dev hide and dont do anything.

I hope they patch this up, or set a downloadable thing on XBOX/PS3 to make it possible. They don't get how much this hurts the game. No minor league players can have stances, and about 2/3 of the MLB players have generic also. Please fix this for the fans, 2K.

this is a 100% game killer. I literally could care less about animations not being perfect, I could care less about faces not being kissable (seriously, some of you all are disturbing w/the game faces complaints), and I could REALLY care less about the jersey's and stadiums...
but me not being able to create a player the way I want to? the way we've been doing in baseball games since the 90's!? absolutely insane. and nobody can convince me that this was not an accident/oversight on the part of 2k and VC...they shipped it out like this on accident. especially when their basketball game has the BEST/MOST DETAILED create-a-player in sports gaming history.
I've already cancelled my XBOX live account today, I'm going to sell my XBOX 360 so that I can get the enjoyment of playing both games this year...the frustration of not being able to play a solid baseball game has finally taken its toll..and this was the final straw.

They better patch this up! I was just thinking about how inaccurate Pena's stance is in the demo, too!

guys, at least (from what I hear) they took out the ability to edit the players ratings too, things like what pitches the pitcher throws and speed etc) so we wont have that either. Makes not being able to edit their stances and deliveries better IMO. I think they know what they are doing and we probably dont need this stuff we have all loved for years. Probably helps the framerate!

How can it help the framerate? Its not even part of that. This is going to make franchises boring 2 to 4 years in, and beyond that, everyone will have the generic stances. They need to do something about this. Make it DLC, or w/e they have to. Think of all the people that don't know about this, that will come here when they find out.

Last week this was a day one purchase. Now, until a patch is announced, I will not be buying this game.

is this all hear-say?? Where are you getting this info.? proof? First let me say I hope this is all wrong. 'll be ****ed if this is true. I am a HUGE franchise guy. Edit all my minor leaguers. I almost got sick to my stomach when I read you couldn't edit player ratings and pitchers speeds. I can't tell you how many times last year I had to adjust player ratings b/c they were off. This is HUGE! People always say the game is way too easy and so many homeruns and too easy to pitch. Try jacking up the players stats and the sliders as hard as possible, see how easy it is then. 2K probably took this out b/c they figure everyone complains about the game being too easy and must assume that no one messes with these sliders or the AI would be a competitive opponent.
I was gonna trade in 2K8, but I may be holding on to it. First thing I do is edit all my minor leaguers in my organization. Then I'll do the top 100 and go team by team editting. Ya, it's a dork move but I like it. If I can't have this I'll be playing 2K8. I sometimes wonder why we write on these boards, b/c no one important from 2K shows up and gives a damn. If I see these edit features are gone, I will personally slice up the game, then ship it back to 2K and say give me MVP. Of course, I hope this is all wrong.
