Greetings,

I just installed and loaded up 2K9. It looks great, however by the time I selected my franchise team and went to play the first game, it dumped. Meaning it crashed and the system re-booted.

When is the patch going to be released? Also, before you ask I superceed the specs for this game, hands down. I can play GTA4 and Fallout 3 without breaking a sweat. I hope the patch fixes this. Thank you, and I hope to be playing soon!!

Hopefully your still around.

A BSOD like that could indicate a couple of problems.

A problem with RAM is usually the first issue.
Sound cards can do this also, if your not vista use dxdiag ((start > run > dxdiag)) and change the sound slider from full acceleration to basic acceleration.

Another possible but very remote is SecuROM has a conflict with your hardware. Usually getting in contact with SecuROM with a directX dump on your system, they may help you out and possibly give you a new game executable that may be more stable on your system.

I have played about 20 games and have had quite a few crashes but its only when I bring a reliever in. So what I do is if I have to bring in a reliever I just save teh game in progress so I can continue if it crashes.
