View Full Version : 2 Major Bugs Online! (Ron)

This game is very good. I have 2k9, and it runs very somooth, so its not the gameplay. (And its not lag)

The 1st is every few games or so, the pitcher throw a blank pitch, and the game says, waiting for opponents and the ticker comes up.
It will make you lose your data, as this happened to be in te 9th, when I had a nice lead.

The 2nd is something already stated. The Pickoffs are a joke online. Its literall impossible to stay on base. With the smallest lead possible on 2nd base, you still get out 80% of the time. If you take the default lead on 1st or 3rd, your out 70% of the time. Of course, its going to be the cheesiest move ever online, and it should be in the 1st patch.

Mods dont delete this, because if you hear 1 person giving you feedback on this before the game is out, imagine what your going to hear on the 3rd.

Edit: Also, the Rosters are a joke. Why is Ian Kennady and Phil Hughes on the roster and Edwar Ramirez isnt? My 7th inning man isnt evenon the roster? and theres a 0% chance he doesnt make the roster.

And, a know this is a small thing, but I think you should have people online line only able to use 1 starter, and lock the rest. Adds realism to the game.

These things are not major. I think you can just press the right trigger to get back to the base.

accually primetime there is a big chance the edwar wont make the roster....phil ***e is fighting for his spot and also ian kennedy and phil huges might got to the bullpen....one of the two at least.....Also this is living rosters so it will be fine once the season starts (remember how bad nba2k9 was on launch)

So, you don't think that an opponent being able to constantly pick you off base, even with the smallest lead is stupid? Sounds like a game killer to me.

I spoke to Ron about it in the Q+A, And he said he'll look into it.

Not the Answer I wanted, but ill take it.

I also asked about why cant we trade cards over live, and he said The cards are great this year, all of you will love it.

Eddy will no doubt make the team, Kennedy will be in AAA

I can actually agree with this as being a game killer as oppose to other things being labeled as game killers lately around the forums.

Also Id actually like to know if, instead of trying to go back to base, you tried stealing the next base instead?

If you're going to get picked off 9/10 for the smallest possible lead then perhaps running to the next base would be best if the guy is gonna throw to try to pick you off. Should give you more time to steal the bag.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate I havent played 2k9 yet.
Although somebody posted controls on the forum a little while back.
I noticed that taking leads and diving back controls did change according to the other post.

Left Bumper - Decrease Lead/ Dive back All Runners
Right Bumper - Decrease Lead/ Dive back Individual

Is this what buttons you are using?
