Franchise Crash

I was able to pick the game up this Saturday, and after adjusting some sliders, had been liking it quite a bit.

Sunday morning, I booted it up to continue my franshise, but it wouldn't let me load it. Actually, it says that my franchise loaded sucessfully, but at that point my console freezes and I have to hit the power button.

I decided to start a new franchise, hoping it was a freak occurance. As a precaution, I decided to put my franchise progress into two save slots this time (each time I finished a game, I would put it in a different slot). I put in about 5 more games, and turned it off for a bit.

Hoping to come back to my franchise later this evening, I am getting the same problem. My console keeps crashing when I try to load ANY franchise (this happens with both save slots).

Is this problem going to be corrected with the patch coming Tuesday? I am referring to the Xbox 360 version, by the way. Also, my Xbox has no history of crashing.

HAHA!! Your 360 knows you:nono: shouldn't have that game yet and it's making your life a living Hell!!!:D

I hope it does get patched, all I play is franchise :eek:

i hope so too, i'm liking it much better than 2k8... i was hoping to go through all 162 games this year (only did about 40 or so in 2k8)

hows the gameplay and overall look, is it any better than the demo?

there's a learning curve. on my HDTV, the game looks terrific compared to last year. i'm playing on all-star difficulty. it started as a serious home run fest (i knocked that slider from 60 to like, 25). fielding is frustrating until you learn the trick to it... my outfielders were missing many routine flyballs until i stopped pressing the analog stick when they are near the yellow cursor). i also turned down hitting/power on both sides...

my first few games were rediculous, like 10-8, 15-12, stuff like that. i seem to have struck a balance that works for me, i had a 2-0 game and just had a 5-3 loss before this little glitch happened :-(

it's gonna take some time to tweak the sliders. I can't wait to get this on Tuesday. Where did you get it?

i don't want to rat anyone out, but a major retailer just had it on the shelf. someone must have put it out without noticing the street date and the register didn't stop the sale. there's no sticker on the actual game, so it'd be worth calling/driving around to major dept. stores.

Im having the same problem. I started two franchises with the yanks and every time i try to load it it crashes. they def gotta fix this.

Im getting the same problem with the freezing, even after the system updated... I really hope they fix the franchise freezing, it reminds me of 2k7 when almost every game frooze....

This is happening to me, too. Bought game last night, played Franchise through 5 or 6 games. I did the save-and-quit option midgame during 1 game. Now whenever I load back in the game lets me play a half-inning of that game and then freezes in basically the same spot in the next frame every single time.

This is post-patch.

I am going to delete my franchise and start a new one, maybe starting over with the patch now installed will help.

Mentioned the save-and-quit midgame bit because I saw that in another franchise freeze thread.

Guys I have deleted my previous franchise saves pre=update and suggest the same. So far I am on my 4th game with no issue. Knock on wood. I would assume with the update that all previous franchise saves would be corrupt.

Could we please get a definitive word on this? This will be the last straw if the patch didn't fix it. I won't be buying if the franchise doesn't work.

i am also now having a freezing problem post patch where the game freezes while i'm in the menus at the schedule. i so far have not experienced a freezing problem while playing a game just in the schedules, more in particular when i highlight a previous game in the schedule it seems to freeze.
