Dirk, KG, or TMac...
Someone big (rebounds), good handles, nice d, and a good shot.
Basically take out any PG or C in the league, cuz they won't cut it.

AI or Kobe, cuz they got the dribble and shot, and u need dribble to knock down 3 defenders on u, or u can just take the shot, sure there are others, but i think these are the best

21 is all about speed, and a good free throw.
AI or kobe obviously.

have you guys ever even played 21?!?!?!?!?!
When's the last time a SF/C/PF type of player won in an = skill game? NEVER.
Its always some small PG or SG.

Sf are probably suited best to 21....
Think about it....Shawn Marion style...
KG is really a 3 in a 4's body...
same with Dirk.....
Timmy D is just the king of fundamentals which is the key in this game....you should know....
Tmac and kobe would be clearly my picks as they both do it ALL....
by the way Jolts....who would you have.....PENNY HARDAWAY!!!

the only sf in the history of the game I would take for 21 is MJ :)

Technically Jordan isn't a SF he's a shooting guard. He only played SF because he put on more muscle and Stack was playing the 2 spot.
In "21" I would have to run with Ray Allen all day. Kids got the inside/outside game down and his long range game is second to none.

With free throws being a big factor, maybe John Stockton or Steve Nash will be the best. It really matters in the format of the game, if you can "go out" from the line a good free shot shooter can win with only scoring a couple of defended shots. But maybe they will let you check up after three or more are made.

so jolts...you wouldnt take Scottie pip or Grant Hill.....or Larry Bird....
heck those 3 would probably be in the top 10 21 players ever....
believe....
and who would you take..AI, he wouldnt get a rebound......
and freethrows dont matter.....anyone but shaq or big ben will do...

last time I checked, MJ played SF his whole career, so dont tell me he's not one. He's just not a conventional SF.
In 21 you can grab rebounds(at least in rl) without being tall. It's all about the speed and who can make those baskets. AI baby.

did you just say MICHEAL JORDAN played small forward most of his career.....
WTF?
And scottie played at centre...and Luc Longley at the point....
dude ya better check that one.....real quick and I cant see AI beatin tmac @ 21.....AI's quickness is full court....not half which 21 is played on....
peace bud....juz check ya facts....especially when ya talkin the GOAT....

Angel... he obviously doesn't know what he's talking about...
Do we really need to argue about whether or not MJ was a SG with this guy?
I don't think we have to say much... cuz the more he talks... the dumber he looks...
Here... I'll give you a little help on this one Jolt...
:o HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SCOTTIE PIPPEN?! :o

to add on to when i said kobe and Iverson, i would have to say Starbury, Steve Francis.....and to the peeps pickin pf and sf, like the dude said earlier, its all about speed, dribble, and a shot, so Tim Duncan would suck in a 21, KG may be aight, but he won't match up to Shooting guards

.
In the Triangle offense, there is only 1 position marker and that's PG. The reason for this is that any player can be at any position at any given time. Why is it that you saw Luke Longley out on the wing alot and Jordan posted up on players like Hersey Hawkins during the Seattle series, or John Starks during the Conf. finals. Hawkins and starks were both SG's not SF. You might need to look at some basketball cards or better yet pop in a video game prior to him signing for Wash.

I think the best 21 players will be:
1. Michael Jordan
2. Dr. J
3. Larry Byrd
4. T-Mac
5. Kobe Bryant
6. Dominique
7. Dirk
Reason? In 21 you need to be able to rebound, you need to be able to swat the ball, you have to be able to shoot and you need to be quick to the basket for a fast, hard dunk. Those guys can do that. Sorry AI fans...

In all honesty 21 is a game of who is just having a good day and who isn't. I've seen little dudes win games of 21 and I've seen big dudes win games of 21. You guys are listing contributing factors like it's a mission to Mars or something. It's basketball, and anyone can win at any given time.
Oscar Robertson would be one of the top 3 all-time players if you wanted to base it off of your so called factors, and so would Magic.

21 is basically and 1 streetball without all the moves, so ya'll basing it on how many rebounds somebody averaged or wateva, if u wanna be nasty in a real 21, u have to have dribble, hops, and speed
and have ya'll ever though that some of those nba players who averaged 15 boards a game, half of the boards came right in their hands, players have no skill in rebounding unless they actually raised up from behind someone who had a better chance in gettin the ball.
ps. free throws isn't all a big factor, cuz i've won plenty of 21s and missed almost half my free throws, free throws is just somethin extra to help u win

u know, i think it doesnt depend on rating, i think if u have skillz, u can play with someone with a 60 rating, Don't mean to sound cocky, but i remember back when i had 2k2 for dc, my cousin was way betta than me, and he alwayz beat me. I thought it was cuz he had a great team, but he could beat me with the nuggets or grizzles, but then i realized its just how he played. After a while, i was nasty too. I could play with the Bulls(2k2) and take them to the championship, and as long as ur good at releasing ur shot right, u can win any game. Its a matter of getting the open space. Watch, when i get espn, and get used to the game, i will master it and be able to play with the sorriest man u can think of. See, that's why i like 2k series, its more about stragety. U have to learn how to pass the rock and set plays, and don't alwayz try to get the main man like AI or Kobe to dribble the defender out and finish wit a fancy layup. Even though it'll risk Kobe having 15 points less than someone like Fox, if u win the game, U STRAIGHT!. Feel me?

Garnett, obviously the best. He's got speed and handles to keep up with the little guys. He's got an inside and outside shot. He dominates rebounding, he can block shots, and he can dunk on anybody. Best all-around player in the game.
