Add that to the fact there are no HR distances and I am not buying this game. Too bad some of the new features sound cool like how players improve based on how they play. That would fit in perfectly with minor leagues. You play with the guys and depending on how you use them impacts how they improve. But if I cant play with my draftees in A or AA I cant directly impact their development. Games arent supposed to go backwards in their development and take features away, but I guess 2K hasnt realized that.

I always create all the guys I played college ball with and start them out in A ball and see how they progress and move up. I only play the minor league games until some of my guys make it to the majors. I loved how the minor league teams and uniforms were in last years game, and I was hoping for more minor league stadiums this year.

If I cant play A or AA then there is no incentive to buy the game.

Oh well i just saved myself some money. Thanks 2K for regressing.

You are the first and only person that I have seen here complain about not being able to play as the AA or A minor league teams.

Well for me that's the biggest selling point. What's baseball without your farm system? I want to have a direct impact on how my players down on the farm improve. That's why I didnt by 2k_ before they added A and AA. EA had it and when 2K took over the license they didnt have it at first and I didnt buy the game and I wont buy this one nor will I buy another baseball game until it returns. Same with hockey. I wont buy a hockey game if I cant play with my minor league team.

no, there are others who have an issue with this, and issues in general with things that USED to be in the game being taken out.

However, FCMVP....the good news is that you also cant edit the players anyway (cant change positions, limited amount of names, cant edit attributes of pitchers, etc) so there would be no way to play with the minor leaguers and make it anywhere close to realistic. So thats good.

This years edition should be a VERY good arcade game, so if you are into a good pick-up-and-mash game, I think they nailed it!

The good news...on Amazon.com, you can get a brand new copy of MLB 2K8 for $16. I wish I hadn't traded in my old copy. You have full minor leagues on that game. The only drawback is that many of the teams have changed affiliations or nicknames.

I hope that MLB lets the excusive license expire and bring back competition for baseball gaming. It's unconscionable how many features were removed from last years title for this year. I've never seen a title abandon so many things instead of building upon what was already there. I'm extremely disapointed. I've been a huge fan of 2K... Until now.
