Twins agreed to terms with RHP Scott Baker on a four-year, $15.25 million contract with a club option for 2013.
The option year, which would cover his first year of free agency, is worth $9.25 million. Just two years ago, Baker appeared to be on the way out of Minnesota. He opened the season in the minors after the team signed Sidney Ponson to start over him. Now the Twins are going to start him on Opening Day this year after he went 11-4 with a 3.45 ERA in 2008.
