i dont see why it should be cheese. if my gameplan calls for it to use a cornerback as a safety for some specific formation. i watched every single 49ers game, nate clements is a cornerback, but many times niners used him at a safety. there was a huge hit he put on jason witten when he was playing safety.

I'd see no big deal with it. You have d-bags on this game who put a Safety at LB or Campbell at Kick Return and somehow they justify it to themselves so why not.

NO!!! APF 2K8 is geared towards offense so defenses need any advantage they can get. I think all defensive players are interchangeable in this game. Most of the time you're really not gaining an advantage anyway. I played a team that had Ronnie Lott at CB..... Why not just play with Rod Woodson or any Gold CB.

Most positions (DB, LB, DL) are all interchangable. I like putting Rod Woodson at safety because he has safety-friendly attributes.

Probably because Lott has footsteps. It makes your WR's drop a lot of passes...

Cowboys may be looking to move one of their CBs (Scandrick) to FS this year, so I see no problem with it.

Well I know Ronnie Lott made the pro bowl at every single defensive back position I would say its ok. I think Rod Woodson made it as a FS and CD also.

many CB's in real life play at times the safety position and when they get older the better CB's like Charles Woodson, Rod Woodson and more make the change to Safety full time. The Packers want to move Charles Woodson to Safety this year.
The funniest thing I saw to what you are referring to is when a guy had Lester Hayes and Willie Brown playing safety but had Lem Barney playing CB LOL. Why would you take Bump Master CB's off the line of scrimmage and use a non bump master on the line LOL. Lester Hayes doesn't even have any coverage attributes LMFAO!

I actually put Lester at safety once when I had a safety get injured and he was kinda crazy good. He must have had about 5 big hits that jarred the ball loose for an incompletion .

Lem Barney has absurd range at FS, which would make sense; but gives you a big fat zero in run support.

I wont do it myself, i just leave guys where they are at, but people do it all the time. Everyone likes to put Woodson at Safety. I wont do it, but people do it all the time.

They do but they don't have success at it, Charles Woodson barely played FS, Ronnie Lott and Rod Woodson were the only players to translate as an successful FS.
