Greetings,

I am very excited about March 3rd. I have only a PC and no console. The MVP baseball series has been the greatest..Especially all the gifted modders at EAMODS.COM and MVPMODS.COM, the modders know who they are. When we PC baseball players were left for dead in the gaming industry, they kept u alive.

Now, almost 5 years later there is a new baseball game being released for the PC. Does anyone know if the franchise mode will be satisfying for us on the PC end who have had MVP? But most importantly do you feel VC will clean this game up, meaning, I have read there are some issues with Franchise mode?

I also wonder if this game will be modder friendly? Either way, I am very anxious to play this game, or even the demo for that matter. Which probably won't matter since the final-build is being launched on Tuesday. I also understand the final-build is improved over the demo. I hope VC keeps patching this years game! They would have a huge following in the PC realm......

You come out here saying their competitor had "the greatest" game ever, that you "were left for dead" then you ask if the game will be like MVP and if they will "clean the game up."

Maybe you should rewrite your post without the snotty EA fanboy attitude if you really expect an answer...

Or maybe I won't?

I don't believe I asked anything disrespectful...Seeing that MVP was/is almost 5 years old. I also mentioned I was buying 2K9 eagerly on the 3rd. That's the problem with these boards and kids who never grew up. Forget it..2nd and last post here..

All I was looking for was if the MVP players from the PC would be pleased with 2K9 since it was the last baseball sim released in almost 5 years for the PC...So of course we would all be optimistic, more so than console players...

The guy was just asking a question. The 2nd poster should just keep the criticism to himself, if everyone did then the internet would be a better place.

Word. The guy that started this thread had a valid question.

I dont understand why you were rude to the poster. Most people will agree that MVP baseball 2005 was perhaps the best baseball game made for both console and pc. His question was valid and did not warrant your disrespect.

Agreed. That was just rude.

You don't have to be a Snotty EA fanboy to know that EA makes one hell of a baseball game. 2k is only good at making THE BEST BASKETBALL GAME EVER. They sucked in Football, and they suck in baseball.

Oh, I guess all the great scored in their football releases were just coincidence, and the fact many still consider the NFL2K franchise superior to anything else is just blind fanboyism?

Best sports games:

Baseball - EA MVP 05 ...Will there ever be any competition?
Football - NFL 2K5 ...can't get enough pixelated Chris Berman :)
NHL - EA NHL09 ...only if it had blood on the ice....old school style! j/k
Basketball - Toss up...I haven't had enough equal playing time to decide.

IMHO :)

I just bought 2k9 on my lunch break and I'm eagerly awaiting loading it up on my PC tonight. (also got a brand new ATI 4870 to go along with it :) ) That said I completely agree with the OP. MVP 2005 was/is an awesome game. The only bad part for me was that I didn't find the MVPMODS site until last year so I missed out on a couple of years of great mods. Chances are I'll stick with 2K9 and hopefully 2K10 and beyond, but VC has a lot to live up to on the PC especially considering PC baseball fans had no choice but to stick with 1 game for 4 years. It's one thing to play on a console where you get new games every year - and often multiple titles - but when you haven't seen a new title since 2005 you're probably going to expect a little more. I wish VC nothing but the best with this series for the PC.
