NBA 2K9 was the best basketball game I have ever played... Hopefully they don't change too much... Just fix some bugs, add to the realism of the players, announcers, arenas, those types of things... Unless EA Sports completely re-done nba live did something like completely breathtaking then i'm sure NBA 2K10 will take NBA 2K9s place as the best basketball ever...

there are quite a few things 2k10 can change to make this game more realistic.

1. Get rid of the spin cycle
2. No more full court passes period. Cherry picking is not realistic.
3.. Inside game is way too easy.
4. Less steals from behind while going up for a layup - dunk.

Those are just the three things on the top of my head.

full court passes do happen in real life... i agree with the other stuff...

So in real life you see people get a rebound and then throw it perfectly under the basket over and over and over again?

the offline game is great, but the online game should be the focus. they already got the offline game doing good, now it's time to make the online game more realistic, which (when considering the realism of 2k9 online), shouldn't be hard.

it is possible to make full court passes and it does happen that's all i'm saying... if anything they should change the success rate and possibly make the ball bounce to guys or whatever but don't take them out... taking out things that happen in real life takes away from the game's realism in my opinion....

Oh please give us lobbies back. Give us an unranked or ranked i don't care SIM lobby where the game settings are adjusted for more realistic play. Turn dunks way down shoot in traffic down turn up fouls make the game enjoyable for people who don't wanna just wiggle the stick around and button mash please.

yeah i agree with this. id love it if they just focused on making every player different, different moves, different shots, just make basically every player play different in a way. Like don't give everyone the same dunks, layups, shots etc. It would make it great, just adding heaps of different shots and things.

Even focusing on how rookies play, just make everyplayer play different and add heaps of signature moves/style. and ofcourse fix the bugs and stuff

They need to get rid of the rubbish momentum. It's just too much.

A few things i would like to see done for NBA 2K10.

1. Updates that change the players personal style (Hair Cut) - I hate watching a real game then playing 2k9 seeing old stuff.
2. Less dunks and layups you cant stop (Auto Animations) - Really drives me crazy.
3. Better Player Signature shots - Some are on point and some are way off.
4. More Animations for splitting defenders, (Euro Step D-wade and Manu does), More Signature Dribble Animations.
5. Better On Ball Defense, Keyword - On Ball

They don't needa change much??? Did you not play 2K9 w/ the sliders not being touched??? That's was by far one of the most broken down sport games I've ever played. That's all the sport games for 09' in general. They just need to add a couple of new features like rolling the ball inbounds late in the game or whenever, the use of stamina (over usage of a player), speed factor, the fast break, some new alley-oops, new special moves for players w/ handles (CP3 shld be able to dribble between a person's leg when on the fastbreak) just need a whole bunch of new moves in general

Yeah, how cld I forget that!!!? Man, once Kobe or LeBron get into that mode, you can hang it up, but I don't really have a problem w/ that to be honest when it comes to them 2 players...but its when other players do it too. Home-Court advantage in the playoffs is a lil unreal as well. I like how the got the season play knowing a player can't post up big numbers day and nite for an entire season, but they need more injuries to occur

online games are what 5 minutes?? i say dudes who normaly play big minutes should be able to play maybe 16-17 minutes per game without being completely useless... playing 15 minutes in a 20 minute game is equal to playing 36 minutes in a 48 minute game... it is completely normal for certain guys to play 40+ minutes...

i want specific coach profiles for all positions.... i put crashing the boards at 100, and the pg just stands outside and doesn't race back court for D.... when i set 100 crash the board i only want 1-3 players to contest for the off board not the entire team
and definitely new instruction on coverage to prevent cherry picking... loose, normal or stick to ur man like glue... this will definitely neutralise cherry picking but it allows occasional cherry picking if the Dfender is out of position... cherry picking occurs in real life but not disgustingly excessively like 2k9 online mode

 - ESPECIALLY animations like:

1. the computer forces your player to slide into a "moving" defender for a charge, especially when you're not even holding turbo or MOVING IN THE DIRECTION THAT IT SUCKS YOU INTO!!!

2. when your play is ahead on the fastbreak and goes up for a dunk, then SIMULTANEOUSLY changes the shot when a defender gets near "JUST" to get stripped or blocked---HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU SEE NBA players get strip going to the hole in one game?

3. OMG!!! PASSING/TURNONVERS on those ignorant, dumb-founded bounce passes in the paint? Why would NBA players attempt that in traffic? Directional passing was almost non-existent in 2K9! We need more control over passing (like bullet pass vs lob / chest vs bounce)

I LOVE NBA 2K (from Dreamcast to now) and I really thought NBA 2K9 was going to blow me away but I was mildly disappointed in the incompleteness of NBA 2K9 and the sloppiness that followed.

MY ONLY ISSUES WITH 2K9 ARE:

* TOO MUCH COMPUTER (A.I.) HELP ON DEFENSE allowing poorly skilled gamers to be way better than they should be. Computer defense combined with momentum = ridiculous game results!!! Guys win without even trying to play defense is just unacceptable. The main thing is gamers let the computer contest all shots, which it does perfectly almost every time and hardly ever fall for fakes or get taken off the dribble. Computer just stick to you like 2K8 lock-on DEF.

Keep in mind: Ratings matter so it's not like a computer player should not react/help at all, but when the computer is simply winning the game for a gamer, that is FRUSTRAITING as H3LL!!! Seems like 80-90% on gamers online just try to score and then let the computer defend. I don't think that's fair for guys who focus on defense and get minimum help from the computer due to playing on ball and switching. THAT Kills the competition. MORE BALANCED, REALISTIC COMPUTER HELP = Better competitive game. IF you play defense you should be rewarded. What ever happen to having to guess right/left when you reach at the ball or taking a charge. What happened to "improved Lock-on defense? Shading, Hedging, Fronting, and fighting over picks is nice but you still get beat off the dribble by a barrage of isomotion moves every time. IF you move the joystick good enough you should be rewarded by staying in front and cutting guys off - but that's sometimes impossible on 2K9!

PLEASE CLEAN UP THE AI & Lock-On Def and make it more realistic! Put the game results back into the gamers' hands.

2K need to make a decision, either go sim and fix all the problems that are unrealistic. Like help defence, CPU players shooting off the dribble etc. Or just go full blown arcade and please the majority of the online players.

2k needs to stay sim that is why i crossover from live and I was a die hard livefan. You couldnt tell me nothing I use to be ones those fools who thought live was the best. So 2k get back to being you instead of impressing the little kids that want to play like this is Nba jams

If that ever happens, its the end of 2k.. and Live will prevail the world
