It's pretty close to it. I believe that you can still download the demo for the BIGS on the 360. It's just a game that is all about fun and fast play. If you're a sim baller than you'd want to pass this one up for sure. The graphics are great and the stadiums look very nice as well.

The Bigs is just an arcade style baseball game kind of like how NBA Jam used to be back in the days. Its pretty fun. Its just a wild over the top baseball game. First one was really cool.

You can probably get Bigs for 10$ at gamestop. I got it for 15 a few months ago.

The Bigs > Slugfest. Bigs is just so much more fun even for the PSP the graphics are amazing I'm so excited about The Bigs 2. Hopefully it will be on the PC too.

Bigs has ungodly amounts of little games within games. It's really fun if you just turn off the realism in your brain and have fun.

Oh and the graphics(although over the top muscle mr. clean), despite its goofiness, looks incredible.

The bigs is a fun game, but have a bad graphic in PSP system, in PS2 it's graphic re so-so, in WII and X360 i don't know it. That game have a signature moves(In my country Indonesia it's called "Jurus") a fire ball, if you want do that, in PSP you must filled in a boost gauge, to filled in made a strikes until it's green and you can do a fire ball, and can make players run so fast.

I had a lot of fun with the first game on the Wii. Little things here and there could have been better, but the pitching and hitting were a blast. I'm looking forward the sequel.

I played it a little bit. It was too Arcade style for me... It had a "Career" mode though. I guess that was the only cool thing about it. It had more customization options for create a player than the MLB 2k games put together.

From the trailer in 2k9 looks like it's inspired by the steroid era of baseball.

I loved The Bigs...played a ton of it and can't wait for the new one. It is similar to Slugfest, but not quite as "over the top" (IMO).

Is any big difference between "big" consoles and PSP? I own the PSP version and it's been like a year so far and I still play it everyday (have to travel 1 hour due to be living far from work place). PSP version you can only play Rookie Challenge, single game and Home Run Derby. I love the game, hope it will make it to PSP again.

If it's anything like MLB 2K '09, I'm not buying it. 2K is releasing 2 baseball games, when they can't even get MLB 2k '09 to work correctly, unbelievable.

It's nothing like 2K9 at all. Try looking at the trailers for it so you can see what it is like. On another note, it's not made by the same group that made 2K9. It's a totally different studio called Blue Castle. They made the first BIGS and have had TWO years to create the BIGS 2. In my opinion, judging by the videos I've seen, they have vastly improved the game.

Yeah, think of it like NBA Jam for baseball, but definitely more subtle. I enjoyed the first bigs, and can't wait for 2. If you want to check it out, its dirt cheap at most places, and it has online so you can take on some people online, although at this point I am not sure how many people take it online, but its a great stand alone game.

I'm looking for a baseball gamethat I could enjoy with my wife on the wii. Is this game gonna be simple enough for a girly girl to play, yet fun enough for us to enjoy for a long period of time? Is it basically homerun derby, or a real game? If these questions have already been awswered, excuse my ignorance. I appreciate your help.

I don't have a Wii but I have heard and that it is very easy to learn. The creators designed it to be a great pick-up-and-play game for both casual and hardcore baseball enthusiastes. It has tons of different modes from mini-games that are fast and furious, to a season mode for those that like stat tracking, to Homerun Pinball (a great game IMO), and also single game and Career modes. Tons to keep you busy for a while.

the Wii version has virtually all of the same features as 360 and PS3. Regular exhibition, pick up game, become a legend mode, season mode, home run pinball, and 4 minigames. it's a really deep game with something for every level of gamer, and what's great is you don't have to be a diehard baseball fan to enjoy it. Wii was the most popular platform for BIGS1, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case again this time around.
