Pros: I really love the depth of the stadiums and the details of them as far as looking realistic.

Cons: There are small details that are overlooked. For instance in the ballpark in arliington, the right field side it has the stadium as being open to where you can see the street outside through the stands. You cant, this park is completly closed. Also there needs to be stadium animations and fireworks and a feel of excitment in each stadium. I mean hitting a homerun and not seeing the bell sway is kinda a bum factor for me.

Suggestions: PLease get stadium layouts for each team and get it accurate right down to the minut detail. Also watch games or just add fireworks, specific animations to each stadium. Crowds need to be in it more. Chants and such is a plus always.

Fix the advertising in places there aren't advertising in the real life ball park.

Most details seem to be there but all of the colors are a little off, or a little pale.. Make the stadium colors more realistic

Not every park has fireworks after a homerun.

Score boards need numbers and the TV screens need to be a little more realistic

Stadiums: Rangers ballpark in arlington also has a problem with the wall, The left field wall is much higher than the rest of the stadium but every other part of the wall is the same size. In the game where the away bullpen is the wal is about half as short as the center & right field wall so if you hit a ball in the gap it goes into the bullpen for a ground rule double when it should just bounce off the wall.

Pros: none i can think of off of the top of my head.

Cons: really ugly, a lot of stadiums messed up, retractable roof stadiums are either always opened or always close.

Suggestions for improvement: more detail, don't eff up the stadiums, have the outfield wall scoreboards actually display scores even if they are just made up ones (its so creepy when they are blank) have the option to either closer or open retractable roof stadiums. (I'd like to put for the record their are many games played at miller park where the outfield panels are opened and the roof is closed, have yet to play a game where that's an option though, and it would be way cool to put in options to open or close the panels)
Also, bring back the specific stadium celebrations for homeruns, like Bernie slideing down the slide or the apple in New York or the train in houston.

umm whats the throw-up like color on the walls in Rogers Centre? there are supposed to be electronic scoreboards there, i think...

also, in many stadiums, there is WAY too much room between the walls and where the fans sit. it's as if the each aisle is bigger than the sections it is next to

stadium: Fenway Park
the seats in centerfield are only supposed to be covered during DAY games, not both. the seats should be filled with ppl during NIGHT games...not sure if this would be possible for a video game though

uniforms: uniforms look good overall, except that the "alternate" and "cool base" jerseys looks as if they are like glistening. its really weird to look at, therefore i refuse to wear these jerseys...btw, i've noticed this on multiple teams

Pros: Attention to detail is not necessarily my specialty so with that in mind I thought the stadiums looked pretty nice but at the same time I've seen some mods created by people for the PC version that look amazing!

Cons: I can't really point out anything that hasn't been already.

Suggestions: I would love to see a stadium creator added and would love to see a little more accuracy in the design of the current stadiums. I also wouldn't mind the ability to play in old school ballparks.

Pros:
The models are looking better, I like the direction you are going. The oarks look big, which is a good thing. Lighting is nice too.

Cons:
Many small details that make the parks unique should be addressed

Suggestions:
Improve all scoreboards to to have more that just player picture. Example, show animations like Strike Out, Base on Balls, etc. like you seen in some parks.
Add line scores, stats, to big score boards etc.
Add scores to out of town scoreboards
Review and Fix all wall distances. For example, Petco Park had the right center wall moved in and it still shows 411
Add Tony Gywnn statue to Petco Park

The uniforms are wrong almost 70 % of the time. I dont know how anyone can say they are good. read the threads it is an easy fix please do it so I do not have to buy a PS3. To me it would be like making a ford or chevy guy buy a toyota. please do not make me buy a toyota, let me ride on the silver mountain. You like that one ronnnie.

You need to play with someone other than the royals before you make a comment like that. Try the Athletics or Twins and tell me the jerseys look good. They are so wrong this game should not be allowed to use them it should be a violation of the licensing agreement.

Yeah, the jerseys really need a lot of work. Could you please make it so we CAN wear some teams colored alt's both home and away. Lots of teams do that like the Mets, Angels, Cubs, well basically half the teams probably that wear colored alts.

Also is there anyway to add on all the stuff back to editing plus like 2 sets of accessories. One for home and one for away. And I don't know if this is possible, but it'd be cool if they got some new shoes....like I said don't know if that's even possible like Nike or somethin.

Cloth simulation would be nice. This year the uniforms looked a little like they were "ironed on".

The Nationals alternate uniforms nameplate text needs to be fixed. In this year's game they're blue and red respectively, and almost impossible to read. The actual color for the nameplate text is white for both.

Pros:you have all the mlb teams

Cons: Please make these stadiums come to life! The lskies in night games needs to be BLACK! The lighting needs to be very much improved. I want to see PGR4 type cities in the outfield in PNC park. They still look horrible and last gen.

Suggestions for improvement: Make the buildings and stadiums come to life.

Stadiums should have correct features, like the bell ringing in Philly when someone hits a homerun, or the apple coming up from Citi Field.
Also, stadiums should give boosts to player's attributes.
Like Ameriquest Field in Arlington should give hitters an attribute boost since the ball carries well in Texas, and some stadiums should boost pitchers attributes.
Also, it would be nice if mascots would be added.

Pros: The Parks Are Semi Accurate.

Cons: My biggest Con on 2K9 since I am a Red Sox fan is obviously Fenway Park. The color of the walls and such is a way too bright green. The score board on the Monster is always blank, there are never any updates on the standings board and the out of town score board is blank as well. The triangle, as mentioned earlier, is supposed to have a tarp on it during day games due to Batters Eye issues and it is supposed to be open during night games. Also, there is a new display board right above the triangle to the right of the monster. I can't really speak on other parks other than the Ballpark in Arlington because I don't really go to other parks, but if things like these were fixed throughout the game I think that the enjoyment and realism of the game would skyrocket.

Ok heres your format.

Pros: You made a game for xbox 360

negatives: Every team has wrong jersey combinations. see my uniforms thread or message me and I will be happy to correct all your mistakes. The stadiums also took a huge step backwards and you eliminated all the gimicks of them and the reasons your previous titles were nice. You kicked me directly in the privates this year 2k and I will remember it in the future.

CONS: Rangers Ballpark in Arlington as stated above there is no wall cutout next to the leftfield 14ft wall, also the 14ft wall scoreboard is now digital a full digital screen.

There are also new seats added behind the plate and around the dugout that has cut down on the foul territory.

The wall behind the plate wrapping around to the dugouts is also now brick.

Theres a Texas "T" logo in the rangers bullpen.

And digital ribbon scoreboards added to the facades around the stadium.

Pros-good current selection
Cons-could use more classic jerseys
Suggestions- The Rockies need a black jersey with a black undershirt. You have two black jerseys with a purple undershirt.

Pros: Very realistic and great detail.

Cons: Better music.. the music needs to be like real ballpark music.. for example get rid of the organ add more pop.

The New Yankee Stadium walls are a darker blue as well as the seats.

May 9th, 2009, 07:21 AM
Reseach this years games to see what uniform combinations teams wear. Do not just go by a guide you receive from the MLB. For example the White Sox wear their black alternate jersey on the road with their gray road pants more than they wear their gray jersey with their gray pants. The Cubs also wear their blue alternate jersey on the road. The majority of the teams wear their alternate jersey on the road.

I think what this basically shows is, that the numbers should be on the upper back, not in the middle of the back, and probably bigger for some teams' uniforms.

Pros: Improved crowd graphics. Nice looking stadiums for the most part.

Cons: The little things of the stadiums were overlooked. For example, the Brewer mascot sliding down his slide every time a Brewer player hits a homerun, the liberty bell at the phillies stadium going off after a homerun, etc. You can even go as far as incorporating mascots into the game.

Suggestions for improvement: Go over every stadium again with a fine toothed comb and bring in all the small details which includes animations for the individual park after the home team hits a home run. Also possibly incorporate the mascots into the game. Also the crowd needs to sound more into the game. This crowd just lacks that roar you would hear at a sold out game.

Pros: Great selection of Alternates, I think. Stadiums feel pretty good.

Cons: Some staidums have to many ads, but you get used to it.
Nationals Park's Left Field wall is WAY TO HIGH
Nationals away lettering and color outlining is wrong

Suggestions: Do some research on the Nationals Stadium and get the left field wall to appropriate height. It is about the same size as the bullpen wall.

Cons: The triple twill logo crest on the chest, names and numbers have the wrong colors. Sgould be Blue on Orange on Black on the white unis. It is wrong and should be fixed.

Cons: Mets outfield wall is black wuth an orange homerun line and orange foul poles.

Somebody didn't do thier homework.

Pros: I can't say much for the other teams as I only play as Boston, but they have the correct home/away/alternate jerseys and the dimensions of Fenway as well as the park itself look pretty realistic.

Cons: The uniforms themselves do not look as good as in MLB2K8, due to lack of wind effect and the uniforms had better options such as the ability to be baggy. The B and the hanging sox on the hats are too big and just look silly. If a player is wearing two batting gloves, there shouldn't be a third one hanging out of his back pocket.

Suggestions:
For Uniforms - do like the real MLB teams do and have special uniforms for special days. Give the player the option of selecting a player to wear the number 42 on Jackie Robinson Day. Let the players wear pink ribbons and have pink gear on Mothers Day/breast Cancer awareness day. Even put the ribbons on the field too. Maybe special ones for Earth Day like they did this year too. I'm sure there are others that I'm forgetting too. And have the announcers comment on the change in uniforms too. Also perhaps have the option of creating a new uniform using a combination of all the teams past uniforms/logos/lettering.
For Stadiums, mostly Fenway since it's the only one I frequent enough - get more sponsors besides Majestic, State Farm, and 2K Sports. Here's a thought. Offer free advertising to the companies that already have ads in the real stadium. Use companies that want to pay for advertising and put them in the boxes behind home plate that the pitcher faces and use them to sponsor the lineups, gamebreaks and pitching changes, and even the scoreboard graphic displayed at the end of each inning. This way these will still be the ones that the gamers see the most, but the stadium won't be overrun with 500 advertisements for 3 companies. If you're not happy with that then create a slew of fictitious companies that users can "sponsor" themselves for extra ballpark revenue.
Put more cameras in the camera boxes with actual cameramen behind them; you figured out a way to make the fans lifelike, so why not make photographers? Have the two people that sit on either side of 3rd/1st base to go shag foul balls instead of making the fielders running for them. Even animate them to get up and move their stools when a fair ball comes their way. Like many people have stated, put the scores from other games on the scoreboard. Since you can look at the box scores of other games just, as a template, put the score from that game up and each time the inning changes the score can change to reflect the change in the other games, if any. It's not as realistic as real-time update but it's a heck of a lot better than a blank scoreboard (2K8 at least had scoreboards with fake scores). Also for Fenway, put the standings as the season reflects them. Have the ball/strike indicators on the Green Monster light up in accordance with the count, and put the number of the player at bat up as well. Again, adds to realism; you display info on the centerfield scoreboard so you could easily put a number in the box. Occasionally the prudential building writes "Go Sox" on it by turning various lights on. That would be a nice touch from time to time. Also, go back to the entrance from 2K8 where you showed the outside of the ballparks too. That would give it a more realistic feel as well. Have the option for franchise modes to build additions to ballparks or new ones as well. Offer re-location to new cities and tv contracts to add revenue opportunities. As an easter egg you could even have a person run onto the field every now and then and get tackled by security and have the crowd go wild when he's tackled (and even have a company sponsor the replay of him getting leveled by a security guard). Try to have stadium specific music. The fact that you can create your own playlist is great but it would be a lot easier if you could download a teams music (i.e. walk-up/entrance music, ballpark music that plays before, during, and after a game with both win/loss music that is stadium specific) With all the songs that are out and available for games like rockband, I'm sure it wouldn't be a big problem to get permission to use the songs. And once you've downloaded the songs that the player uses you can re-use the songs for created players. Also try to get as many songs per player that they used in the previous year so it's not just one song playing each time they come up, or at least give the option of adding additional songs to the list by the user.

Pros:
I think the stadiums look great. Some more historic ball parks would be cool. Bringing Shea Stadium would be great!

Cons:
I would just like to see more time spent getting the uniforms acurate. My only complaint with the game is that something as simple as accurate uniforms, does not seem to ever happen.

Suggestions:
Just a little more attention to detail.

Note: I'm only going to reference Fenway Park as I know more "little things" about it compared to other parks. I guess some points may be universal to all other parks, though.

Pros:
*More of a city feel behind the stadiums

Cons:
*Color of walls - needs to be a darker green
*Tarp in center field stands - only for day games
*Tarp down the first base line - doesn't look much like a tarp
*Right field wall is too tall - from Pesky's pole all the way around the corner and to the bullpen - should be about waist high down by pesky's pole and just under chest high at the bullpen (for average sized player)
*Railing too tall in triangle - sits right on the edge of the sox bullpen - should meet the height of the bullpen wall.
*Stands are too steep - Imagine drinking some beers then having to walk down those steep steps. If stands remain steep in 2k10, please add animation of drunk guy falling down the steps around the seventh inning stretch, haha.
*Ballparks seem smaller than they should be.
*Dark skies could have better details

Suggestions:
*Pop 2k9 in and go to a replay. Pull up some pictures of Fenway Park on the Internet and do some comparing. Overall the park in the game isn't that bad, but when your commercial states, "The Major Leagues down to the minor details," then this can only help for 2k10.

I would love if you could incorporate the HR ratio of a stadium.

For instance...if it's a pitchers park...have HR's be harder to hit and a lot of hard hit fly balls die in the OF.

In a hitters park...have the ball have extra flight, so more HR's are hit

Also take into consideration day games, night games, wind currents, etc. For example...in April and early May...it should be hard to hit a HR at Wrigley for the majority of the games.

In the day at Busch in June-August...the ball should have some extra "umph" behind it when it's hit in the air on hot days.

As for uniforms...would love to see you be able to add the Cardinals powder blue jerseys next year. Those are sweet and should replace the 1900's jerseys

Pros: dimensions are mostly accurate for the ballparks, General Motors home run fountain

Cons: State Farm ad/building at Wrigley, giant left field wall at Nationals Park, Casey Jones Express?, Home Run Apple? etc.

Suggestions: It would really help the immersion of the game if you had authentic ballpark specific home run animations. For example in Philadelphia, you can hear the bell toll, but you don't actually see it swing. That would be nice to see for next year

Pros:
For the most part the stadiums look good. Uniforms are decent.

Cons:
Not many uniforms to choose from compared to past years MLB games, can't unlock any old uniforms or stadiums, scoreboards look terrible and don't update stats during game, stats in general are broken "216 AL MVP", stadium surroundings like buildings aren't good looking and make the game look bad, the flags look horrific like from a playstation 1 game, team logos look bad in the scorebox at top of screen.

Suggestions: Make unlocks for more uniforms(New York Giants, Philadelphia A's etc...) Fix the scoreboards all around, update scores. Also the hometown scoreboard should all have different looks on the screen and not the same at every stadium...plus the stats don't even update anymore after each at bat for the player...shows players stats going into that game for the entire game....well in my game at least... Fix the stats they show when batter comes to bat, I get a lot of 216 stats... instead of 2009 MVP it says 216 MVP...buildings and stadium surroundings need better textures and need to look more realistic...flags are just terrible, make the flags look like a real USA flag waving in the wind, not a terrible textured square moving...make better looking team logos for the scorebox at top of screen. Have unique animations for each stadium...(apple raising at mets stadium, fans waving huge oakland a's fans over the wall in left, the train in houston, my biggest suggestion that i want to see is a splash hit animation for at&t park, sick of all the games having water that balls bounce off of....have a splash hit cam animation like the real splash hit cam at at&t park...nothing better than to see a splash hit in a video game and see the water cannons go off in right field...especially if tim lincecum is your cover man....atleast make his field the most realistic lol....mascots as well would be cool to see once in awhile in the stands when a foul ball is hit...)

PROS: I thought this season was a great FIRST step. When you consider that the game was made available for PC users, of which I am one, and on fairly short notice, I applaud 2k. I thought the detail on stadiums, players, and fans were terrific but far from perfect. So, 2k, I personally expect a lot more from you with mlb2k10.

CONS: In general, everything about this game seems hurried to me. But they were hurried in a way with a short deadline after getting the rights so late. But that won't be an excuse for 2k10.

SUGGESTIONS: I could write a novella here, but I won't. Basically it's a case of paying attention to detail. As you can tell from all of these posts, fans notice the smallest of things about the game. Honor them by doing the same. I personally would like to see ALL throwback unis for each team dating back to at least 1970. And I would also like to see ALL stadiums for each team dating back to at least 1970. I also would like to see springtraining parks for each team for 2k10. But whatever you do, do not LOCK anything. It's my game and I want everything in it. Just my opinion.

AreYou Kidding me the uniforms are halfway complete on tons of teams. Look at all the complaints that have been posted. Some are really good, but there are tons of hats, helmets, etc. that don't even exist. Atlanta's alt road not even close, NY Mets cool base is not even close, Rockies have purple sleeves and purple hats and helmets. They have never had those! It's BAD! Also the Alternate roads should be put into the game for all the teams that have em, not just a couple. But this thread is a good start. Just do your research a little better. Get the colors right! Like the braves navy blue is way way too light!

Stadium seating needs to look more realistic. In Fenway Park, there are about 10 seats per row when there are actually 26 seats. The isles are like 10 feet wide when they are actually about 2 feet wide. It looks like there are about 2000 people in the stadium compared to what should be about 36,000.

PRO: Visually it's a HUGE improvement overall, compared to 2k8. Massive. Not even close. Good job.

CON: Miller Park has a retractable roof. in 2k9 it has a roof full time, but has -->4<-- TARPS! 4! 2k7 & 8 had it so the roof was open in good weather. It adds variety to playing a full season.

SUGG: Add real weather. Snowouts, rainouts, delays, schedule make up games. Have them affect pitchers correctly.

Thx

Pros: Better overall detail, grass, dirt etc. looks better.

Cons: as noted by others, specific stadium details are wrong. I brought up the fact that the centerfield fountain flags a Comerica Park looked terrible. The flagpoles are way to big, and on the field the path from the mound to home plate was missing. Also, the outline around home plate should be shaped like home plate and not a circle. One more thing, from inside the stadium you cannot see trees on the outside, there are concessions all around the park, it is not see through

Suggestions: Set up a thread much like this and have each team and stadium in it's own thread. That way, people familiar with each park could tell you what needs to be fixed (ie: Detroit Tigers, Comerica Park)

For years the milwaukee brewers in this game havent been showne love

pro: get more sponsors its great

cons: Opition to open n close roofs and panles n milwaukee has a highway behind it and a bridge where u can see people walking to the staduim. bring mascots back the game dosent have any life make scoreboards real if they have leds put leds. crowd has improved a little but 2 outs 2 stikes the crowd stands up a cheers to to see the team strikeout the batter do that and "cold beer here" "get your hotdogs here" comatidors be more indepth not just about last year but tell history about a team and about players have them say ramdom stuff like i could go for a hotdog right about now funny and random stuff thats what they do.also show the players giving high fives at the mound at the end of the game for the winner. show players meeting at home plate for a walk off win jumping up and down put pink bats in for mothers day and usa striped hats for 4th of july 42 on players jesery for jackie robsion day show tradition. it cant be this hard we deserve a great game in 2k10 we have been screwed for years make 2k10 a new start value our opnions we have been there for the highs and lows and lets beat mlb the show for once.

2k should be ashamed for the uniforms. Let me give you an example: my favorite team is the az diamondbacks. The white home jerseys look fine; the black home jerseys look fine; the alternate sedona red jersey is done horribly. First off, its not the right shade of red, its too dark. Secondly, when those jerseys are worn, in the game they have them wearing their black hats(those are only ever worn with black saturday home jersey). Third, when playing on the road, the pants for those alternate jerseys remain white. HOW HARD IS IT TO MAKE IT SO NO MATTER WHAT JERSEY YOU CHOOSE, YOUR PANTS WILL BE GREY WHEN ON THE ROAD AND WHITE WHEN PLAYING AT HOME? shouldnt be that hard. Put some effort into it guys for god's sake.

I understand that there are a lot of glaring issues concerning uniforms and stadiums in this game. And that the current problems should be fixed first and foremost. But one thing that could be added if everything is taken care of is to customize or create a uniform for a team. I think this would be awesome, considering some of the unis created by the guys at mvpmods it would be alot of fun and add a little flare to a franchise. First, I would like to see the current problems taken care of and have all of the real life factors accurate, but an addition of create a uniform that gave the user complete control over script, style, and logos would be fun to me. Also if you could add more options, such as the tigers away jerseys from the eighties and negro league jerseys. Also it would be cool to see the special occasion jerseys such as the american hats for 4th of july, and memorial day. Or the pink bats on mothers day. Just some suggestions. But as I have stated before please make the current unis and stadiums more accurate.

i agree on the modding uniforms.I myself have modded them but we are limited on what we can change.I suggest to make it more possible to place numbers. An example would be the old KC A's had uniform numbers on the sleeves. Also the ability to change batting helmets and the undershirts. Also the ability to choose baggy uniforms like the babe ruth ty cobb days etc to mod some of the older uniforms to look more realistic.

Stadiums:

Pros: For the most part the stadiums and the crowd look pretty good:

Cons: The team logos scrolling across get kind of annoying, especially in ballparks where they are in the batter's view. It would be cool to see them changed up a bit. Also, the staiums seem to be liefeless.

Suggestions: Maybe have some fans walking around or at least standing in the concourses and other places in the stadium where you might see people stand, like Ashburn Alley in Philadelphia. Also, Being able to see the Line Scoreboards and the lineups for each team was a nice touch. I don't know why this ws absent this year.

Uniforms:

Pros: The uniforms are mostly pretty good, and a good variety to choose from.

Cons: Some of the lettering on the uniforms for the last names looks nothing like the real writing. Also, some of the alternate uniforms look pretty bad, like the Nationals red jerseys, the numbers and letters are also red so they blend in with the jersey.

Suggestions: The Phillies should wear red socks with their altenate uniforms, not blue. The Reds should have thier numbers on the front of thier jerseys as well.

Pros: For the most part they look really good. The crowd looks better and the detail in the stadiums is much higher this year (Both stadium and crowd).

Cons: While the crowds look better they all seem to do the same thing. You can see the overlay of people (the guy behind home plate is the same looking guy two sections over...really?). The crowds need to be influenced by the teams play during the year (when you finish in last place you shouldn't be getting 41k to show to watch it). The crowds need to react much better, I know there were some improvements on this for this year, but it's kind of ridiculous when the Thorne and Phillips says, "the crowd is going crazy on their feet with two outs!" and they are all sitting there not even clapping. The crowd should also vary depending on ticket price and atmosphere (this plays in to the fact that you should be able to add new things to stadiums as an owner to make it better (or build new ones) and change the ticket prices).

Suggestions for improvement: ALLOW US TO EDIT,ADD, CREATE NEW STADIUMS!!! Please, this made MVP 05 such a great game! Think Madden! Work out deals with the city/state to get new stadiums based on how much you put down. Allow the user to add new features to their ballpark (within reason) to create excitement for the new year (think KC Royals - great example).

There are things in the game that are good and things that are bad. I think there is a good variety in uniforms but there are ones i would like to see added for my team

First, I would like to see the light blue jerseys the Cardinals wore during the 80's added into the game. They are one of the fan favorite Cards jerseys and should be in the game. As should the 1944 style jerseys worn by Stan Musial.

The out of town scoreboard at Busch needs to be fixed as well. It does not act as a scoreboard during games and it should.

Pros- Presentation, wealth of statistical records, Real time

Cons- Uniforms, which has been well documented (esp smaller logos on the hats). Player portraits: I would like to see a digital rendering of the player portraits, so we could have a player wearing their current hat as well as created or generated players having a portrait as well.

Suggestions- Add franchise realism like 40 man rosters, spring training arbitration etc...

That being said, I'm really looking forward to next years installment. I know you guys can beat up on that other game.

MY QUESTION IS, WHERES THE WIND FACTOR?IM A CUBS FAN AND A BIG PART OF THE STYLE OF THE CUBS WHEN THEY PLAY AT HOME IS THE WIND.IF THE WIND IS BLOWING OUT THE CUBS WILL TRY TO PUT THE BALL IN THE AIR MORE.iF THE WIND IS BLOWING IN YOU KNOW ITS GOING TO BE A PITCHERS DUEL.THE GAME HAS NO WIND FACTOR, AND JERSEYS DONT EVEN MOVE IN THE WIND.I THINK IF JERSEYS MOVED FROM THE WIND AND YOU ADDED A WIND FACTOR I THINK THAT WOULD ADD ALOT TO THE GAME.LAST YEAR JERSEYS MOVED BUT STILL NO WIND FACTOR.I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW GOING INTO A GAME IF I COULD CHALLENGE A HITTER MORE IF THE WIND WAS BLOWING IN, OR PITCH AROUND GUYS IF THE WIND WAS BLOWING OUT.2K NEEDS TO ADD A MPH WIND FACTOR AND IT WOULD HELP THE COMPETITIVENESS AND REALISM TO THE GAME

PROS: the fans stand up when there is a big play in the game

CONS: the stadiums do not look realistic and are not up to date- e.g.: Fenway's renovations aren't featured and Dodger Stadium hasn't had red outfield seats for 3 years- Also, in Fenway particularly, the skyline of Boston looks absolutely terrible compared to 2k8 and (I know this is a trademark issue) but it would be nice to have the Citco Sign.

Suggestions: Spend a little more time on the stadiums to make sure they are accurate and up to date and don't make every fan above a certain level 2d because (as seen in Fenway) it looks aweful.

I'm only going to complain about Fenway Park. It seems to me that the RF corner near the Pesky Pole is to spacious. Put scores on the scoreboard, MLB The Show can do it with real scores, why can't you? The Green Monster doesn't play right, it's made of metal and balls off it bounce alot more than they do in the game. This would help alot to, be everything The Show is for Xbox 360.
Uniforms, they look fake, definately the alternates, the "B" on Bostons cap looks too goofy and big.
Throw in more classic stadiums, I want Ebbotts field

Pros: Decent stadium models at a glance. Nice Selection of uniform options for some teams.

Cons:
1. An earlier post mentioned that the dimensions for Petco Park still reflect the 2004 dimensions. Bring in the right center wall to 400.
2. 2k had it right since 2k6 regarding the bullpens. The home team uses the center field bullpen and the visiting team uses the pen along the right field line. 2k9 switched it this year and got it wrong.
3. The Padres alternate blue jersey is usually worn on the road games about 80% of the time. Yet the game only allows players to wear the blue jerseys with the white pants.
4. There is essentially no difference between the blue Padres "Cool Base" jersey and the blue Padres Alternate jersey aside from the size of the "Padres" lettering on the front of the jersey, so, it's wasted option to give the player both.
5. In general, the cap/helmet logos are WAY too big.

Suggestions:
1. Please bring back the player option to close or open the retractable-roof stadiums on the game set-up menu.

Bring some old stadiums back. I would love to play in The House that Ruth Built again!

The logos on the hats are too big. Make them smaller.

Suggestion: When you're playing at a stadium with water beyond the outfield (Pittsburgh, San Fran, etc.) make it so the home runs actually splash into the water and not just hit the surface and bounce up. Maybe have a cutscene of someone in a boat catching the ball or something, but it looks bad the way it is.

just wanting to throw some feedback from a Cards fan into the pot.

please add the old light blue throwbacks into the game. the ones the Cards wore them in then 80's, please make them an addition, they were in 2k7 and they are a fan favorite in St. Louis.

Pros: Good selection of jerseys for most teams. Even new jerseys are added.

Cons: Logo's on hats are too big. Alternate jerseys for certain teams are not in the game (i.e. Cardinals Sunday Home Hats). Other fan favorites such as the Cards light blue jerseys from the 80's arent in it either.

Suggestions for improvement: Post a thread and ask fans what uniforms they expect to see in the game. Then make a list of ones you will include. Maybe offer other ones as DLC on Xbox Live. Also include some of the old ballparks, Polo Grounds, Ebbets Field, Astrodome, Busch II, Sportsmans Park, things like that.

PROS: i liked the advertisments behind the plate on the backstop and the stances and emotions are fine...just need to be tweaked (A LOT).

CONS:i dislike how the crowd gets very quiet when a big event happens like bases loaded double in the 9th down by 2. it would be a must having ballpark celebrations like the liberty bell ringing and citizens bank(PHILS) park or the apple at citi field(METS). the players looked better much better in 2k7 to be honest because i didnt even want to buy 2k8. i loved that game a ton and would have kept playing it if it had present rosters and a way to take a ball with out guessing.

suggestions: it would be cool to see vendors walking around in the park like stoping to give a fan in the back round a hot dog or a beverage. also the ball park celebrations and work on the players looks. clean it up, think of 2k7. make the crowd cheer loud when the time comes and boo a-roids. be able to make your own cheers and jeers! please it was so neat in the show. lets face it the show had a lot better stuff to offer this year. but 2k has the stuff to beat it but needs to have more devoted baseball fans and watch games keeping notes and such. listening to all of us and looking at real baseball would be great. lastly when a ball is hit out make it better when the fans are reaching for the ball just a side note. thanks a ton.

pros: you tell me

cons: logos on hats and helmets are way too big and goofy. Did you guys even compare them to pictures of players wearing the hats? The logos are way smaller. The problems with the uniforms are the cause of just plain laziness because 2k doesn't even bother to look at pictures and video of real games to figure this stuff out. Same thing with the stadiums.

Suggestions: please tell me how 2k sports makes baseball games that get beat by a game that is made for only one system (mlb the show) while 2k has the resources to make games for all the currents systems. Obviously 2k is more concerned with making money off of low quality work than actually putting the time and money in to make a game that is on par with another game that came out in 2005 (mvp baseball).

Pros:
• Basic details are good

Cons:
• Amount of Pepsi signs, and all the other signs. There are only about four different signs in the stadiums
• Main scoreboard logic. The scoreboard would not have a box with the info. It uses the WHOLE board to produce that info. The way the stats are presented is horrible. There should be some info on the scoreboard underneath the stats, not just the stats in black-and-white
• There are no other scoreboards in the stadiums except for the main one. In a real stadium, there are a ton of scoreboards on the walls that display a lot of different things (pitch count, pitch speed, batting average, etc.). Not just one big scoreboard in center. And for the few stadiums that do have the small scoreboards, it is just a team animation that keeps repeating and is nothing helpful
• The scoreboards that display other game scores are totally blank. It doesn’t give any info at all. It looks so stupid. Like the Green Monster, and the right field wall in Philly.
• The grass texture is horrible
• There is no lip between the outfield grass and the warning track dirt
• There are no ball boys, they get foul balls etc.
• No dirt movement on slides, and batters “digging in”
• There is no rosin bag, or cleat cleaner behind the pitchers mound
• The same PA announcer at every stadium
• The base coaches are the same for every team
• The same logos that are in the outfield are on the walls
• Fan animations do not correspond with chants (clapping hands, etc.)
• The fans are 2-D in some parts of the stadium and 3-D in others

Suggestions:
• Just look at a picture of a major league ballpark and look at the ballparks in 2k9 and just compare

Pros:

+I like how the field "feels" bigger this year.
+The dirt and grass stains are pretty cool.
+The grass and grass patterns are nicely done.
+I love the advertising in the game. Baseball will put advertising on almost anything, but including it in the game is great. Especially if you change the advertising througout the season via XBOX Live. Just be sure to put it in the correct places and don't generalize all the parks together. I know you probably can't get Under Armour's logo on the gates at Wrigley, but put whatever logo you have an agreement with out there.

Cons:

-The uniforms aren't very accurate at all. I don't like how if I'm playing with the Cubs in Houston and I want the Cubs to wear their blue tops, the game defaults their pants to the white pinstripes (which are home uniform standards). This is very simple: teams wear white pants at home and grey pants on the road. This is standard. In 2K10, be sure to get all the accurate alternate jerseys from the teams; just be sure that the teams in the game wear grey bottoms in away parks.

-The brick and wall textures throughout the parks don't look great at all. Why can't these be cleaned up to look a little more realistic and a lot less cartoony?

-Subtle nuances in parks, like the curved insets in far left and far right fields at Wrigley, aren't pointed and jagged like in the game. Their curved. Also, where's the peeping gate in right field?

-The ivy on the walls at Wrigley isn't static. It moves with the wind. It falls off when a player gets to the wall. Just like the baggy gives when Gomez bangs against it in the Baggy Dome in Minnesota.

-Get the base coach names and numbers right, please. Why does the manager always wear a jacket?

-Overall I think the stadiums look okay. They could certainly look better with a few texture upgrades (bricks and concrete backstops, moving ivy, etc) and careful detail to unique subleties of the parks.

-I've never understood why the scoreboards in the parks aren't reflective of the action going on in my franchise. If I'm in Houston playing the Astros, I want to see that the Cardinals are beating the Brewers in real time with what's actually going on in my franchise.

-When a ball leaves the yard, can it please react appropriately to the environment of the park? When it leaves Wrigley in centerfield, the ball doesn't travel up the surface magically. It hits the plants, bounces and dies there. If it hits the pavillion out there, it makes a loud "clunk" on the roof. If it hits the vacated seats, it rattles around in there like a Plinko chip.

Suggestions: try harder to capture the ballparks and recreate them accurately (same with the uniforms). This will go a long way to make your game more enjoyable for the players.

Pros: none i can really think of

Cons:
-stadiums should be more detailed. the advertisements like on outfield walls should be real, and put on stuff like what the phillies have on theirs with the sign honoring harry kalas.
-things like the apple at shea and the bell in philly with home runs, and also the music or sound that goes off when a team hits a home run, like in tampa where its like a police siren. and things like in philly after every homer when harry kalas says "this balls outta here!" im not sure if this would go under stadiums or presentation.
-most of the jerseys are messed up. for example, the hats for the braves are mixed up with the away jerseys and navy blue alternate away jerseys, alot of jerseys that dont have numbers on the front do, like the phillies home alternate, some colors are messed up. and whats the point of the cool base jersey? instead of that have correct regular jerseys first. also more retro jerseys.
- when editing the color of a players spikes, you should be able to change the general color of the shoe instead of just the laces, toungue, bottom of the shoe etc. for instance, as you can tell im using a lot of phillies examples because i love playing with my team, when you edit a player's spikes you cant change the general red color. you shoudl be able to change that to white as the main color with red accessories.
-the batting gloves are just ugly. the white isnt so white its more gray-ish. maybe its just me. and get rid of all those rediculous colors like brown, dark brown, earth, teal, purple, the only colors that should be available should be the team colors and black, white, gray, red and blue.
-for some reason most of the time when i have a right-handed batter on base his helmet switches over to a left-handed batter helmet with the flap over the right ear. it just looks funny on guys. ive never seen a right handed guy switch helmets when he gets on base, have you?

Suggestions: really to just read what i wrote and fix them. haha

I didnt like the way the Uniforms this year... Some of the colors are either dark enough or light.. The jerseys dont move when the wind is blowing. I also think you guys should have all the throwback jerseys on there.. Stadiums look descent but it can be better Kauffman Stadium doesnt have the outfield seats which was a shame... If you guys make 2k10 as good as the show you guys are getting better

Pros - Stadium lighting

Cons - Stadium details ( blank scoreboards, clocks have no hands ) / Uniform details ( overall, the uniforms aren't accurate ) - both the stadiums and the uniforms suffer from the same problem the rest of the game sufferes from - LACK OF EFFORT from the developing team

In old NFL 2k games, in franchise mode, you were able to update and modify stadiums in the offseason. Can 2k add this to the MLB series? I would love to be able to update stadiums like Citi field and change the dimesions of the field because I think the field is too big and I want more homeruns for my team. I think this would be a great sell for fans, especially hardcore fans like myself to be able to control my team this way.

Pro: I like how when you hit a homerun, you see the fan who catches it show it off and celebrate. But then again, it is always the same fan. It'd be great if it was DIFFERENT fans who caught the home runs.

Cons: Fans are unresponsive, and many details are left out of stadiums.

Suggestions: create a stadium mode, where you choose wall heights and depths, seating capacity, attractions, custom luxury boxes and things for fans to do. Also, have fans interact (do the wave, Red Sox get booed at Yankee Stadium and vice versa.) One last thing, have real advertisments. This is just a thought, but wouldn't companies pay to advertise in a video game as popular as MLB 2K? It would just give stadiums a more authentic feel.

I got thinking. If the attendance is 30,000 then have 30,000 fans in the stands with empty seats. I use the Jays and the Rogers Centre is never full.

Pros: new shadows and shirt movement is a big improvement (thank you so much for getting rid of the plastic bag shirts from previous years)

Cons: I don't know how this hasn't already been fixed but obviously the logos on the hats are way too big and goofy. It doesn't look like the hat in real life and the logos look like they are stickers on the hat rather than actually sewn in.

Can you please try to include accurate uniforms in 2k10? I can't think of any other sports video game where the uniforms are so far off than in 2K9. I'm surprised MLB lets you get away with depicting their product so inaccurately. Please... Just try...

Pros
I like the option of having the "throwback" jerseys.

Suggestions
Could more "throwback" jerseys be created. Like the Homestead Grays jerseys for the Pirates as an example.
PLEASE give the manager a jacket with the logo or name of the team he is manager of. Instead of him just wearing a jacket that is the color of the team he coaching.
Along that note, could the manager also be wearing an actual uniform in the summer months. I don't think they would all be wearing jackets in the blistering heat of July.

Pros: Love the Alternate Jerseys and the throwbacks

Cons: Lacking some attention to detail, notice some times you can see through hat and see the player's head. I hate how you have to unlock jerseys.

Suggestions for improvement: Little more attention to detail, more throwback jerseys, and make sure you don't have to unlock all the stuff.

Pros:
the stadiums look good and everything looks nice in all stadiums

cons:
wen a batter hits to the outfield the outfielder someway somehow disappears and goes through the wall in the outfield

Suggestions:

Make the way the players run more realistic make them look motivated to get the ball they just looks like they are running and you control them. It would be nice if you actually make them look as if they were in a hurry and they actually want to get the ball.

Also the uniforms of the players are just on them and arent waving around because of the wind like in mlb 2k8, now dont make their uniforms look like if there is a fan in front of them make it look more like as if actual wind was blowing through.

Another thing you should fix is to make the U.S. flag to wave because of the wind in Mlb 2k9 it looks as if your to be shaking a piece of cardboard side to side.

PROS: I don't know why everybody is being so arrogant about the uniforms and stadiums. Ugly? I thought the stadium detail was excellent considering how many ballparks had to be modeled... and as for uniforms: c'mon now! There were TONS of uniforms, from the Padres camoflouge to the Nationals stars and strips. I thought the jersey selection in 2k9 was outstanding.

CONS: None in this catagory man. If you guys want to add MORE jerseys, that would just be icing on the cake. ;-)
