I like the presentation this year.

But, it seems much too easy to hit home runs. It doesn't seem to use the same hitting engine as the game, all you do is hold up on the left stick and swing.

There should be some kind of stamina meter and the ability to determine the amount of effort you put into your swings.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: It is FAR too easy to hit home runs. Basically as said before, hold up and swing away. I've had perfect rounds far too many times. It should pretty much never happen and I've done it more times than I can count. Some sort of swing timing method needs to be implemented. Or maybe something you have to do to build up power, repeatedly tapping a button? Or a timing meter? (like the dunk contest in NBA 2K9) Something other than hold up, swing and press A to get to the next pitch quickly to win. I can hit them out wherever. Left, right, center. The Show has a more realistic HR derby to be honest.

Pros: Announcer made it exciting.

Con: That excitement dies after the first round. Needs better camera angles. Bouncing homeruns off the scoreboard or other things like the bay in SF is fun, need to be able to see it.

Suggestion: Make it harder to hit a homerun. Not harder as in the dice roll to hit one wont roll, but add some sort of hitters eye or something. Bullettime batting or something.

PROS: The announcing at the beginning is awesome!
I like the whole presentation of it, I think its great!

CONS: Like other people have said, push up and swing. Guaranteed homerun
The ability to hit a homer to every direction in the stadium is crazy
No timing needed really...just move the swing stick at any time.

SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT: For online you should allow 8 people to join in on one home run derby and then allow us to play the rounds and then once we are done make stats of who won and how many total home run derbys they have won.
Turn the power down a lot!
Make the direction stick less effective
STAMINA! have a stamina bar and every time you swing it decreases and then once you take a pitch it gradually increases...
Announcers during the home run derby! so boring with no announcers.
Fans need to be more into it...have it to where there is not an area of the stadium that it will hit the ground without a fan there...
