We are going to try something new for The Bigs 2 that, if successful, should be a new way of us getting information out to you about game features. Basically, I am opening up this thread and will answer questions for you as I know them. Feel free to game features and other things pertaining to The Bigs 2. Thanks!

Hi there, does this mean there is a possibility of a PAL (Australia) compatible version of The Bigs 2 for XBoX 360!!!!
I love the Bigs and MLB 2ks, and its a real shame they are not widely available here in Australia. I resort to buying my games from online stores that have an NTSC-J version that works. Also a shame was that MLB 2K9 was not region free or compatible with my PAL Xbox 360.
I was happy to see, however, that NBA 2K9 was region free!

You can play co-op (or vs) in Home Run Pinball . You can play quick game offline co-op (2vcpu or 2v2) in all skus except DS. You can play co-op quick game online (2v2) on PS3 and 360 but only in non-ranked games.

It’s a standard single season mode for a sports game. However, Become a Legend mode takes place over the course of several years.

Not in the way I think you mean this. But you can bring created players onto any of the teams, including online (unranked of course).

Australia's date has not been confirmed quite yet. Asia will be getting it on July 7th however.

Seeing as you've had some time to play this game for the commercial, maybe you could give us some of your initial thoughts on it?

- Overall, from what I have seen the graphics have been greatly improved. Do you
agree with this?

- Is the crowd more involved with the game giving it that intense energy that MLB 2K9
should have had?

- Does the gameplay feel more evolved and refined from the last iteration of the game
or is it much more the same as before?

- Finally, are the mini-games as fun and unique as they appear to be in the short
glimpses that we have seen?

If you can't answer these questions do to any contractual obligations I completely understand. I'm very interested in this game and can't wait to give it a try, so any info that you are able to share at all is always much appreciated. Thanks.

Absolutely nothing hidden about this game, I said I would answer everything.

The graphics and gameplay are quite dramatically improved and look amazing. The video from the trailers are footage directly from the game. You'll see some things in this game you just won't see anywhere else.

The mini-games are were it is at. Running the tight pipe to train up, wind sprints in become a legend mode, etc. on top of the obvious Home Run Pinball, going to town on the Red Monster, just so much going on.

The crowd is solid, though different than MLB 2K9. I think this skews more on the arcade side, but you'll still know about intense situations as they present themselves.

You guys are in for a major treat. I am sure anyone who tries this game and goes into it with an expectation of what we're trying to accomplish, just a bigger than baseball look at the game, is going to be a long time fan.

Are there more homerun animations this time? I know in the first Bigs the homeruns got a little stale (bouncing off the foul pole repeatedly, etc.)

Thanks for answering my questions Ron. I'm sure as time passes I'll have some more. Is it sad that a 30 year old stay-at-home Dad of 3 little girls is so pumped about this game? I hope not, because from what I've seen there is something different for everyone to take away from this game when they play it. I'm looking for a fun experience that does'nt require a ton of time put into it if I don't want to. However, on the other hand it looks like this game has a bunch of depth to it for those who might want to play a little more "hardcore" than the rest of us. Either way I'll be one of the first in line to get this game. :thumbsup:

How linear will the career mode be? Will it be like you have to hit four home runs the next ten games and you're out of a career or rather like if you don't achieve our goals we'll trade you or you'll stay in the minors for a longer time? Can you actually fail in Legend Mode?

Oh, and could you tell us about 2K's decision about whether to do an international release as soon as there is one? (I would need to know about a European release or a region-free release somewhere...

It's quite sophisticated with career mode, you can definitely fail and go a bunch of paths. Trying to put together some more footage of it so you should be able to see for yourself somewhat soon.

I'm almost positive I know what the answer is, but me and my friends can still play 2v2 exhibition games right? The only reason I'm asking this is because the xbox marketplace has players labeled as only 1-2 players in The Bigs 2.

your friend will throw the first pitch, and the remaining 3 will be automatic. It's designed to be 4 pitches in rapid succession, so it wouldn't really work if he had to throw all 4 pitches manually.

Whoopsie. I read this wrong. You can pitch manually for the big blast, but you can not pitch manually after the first pitch on the big slam. Sorry, hope that resolves any confusion.

the Wii version has virtually all of the same features as 360 and PS3. Regular exhibition, pick up game, become a legend mode, season mode, home run pinball, and 4 minigames. :thumbsup:

yes, standard player stats are tracked.

roster updates are planned. I don't know how frequent they will be, but they'll definitely happen.

camera angle is not adjustable. trust me though, the more you play the more you'll get used to it. I definitely noticed it at first but now it feels natural and right for this type of game.

So what's the deal with rosters and or roster updates?

A friend of mine with a review copy noted some especially outdated and worrisome rosters, noticeably the White Sox. Starting LF Scott Podsednik and starting 3B Gordon Beckham aren't even in the game, and in their place you have Brent Lillibridge and Wilson Betemit who both have been in AAA for near 2 months and won't be called up anytime in the near future. Will issues like these be remedied or should I hold off my purchase?

Like Mayor said, there will be roster updates. How many and when/how often are still a little up in the air but those sort of players will get placed on the team.

How come if your opponent quits in a ranked game at any point, the game doesn't count? I was just playing a ranked game and I was up 6-3 in the last inning and right after I struck him out for the last out of the game it instantly said, "Connection to your Opponent Lost" so he obviously quit after the game was over and it didn't give me a win. Did he even get a penalty for quitting?

I have a question regarding rosters in Become a Legend. Every time I try to add a 3rd position player to the Yankees(my team), Mark Teixiera is dropped from my roster and Hideki Matsui, a natural outfielder, is put at 1st base. Why is Teixiera dropped instead of inferior players like Matsui or Brett Gardner?

Second! Let's get the CURRENT jerseys teams ACTUALLY wear NOW before we focus on a 1950s Cincinnati Reds uniform nobody nobody cares about.

Had it been the other way around (unlockable current alternates present but no historic jerseys) I don't think the backlash would even exist. So...thanks, in a way, for the old school stuff, but huge demerits for being too lazy to include a ridiculously basic feature.

1.) Will roster updates also feature ratings updates for hot/slumping players, i.e. David Ortiz and Magglio Ordonez having bad seasons or Edwin Jackson and Justin Verlander having superb seasons (Sorry to use so many Tigers examples, not just lobbying for their upgraded stats just know that team best as a fan).

2.) Will the roster updates/a future patch add position players to the "Other Stars" team? I like messing around with different line-up changes to mimic the way the season progresses and this prevents that without sending position players to wrong teams or simply creating players.

Because it's the PS2 lol... unless you get a Next Gen console all you can expect are basic upgrades, but nothing substantial like the 360/PS3 versions :)

They didn't really, they just updated The Bigs (original) with some minor upgrades like rosters, new menus, and then they sold it as "The Bigs 2"

Is there going to be a way to use the legends and superstars from become a legend mode? It would be awesome to use them in pick-up games. I was kinda disappointed after spending all that time beating every one of them, especially babe ruth, and realizing that I don't get to play as them. Love the game!!

Is there going to be an update where we can play pick-up games versus other people on xbox live? I would love to play it on xbox live. It would make the game much more enjoyable, plus with legends involved, if that happens. I would never take the game out of my xbox!! I think the main thing that is needed is to be able to play with the legends. Just imagine having to choose between babe ruth who gives you 100K points per at bad or jackie robinson who gives your whole team +5 speed. It would be so awesome!! Becaues you know you are only getting one of those legends in the pick-up game. I really really really really hope that it will happen. Please take it into consideration 2k sports. Best baseball game ever, thanks 2k!!

What are the chances of being able to play in the classic Tiger Stadium in exhibition games? I was very disappointed to see that you guys took the time and effort to recreate the thing, but only have it for one hitting challenge that I cannot even repeat.
