I'm a fan of the Bigs and looking forward to it. Though alot of that enthusiasm is tempered by the abundance of problems with 2K9.

It's one of the most amazing trailers I have ever seen for any sports game. Those of you who haven't seen it need to get on that immediately.

Hey Ron,

Can you get a message to 2k and ask them to release this and other future sports games on the PC as well? I love MLB 2k9 and am not a console fan. Thanks for MLB 2k9, I love it! :)

They have released their whole 2K line up so far on PC almost. With the exception of Top Spin 3 and NHL2K9 i believe.

yeah, but FoM looked like a good game by the trailer as well and look how that turned out. By the way, are you ever going to post back on that forum about a patch or the roster updates you promised were coming?

They throw out product after product because they have exclusive license instead of concentrating on a solid quality product but hey seems there are enough gamers to buy there minor quality products and forget about the other ones they released some months before

If I was the president of 2K Sports maybe I would do the same :p

Blue Castle which makes the Bigs i beleive is in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Visual Concepts, Novato, California, USA

The Developers are in a different country. Each game has absolutely no barring on the other.

I don't understand why still trying to argument the fact that they just throw out MLB licensed game after game.

I give you that:

Why did they never thought of merging them and make them work on one big Baseball title ? ... oh wait this would bring the company lesser money :thumbsdow

But didn't Blue Castle release FoM? So why should we look forward to The Bigs? And just because they are in a different country doesn't matter to me. Heck, you could have programmers from different countries on the same project if that's what it took.

What everybody is referring to is quality control. It's a 2K game right? Then 2K should know what they are putting out there. Or are you just looking to pass the buck because the game didn't turn out like it was suppose to?

Because they are different developers and they work on more games then just baseball. Blue Castle has been around for quite a while. Its also quite rare that more then 1 developing studio works on the same sports title. Cant just bring the other people in. They have lives and have holmes and some may not even be US citizens since its in another country. lol

I found it very refreshing to see a sports title that uses a completely different structure of how the League-ish games played. Instead of having certain amount of games to play against certain teams, they made it more like an adventure game where you first play the weaker teams, then move onto better and harder teams after beating the lesser power teams.

Then there are all those little sub-quests like achievments, like get 5 runs against this opponent, or strikeout 7 against this team in a 3 game series. They used just about every types of ideas they can possibly pour onto a single baseball title to make one cohesive, and fun, and new way to play a sports game.

One of the most fun part of the game though, has to be the Pinball-like sub game. Not to mention perhaps the most fun and well-structured homerun derby, much better than ones from MLB 2K or the Show or others.

Gimme gmme gimme Bigs 2!

That's fine and all but your disregarding my post. Blue Castle also made Front Office Manger, which completely tanked..just check out that forum.

Look at the first Bigs game. It was really liked by alot of people. I never got to play FoM, but i hope there is something to build on there. If i remember correctly EA's Head Coach was pretty bad in its first year and in the 2nd year, i hear its more fun to play then Madden and NCAA. Just saying.

I don't know whats up in your mind or if you get payed for doing this but defending a company that produces crappy Baseball licensed games one after another is a very exceptional behavior maybe it's because you wanne keep your mod status who knows ...

and stop looking for any reasons to defend this company it bores me hearing it after 4 years of nothing.

This game will be as bad as any Baseball game this company brings out -> Mark my words !

Dude what the **** are you an ea spokesperson you come onto 2k website to bag on 2k. Even though the freaking game *BIGS* was better than most sport games that ea brings out look the madden franchise because of it sucking so much i didnt even accept a free cpy of the god damn game. not saying 2k is amazing but it has produced great nba titles past 3 years, good mlb games that just need to be bug fixed and had the best football games so go back to your commi country and go stick a lead pipe up your ***

Maybe, beucse the first one is pretty fun. To me, this has absolutely nothing to do with MLB2K9 or MLB2K8, or MLB2k7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Get my drift? People like you bore me with your constant complaining and whining over something. I know if i dont like something and i think its not good, you know what i do? I just totally ignore it. You dont see me going to the Madden boards crying to them about their horrible game. It is what it is, there is only 1 choice, get over it.

Also, if it bores you so much, why do you continue to come here? You are the only one boring yourself no one else. I got my Mod status because i been here a long time, i am a honest guy, and i think i am pretty fair to everyone here. If i am not, then by all means, show me something that proves me wrong.

I was here being the same person i was before i was a mod and i will be the same person i was during and after my time as a mod comes to an end.

I think you're okay with the Reggie/Orioles thing, if my memory serves me correctly it seems like he made a stop there for a year when he left Oakland in the mid to late 70"s.

The trailer was impressive, I'll definitely be picking up a copy when it comes out.
