BREAKING NEWS, MLB network reports a trade between the yankees and royals!

The new york yankees and the kansas city royals agree to a trade that inclueds too of the yankees top prospects. Austin jackson and Tim abercrombie are traded to the Royals for Jose Guillen and Mark Teahen. The Gm of the royals had this to say. "We are extremely happy to have both these young men on out team and they will get there opportunities to play in the major leagues."

On a lighter note the royals called up Tony Pena JR to the roster while sending down willie bloomquist.

Manny Ramirez has just signed with the Kansas City Royals at 1 year 16.11 million dollars. This deal got done after the deal for Austin Jackson and this is what the GM had to say. "When I called mannys agent I could tell he didnt want to speak to us, but after a long talk and alot of convincing and telling him were our team is going he gave us a meeting. From their manny loved were our team was heading too and I told him flat out, We can be a top team in the league with you in the middle of our lineup. Our pitching is what sold him to come to kansas city and we got the deal done then."

Summary.
This game was a horrible one for the Royals as Manny
was given the day off but will return for game 2 royals manager said after the game. "I talked to him and he said he felt no ill effects of the travel and would like to play so he will." Gil Meche pitched 2.0 innings giving up 8 earned runs on 8 hits. The manager said "He had a rough start to his season i think he will shake it off and be ready for his next start." The relievers didnt do much either and I dont think the new GM is pleased with this performance I wouldnt be surprised if some new faces are added from the FA market. The Royals then have a home stand against the new and improved NY Yankees and the Cleavland Indians

The Kansas City Royals made 2 moves before game 2 with the white sox. The royals have signed Juan Cruz (RP) from free agency to a 1 year deal worth 1 million dollars. Also soon after the mets called the royals with a offer for David dejesus(OF). The mets offered Mike Pelfery(SP) and the Royals agreed to the terms.
