You didnt answer my question. Whats the difference if the top three players have 86-88, 96-98,
or 106-108?
B-Sides We already know who then top players are.
You dont need a number next to it. A few points in overall doesnt really change the way a player plays anyway.

the difference is that if they're 86 that means ratings like close mid 3 are lower there for they dont make as many shots compared to a 99 rating

i made some minor edits to ur Wizards
i don't have a problem with those changes. but the reason i had gil at 92 is because he was a 96 (i believe) last season, and he barely played the year before that. caron though had a great year so i could see him being a 92. i just wasn't trying to give my team to much credit.

Vaughn could never have a such a low score in 2ks system. He is a smart player so he should have high offensive awareness, he is a pass first PG so he should have high passing, he has a low turnover rate so he has to have decent ballhandling. Any PG with solid scores in those ratings is going to have an overall in the 70s or better. Matter of fact an accurately rated Vaughn might end up with a better overall than Hill even though Hill would still be the better player in the game. Unlessssss VC changes the system

Even if the game tallied the overall based on an average of scores an 86 would still be a tad high for a close rating for Kobe and a damn high med rating for James. It would be a better 3P score than both of them deserve with 2k9s default sliders.
You made sure to name ratings that matter. We know half the ratings dont matter much at all or only matter if they are dramatically lowered or raised so a few points up or down in half the ratings could change the overall by at least five points without effecting the value of the player except for trade value.

This thread is pointless. How about taking the time to actually give your players the correct individual ratings and then post the overall rating. I have noticed that when you ignore the overall and just focus on accurate individual ratings which is what the Insider should do the overall score is different than what you would guess or predict based on how good a player is in real life.
Rondo is a perfect example. If you give Rondo accurate ratings he is going to have a high overall score because he can do everything except shoot and his shooting isnt as bad as hist hot spots make him out to be so you should slightly overrate his shooting too. The system doesnt penalize low shooting ratings for PGs like it does for SGs and SFs.
On paper Rondo doesnt seem like a player who deserves close to a 90 but with the way the game tallies the overall for PGs he is a player in the high 80s.

82? With all the rebounding and passing skills, not to mention speed and ability to drive, he should be AT LEAST 85. You didn't see him averaging triple-doubles?
85? fine... but 90? no no no!

Who cares what his overall is if the other ratings are accurate. If you give Rondo accurate ratings he will have close to an 88. The guy had 15 rebounds in one game in the playoffs he is a player who's main weakness is ignored by the rating system.
Matter of fact if you accurately rate pass first PGs they will have higher overall ratings than most positions.

would it matter? he would just be raised back up to the 90s after a few games of being healthy.
