Pros: Punishment for trying to hit a pitch the wrong way, realistic results for influence based on location and type of pitch, still possible to get power on the ball without the stick, easier to control than last year's influence system.
Cons: Stick may have a little too much impact on the direction of hit
Suggestions: Make it slightly easier to hit balls out of strike zone away if the stick is pointed that way

Pros: Like that you can try to place the ball. Great for getting the sac fly or hit and run.
Cons: This should be a separate stat. Situational hitting stat. There are some great roll players on the bench that should be pinch hitting to do this. Like Matt Stairs or Craig Counsil.

Suggestions: I think this is a good point. The swing stick should make the user actually go with the pitches. If you try to pull an outside pitch you should hit the ball out in front and weakly off the end of the bat. If you try to hit a pitch that is inside to the opposite field you should get jammed and not hit the pitch as well. The game already does this to a very light degree but it should be more pronounced so that it makes the game more realistic and more challenging (I know you've heard the hitting is too easy in 2k9 and this would really be a way too help), I really hope you take this advice from someone who plays college baseball as well as 2k baseball.
