Do you use quick throw/hold ball (LT and RT) when throwing? What do you like/dislike about those features?

I use it a lot while fielding ball hit in the infield, trouble is it doesn't always seem to give me the quick throw I'm looking for.

Overall I like the feature, just needs to be tuned.

I use the quick throw and was excited about the inclusion of it this year, but didn't like the execution. Instead of a way to make a realistic, quick, rushed, risky throw, it turned into a way to make superhuman unrealistic throws. I was hoping this would be used only for plays in which time was of the essensce, a dive, a jump throw, a quick double play turn on a speedy runner or just on a slow grounder and a speedy runner. It would be a rushed throw, but a reaslitic one.

Instead, I see players making throws that are humanly impossible...A catcher fields a groundball in front of the plate and while running towards second, makes a perfect throw to bullet throw to first, even though he is running directly in a line towards second.

The idea was great, but the executuion is just off. There are ceratin mechanics that have to be made to make a throw and it seems the quick throw just kind of skips them instead of speeding them up.

Ex: On a routine groundball from a normal runner a fielder will field the ball, shuffle his feet, get set and make a calm throw. On that same ball with Ichiro, the runner will field the ball and in one motion step and throw. It's still mechanically the same throw only more rushed and without the timing of shuffling the feet or pumping the ball into his glove.

I've used the quick throw, but never the hold ball. The quick throw implementation has worked fine for me.

Never use it. Starting the throw (pushing right stick toward the base) before you catch the ball works just fine and without the risk of an error.

The green marker on quick throws is too big. It's too easy to make a good throw.

I use it but its kinda meh. Dont really notice it being anything great. Now bare handing a slow roller or double play ball would be cool.

It would help to have RT work also as a "fake-throw". Like in a pickle, fake the throw, and maybe the runner will jump

A lot times it doesn't work. You use it yet the fielder a lot of times takes his sweet ole' time to throw the ball.

I use quick throw everytime I throw the ball now. It started out as a way to get the throws quicker but it doesn;t really work that great but now it's just a habit. I can;t throw w/o using it. As for hold ball, it helps when I throw to the wrong base by accident.

Its outa here!!

I like both of them because in the run downs hold ball messes alot of people up and quick throw if you get a good hop on the ball you can gun some1 out for the outfeild

i like the quick throw concept, except sometimes it just looks so unrealistic. like on a double play turn at second base, when you use the quick throw sometimes the player just rips the ball over to first totally flatfooted and shortarmed. not everyone is jimmy rollins or robinson cano. also, if you use the quick throw with a ball in the hole with someone like dere jeter, it should do his trademark jump and throw. i think it works great with outfielders, though.

the hold throw doesnt do anything really. it would be better if it were a pumpfake, as mentioned before by someone else, like in a rundown it would be useful.
