Do you play with hurry up baseball turned on? What do you like/dislike about it?

I use hurry up exclusively as games take too long with too much dead time otherwise. I'd rather play more games than have the extra effects. There are a couple of enhancements I'd like to see with hurry up:
I often can't tell when a reliever has been brought in by the other team
I'd like to see some stats for batters and who they are when they come to the plate
I'd like some indication of mound visits

I enjoy all the presentation offline has to offer I do not skip thru one thing. I think there should be a USER'S choice option for this ONLINE instead of it taken out all togeather. If someone is inpatient let them push a button and skip thru it but for gamers like myself that want to enjoy the presentation we should be able to watch it all.

I'd use it if 2K9 hadn't removed the feature to see player stats while batting/pitching. At least with hurry up off you get to see your player stats during their first at bat

@antbogey: Hilarious. And accurate.
To answer the question: No. I might if it was more viable from a strategy standpoint (ie being able to tell who's batting, etc.), because it takes longer than it should without hurry up, but its not playable in franchise if you care at all about realism or strat. I also think that it bears pointing out in this thread that the franchise mode is still seriously flawed and pretty unplayable, hurry-up or not. I'm a little surprised that the question was even asked, honestly. Hurry-up baseball or not, my pitchers still don't gain a lick of stamina on off days. I think that's a bigger issue.

Suggestion to improve that feature or to add things: I play with it the entire time but I'd like to watch the highlights and the post game commentary: problem is: that gets cut almost all the time in this mode:
maybe you can give options to turn on/off the following
- introduction
- animations of walking up to the plate/ catcher throwing balls back to the pitcher
- highlights
or more... I want the commentary to continue, I just don't care about batters walking to the plate and doing their signature style too much...

Having the option is great. I play with it on/off depends on time available, whether I'm playing a new team or at a new stadium, etc.
I would like to see [1] pitcher/batter name, and [2] what they've done for today. Ex: 1B Albert Pujols, 2-2, HR 2RBI. As an overlay.
Anything else is going to crowd the screen and/or take too long to load. I know people want all the information/overlays AND hurry up baseball, that's like wanting to be wet/dry at the same time.

Hurry up baseball is great, especially when playing with a friend. I wish it were customizable though because there are things I want to speed up and things I want to watch.

i play with hurry-up off, but am a big fan of being able to hit a button to manually hurry through things i may not want to wait through at that time. you guys did a good job with this aspect.

i think you guys should do a feature like the show has were you can have the option to skip an inning or skip a half inning or skip to an inning . it be a lot better!

I play the PC version and use hurry up, because of the time that it takes to play the regular play. I have no interest playing online. The only thing I miss is the homerun trott.

I like checking the display that appears when a batter starts his AB. (Avg, stats for the day) Other than that, it would be great.

I like that the option is there, but alot of baseball it lost when your not watching replays and contemplating situations and matchups.

I voted No on this poll because when I use it, it doesn't feel right. I turn it off, but usually hurry through the intros and things manually.

I use hurry up baseball, because I feel that the tempo of the game is too slow without it. Who needs to wait for the pitcher to get the ball back, among other things...
