So I haven't bought 2k9 yet...and from the looks of it, I may wait until I can get it used for $19.95. I enjoyed the last 2 years for different reasons...but I'm not going to invest another $65 for moderate if no improvement.
So here is my desires for 2k10.
1. I've been playing NHL09 and I'm addicted to the Be A Pro mode. MLB could really use this mode. Imagine being a high school or college draft player working your way through the minors and finally making the majors, signing agents to get you a $100 million deal at the age of 37 :P
If 2kSports wanted to get real adventurous, they could bring back thier first person mode for this...but 3rd person would do me fine...just controling my switch hitting second baseman would be great...trying to meet the coaches season expectations to rise my way to the majors. It would be sweet.
2. Reaction time... So I used to be a big fan of MLB05 from EA...not a big Ea sports fan, but that game had some serious ability when it came to reaction time. Diving for balls, running catches, jumping up walls, turning double plays. It was fast, and you knew if it was you when you missed. You wouldn't hit the button and then count to 3 hoping the computer decided to grant you an out.
3. I think on the plus side...2KSports is heading in the right direction with graphics and look and feel. I love it when the ballboy runs behind the Ump. or when the Umpire throws a baseball to the pitcher. I like the focus on signature player movements... A+
So this is my start to what 2k10 should offer...lets hear yours.
P.S. A really tough franchise mode would help too.
