Do you use the default cameras? If changed, what are your preferred cameras?

I pitch with 7-1-6 and hit with 2-8

I zoom in more on both hitting and pitching. In both situations I like the players to take up as much of the screen as possible. When hitting I zoom in as much as possible while still leaving the plate in the screen. I think it is an 8 or a 9.

Personally, I can't stand the default camera's. They are too far back and give the feeling that there is no catcher, it's just kind of weird feeling.

As far as fielding goes. I do not like the default camera they chose this year and was suprised there were no other options...kind of the worst of both worlds as far as fielding goes.

I really like all the camera options.

However, we need camera options for the fielding too and we need to be able to save the settings.

I use the default cameras but don't like doing so. I just got tired of having to set them every time. I left hitting at default but zoomed all the way in on pitching and (10) and tried to get a more straight on view (position 1).

PITCHING:
-Overall, bravo. Good TV-style broadcast view. (Other than the annoying pitch ring and the comically-large ball marker, I like it). Keep the view. Shrink the ball.

BATTING:
-Camera too distant; Zoom in
-Eliminate (or allow the elimination of) the bottom scroller showing game scores. Distracting. (When you zoom in, the scroller overlaps the plate)

FIELDING:
-No complaints. I like it.

Hitting: 1 / 8 / pitch zoom on
Pitching: 3 / 5 / 4

the fielding cameras are pretty good, for the most part. one major concern with ALL baseball games is the transition between the pitching camera and the fielding camera(s). MAKE SURE if a ball is put in play, it looks as if it will be coming out of the pitching camera the same place it will end up in the fielding camera(s). make sure those angles/trajectories are consistent.

in 2k9, there is a bit of inconsistency most of the time (especially on infield ground balls).

also be absolutely certain to allow camera settings to be saved after the game is quit. having to reset camera options every time i start up the game should not have to happen.

Pitching I play with full zoom for more precision in pitching. I'm not sure why you wouldn't. It's 10,4,3 and I keep the camera on the right. Batting I tilt it down 1 notch so I can see the Batting Avg on the scoreboard at Miller Park.

I use the default. Mainly because the rest of them arent that different and the game likes to forget the setting and change it back to default anyway next time you load the game. Would be nice to have more camera angles for fielding as well.

I switch the pitching angle to "Right". I don't like the camera angle on the left side for left handed pitcers.

I think I voted for yes, but it's a no for me now... for batting I use Zoom 3 and Height 9... it's a shame I can't save my preferences :(

Hit: 10-8

Pitch: 10-3-3

On a side note, on my 360, every time I turn it on and go into my franchise and fire up a game, I have to reset my camera settings (even though I saved them from the last game). SO ANNOYING!

I use the Default cameras.

I have one problem. If I my baserunner gets caught in a pickle after my batter hits the ball in play I can't see the base that my runner is headded toward because the camera is focused on the current possition of the ball. For instance if I think I can stretch a double out of a single but then decide against it and head back to first I can't see first to see if it's covered at all, only second because that's where the ball is. I think that I should either be able to see both bases or if you want to put a little more reality into a pickoff then I should only be able to see the base that I'm headed toward not the one that I'm running away from. My eyes are in the front of my head not the back.

I'm pretty flexible, but I would definately look into the way Acclaim used FielderCam as an option for fielding views. I still believe it's a great idea, and it's the vein of NFL2K5's First Person View (which still makes that game enjoyable for me). FPV was as real as it gets.

Hey Ron, I was not sure on where to post this suggestion I had in mind for MLB 2k10, but I figured this is the best spot. I think the 2k developers should look into adding a "Dynamic Camera Views" I'll explain; For example, when you are pitching and a ball is hit into the field the user should go after the ball as normal with the standard camera view, but once the fielder takes possesion of the ball it should change to a first person camera view, that way as the position player you can view the entire field, this will also provide a great visual look. To further expand on this, I believe the 2k devs should revisit the idea of adding mutilple camera views during live play such as mlb 2k7, for example you hit a ball into the gap, the camera view will change to a zoomed camera view specifically on the fielder and the ball, then another camera will switch into a view looking at second base as the baserunner slides in to the bag. I believe camera views like these that are implemented correctly would be a great addition visually and for the gameplay itself.

Cameras are one of the couple things this game did right. Loved the adjustment choices. Please add saving camera settings for MLB 2k10 and choice of fielding cameras.
